Advanced Hybrid it's an illusion, just like the Iedolas body hanging. The real Iedolas was turn into a demon in chapter 13. Also, my guess is that that psychomancer IS Nyx Ulrick.
We don't really know if he died in the movie since there's no hard evidence to him dying. who knows, maybe the kings of Lucis had him do something for them (like try to get rid of ardyn) that eventually led to his death. Besides, why would ardyn string him up in the throne room for noctis to see if he doesn't even know who nyx is.
even tho we didnt see him actaully "die", the kings of the past clearly state in the movie that the use of the ring is the cost of his life. also the reason he could be strung up is because he was a kingsglaive member. the look of his outfit is enough and Ardyn has seen him anyway. Nyx was well known for a member. We dont know much about his past besides what little facts was thrown at us in the movie and one was that Nyx loves to play the hero card.
I guess it's different for everyone, because I also ran past everyone and when I got there, he wasn't there. I even ran all the way back and again, he wasn't there. Then I massacred every monster in the area and he *was* there.

Thank you, your method finally got me the Kukris. I don't know if it was killing the black flans, or following the path to the Yojimbo and the Nagas, but this is what finally worked for me.

Saw something REALLY helpful on reddit for the psychomancer (assuming it is the same as the 10 you find in the 100 floor dungeon). Use your best greatsword and ignis' enchant. Just melts the mob.
One of my viewers informed me about this while I was streaming Chapter 14 on Twitch but I was too much of a babby to go back and do it because I was only in the mid 40's level-wise. Boy am I glad I listened to my instinct! Will definitely use this to eventually go back and claim Ulrich's Kukris for myself, though. Awesome video!
They made Yojimbo so cheap in this installment. Yojimbo in theory can one shot anything if he wanted to- including Ifrit. They should have at least made him into an optional boss that is bigger and stronger than this.
inn - k Well they have yojimbo and then Ronin. Usually the Ronin is a high level and will one shot you or one combo you sooo you got your wish. Unless you use defense accecories and the magitek suit
For anyone who has problems getting it to spawn like I did, you can use the method I did. After going all the way back to where the Psycomancer spawns at, if the Iseultalon is there kill it. Once you kill it, go back down the subway and kill the mob of enemies down there. Come back up, kill the spider daemon, and the Psycomancer should be there on the main rode after that.
Nyx is awesome the fact he's even has referenced in this game adds to one of the very few tiny things this game gets right compared to others, have material, and use it. Would've been a massive shame if kingsglave was just a big movie for the plot of xv and not have actual presence in the game. To where as you didn't need to see kingsglave, but now someone who doesn't know about nyx or kingsglave on finding this dagger will be like hey imma look into this and then finding about kingsglave and such. Will the chances of that happening be high? F no, but there's always a small few who are oblivious to such things.
I find it interesting that Nyx and Noctis have basically the same name, both meaning "night" or "darkness" though Nyx had a far better backstory and was a far more developed and interesting character compared to Noctis in my opinion instead of being a tired moody stereotype that can't voice act for shit.
For some reason, it won't work. That one thing with the lasers keeps spawning, plus the soldiers would spawn rather than the Psychomancer. I had it spawn once but I was an idiot and used the Ring of the Lucii to get an instant kill. Does that mean it won't spawn again?
Pole well... Noctis had his hands full fighting Leviathan to protect Luna from the inevitable and Noctis and Luna couldn't have shown their feelings because there isn't a seen that involves them as adults just talking. The closest we see to their love is when she summons the Kings of Lucis putting him in Ultima Armiger and when she heals him and holds him tight before drowning.
Lol "bosses". They are just casual monsters in the post-game dungeons but they are so hard before you know their moves! Thanks for the video, I will definitely go and get these, Nyx is so awesome!
I see. I will equip those dual swords to Ignis, since he's a specialist to these. I finished the FFXV and got the platinum trophy. I'll play NG+ when patch comes out just to see the differences they plan to make with the story, and especially chapter 13.
xDarrkShux so? Me too. Just load the last save file. Go to the tower again, ifrit will be there again. And go up the elevator and go back down again. Defeat the 2 red giants and go back to the central where you started. There he is. I got it too after completing the game
When the Pyschomance didn't show up, all I did was turn around, distance myself a little, and then came back and it was there. I don't think there's a need to run all the way around and come out the other end.

I tried this... doesnt work for me :( Theres no Psycomancer there, only a lvl72 Iseultalon(looks the same as Naglfar)... I've already killed Ardyn when I tried this thing, so does that mean it doesnt work for me? Or is there only a slim chance that its gonna be a Psycomancer there instead of the Iseultalon??
Nevermind, I got the spawn anyway. After having killed everything, I headed back down to the subway. The mobs there had respawned, so I killed all of them, headed back up where I had come from, the daemon spiderbitch was there so I killed her too. Headed over to where mini-naglfar had been, and low and behold, there was a psycomancer there instead :)
Artorias of the Abyss read my followup comment 😉 i killed that guy, went back in the subway to respawn the mobs, headed back up, killed the spiderbitch, went out to the main street, and there he was ;)
For those playing royal edition or the windows edition only works in chapter 14 u must kill also yojimbo two nagas the black flans, the subway spawn nd the spider lady too when this is done, all of this Psychomanccer will spawn lvl 82 bring stone nd death inmunity or u're dead stone corpse haha (:
Psychomancer is easiest to fight. You just have to stay hugged to him and blindside atk and wack him all day. And when your right next to him he can't stun you and when he does his green attack you just parry it when the warning button comes.
facundo escobar woah, that would be dark, I like it. But after thinking, I'm not sure if that would be possible or not. Did Nyx ultimately disintegrate after using the ring's power? I wasn't certain. So, maybe Psychomancer is?
There's a spoiler in this reply, so don't keep reading if you haven't beaten the game. Ok, so I don't think it can be his Daemon form because we see his body hanging in the throne room when you go fight Ardyn. As cool as that would be.
facundo escobar I'm not sure about them. When I first saw it, I thought the same, that they were just illusions, but then I saw someone point out that they never found Luna's body, and the reason was because Ardyn had it and used it in that room. But now that I think about it more, I remember that it seemed like Nyx's body disintegrated, so there would be nothing to hang. I'm back to leaning more towards illusions.
btw if your in the next chapter you cant do it...ive done this way and a few others trying and if you passed it up the first time your screw'd till you hit NG+ and play all over again.
Can't find the 3 black flan, you skipped ahead to them which I understand saved time in the vid but I can't find them anywhere, explored the whole map.
unfortunately this no longer works in the Royal Edition. I've killed the Psychomancer in that exact spot 5 times, the blades will not spawn for pick up.
Also, what is a better weapon, a Pole Arm or the Daggers? I've never used the daggers in the game the whole time I've played it, but they look very powerful.

I don’t understand I do everything correctly and kill the psychomancer and he doesn’t drop anything, no blue sparkly to pick up. I followed everything to a tee and made him spawn first try and this is the second time I’ve killed him to get nothing
Blitzer just kill whatever you see, then the psychomancer will be there. If is not there, just go back down subway and up again take another route. First time didnt work for me, second time, i killed everything except yojimbo.
Okay I need some advice. I finished all this and got the dual blades. But is there a reason why I can't use unlimited air steps with them like I can with One Handed Swords? Would appreciate any insight
level 100 Red Giants always a little harder than other high level monsters. Killed Ifrit walk by the door in the Citadel , went back out killed the 2 RG and mostly everything but the flans. Got the weapons🙊👍
I explored the open world and became level 65 and the final 3 battles were price of cake easiest boss battles ever. love the game tho. can't wait for the dlc

So I have a unique problem where I killed it, but I don't think the item spawned. I used the ring. Killed it and I got nothing. I then re loaded the game to see maybe they would just spawn in the area I killed it (I saved the game after I killed it) still nothing. Idk what is going on lol
I haven't checked myself but what if I fought all those bosses before i fought ifrit? would i have to go back and kill them again? and do you just avoid the giant behemoth type monster?

i dunno what i have been wrong.. i follwed the instructions clearly killed every monster on the area but whenever i turn up on that location that crab monster and soldiers are always popping not the pyromancer can someonr help me.pls.. i have been going on it 8 turns now T.t
So I beat Ifrit, 2 giants, The troopers and Imps, the spider lady, The samurai, and the 2 nagas but when I got out of the Main road All I saw was troopers and the pokemon looking monster
Been trying to get these for a while and found out that the recent update might have messed with the drop rate of the daggers. I tried a couple times and can't get them to drop. Anyone else experiencing this?
i know that im two years late, but i did everything, killed the psychomancer three times and my problem is that the item dont drop, if still have someone who yet play this game, i accept some help. (ps4 version of the game).
