I would also encourage checking your breathing patterns in rhythm with the cadence of the dribbles. This helps to slow the game down and time some "constructive reaching" as I like to call it.
My favorite is catching a player from behind and poking it. Say the team gets a rebound. I would be probably be under the basket because I failed to get the rebound. I would sprint behind the person with the ball before their teammate could alert them that I was coming. It surprises me how often this works but it may be because I play pick up ball and not for an organized team.
Baller Boot Camp but I surely overreach reach a lot as well. I'm very aggressive on D which is mostlyt good but also costs a lot of stamina and sometimes you get caught reaching. Mostly I can readjust quickly but if the opponent is good then you can go get a hot dog while he drives to the basket. :)
