Just a heads up, for the shadows, you could have just had them at the bottom of that tower. They are more than tall enough.

I love how Nintendo decided to have all these cool armor sets in the game for you to find. In the age that we live in where all these companies nickel and dime you with dlc packs for this type of stuff. This game gives me old school gaming vibes. Just do the work and you can get something very cool

@@Sircoochie the comment is applauding Nintendo bc they could easily make the Tunic of Awakening and Fierce Deity Link sets on eshop for like $5 each instead knowing that people would buy them. But instead Nintendo decided to make them into side quests so you can get them. Also when totk gets a dlc it won’t just be adding armor, you’ll get tons of extra content, lore, more hours of added gameplay from new missions... and Nintendo does a great job of not charging a lot for their dlc either

This game was $70 at launch and will 100% have paid dlc that causes the price of the entire thing to at least go to $95 before taxes and fees, if not more. They had damn well better give us a few sets of armor. A functional game filled with interesting content should be the bare minimum for a triple A release but it seems like we're going backwards (obv not saying this last bit is the fault of the consumer)

For the log puzzle you can also use a stake to attach it directly to the top of the pillar without any issues of it falling over

You can just stay on the ground and not climb the pillar at all. Still works.

For the third part, you don’t need to have the log touching the southern pillar. I connected 5 logs and held them up horizontally to where the shadow barely touched the southern shadow at the bottom and the northern tower at the top. I’m not sure how much better or worse this is in comparison to how you did it, but it’s always good to know you have options!

I just connected them and stood somewhere between the pillars on the ground. As long as the shadows are connecting there’s no need to get on top of a pillar.

Tip. Follow the Kohga quest in the depths, you will get a schema that builds a bridge. It fits perfectly between the pillars

7:34 you dont have to stand the tree bridge up. If you get it on a pillar just hover it until the shadows connect for a second and the cave permanently opens.

Came to watch this after finishing the quest for myself. For the third part, I ended up attaching four logs to a stake and had it all attached to the top of the tower. Took a few attempts before using the stake, and it made it so much easier!

Thanks for the helpful videos. With this one, I found the logs didn’t have to be on top of the stone pillar. Worked with the logs just in front at noon.

Thank you for your videos. Very helpful. Just FYI, for the mask, you don’t have to climb atop the tower but just connect it from the ground level. I just figured that out by trying it before going through the hassle of ultrahand/recall portion.

Thanks Austin, also as some have mentioned below, you can just cut 5 logs, make campfire and sit for noon, pick up the 5 connected logs you connected and lay it horizontally from north to south, no need to put the log vertically on top of the pillar. But thanks for the guide, really appreciate it bro cheers.

I actually used 4 logs and still got it to open, great vid! I was a bit disappointed it was a big mask and not a regular hat with the hair link has in the little cut scenes cause i love that look for him

For the third part, Mask of Awakening, I stood on the ground with 5 logs and raised them up, walked to the end of the pillars shadow and extended it. I think as long as you extend the shadow with no gaps there is no need to touch the southern pillar.

I used a zonia stake on the side at the bottom it let me grab the logs move then half way up. climbed the piller and could grab the stake again. it'll go into the small rocks on top. no need for the quick hand timing. awesome video buddy keep cranking them out

I went ahead and grabbed an extra log for the third piece of the armor and leaned it against the pillar so that I could grab it from the top when I climbed up. Less steps, same result. Still thank you for the video. I really appreciate everything that you are doing to help us.

Thanks for the video! This is the only amiibo costume I didn't have, nor did I have the amiibo at all. For the Thundra Plateau build, I cut down three trees, autobuilt another three to attach to it, then tried to use a ton of Stabilizers. for some reason, they hate stabilizing large columns of wood, so it didn't stay upright. I ended up with a stack of five wood and five Stabilizers, even though I was just using Ultrahand to hold it all.

Thanks this was very helpful. Btw for the mask the switching between ultra hand and recall was a great call. But after that what I did is instead of finding that sweet spot where the logs would just stay still i just held it in place with ultra hand. At first I wasn’t even sure if it would work I was just trying something different.

For the plateau I used your tip to just the log pulled on the side standing up then set a camp fire to noon and after a second or two the door opened ez. Loved the guide and can’t wait to save the princess looking like a dead rising Lego head rip off lol. My new favorite head piece but not armor set, that goes to the new mystic set.

Hi Austin I saw someone put 4 logs together and attach a stake at one end, then he leaned the whole thing with the stake facing upward, he grabbed it from the stake and flipped it around while Link was standing on the pillar and inserted the stake into the pillar, then turned time to noon and it worked. So... this is interesting! I was working on getting the mask, and... well it turns out you don't even need to stand the logs up! they can be laid down on the ground between the south and north pillars and the shadow cast under them will open the door. It's lucky for me because I wanted to use the recall trick after sleeping and the pillar somehow fell perfectly between south and north so as soon as I 'woke up' at noon, the door unlocked for me! Might help out others who are trying to get that log up to the top!

Other's may have mentioned this, but you can use ascend through logs. So if you pick the logs up as high as they'll go, put them back down and use recall, you can then ascend through them to avoid climbing (if you're feeling fancy)

Hey Austin, great videos! I haven't checked the entire backlog of TotK videos, so forgive me if you've already covered this, but is it possible to string multiple modifiers for higher damage? For example, if I fuse a bone weapon/material to a Zora weapon, can I get its damage to go very high by using an upgraded Radiant Set for Bone Proficiency, having Sidon get me wet with his ability, and then stack an attack elixir on top of it? The types of horns/antlers Lynels have are typically bone, does the game consider them bone materials? Even if the base damage of a weapon isn't that great, putting three damage could work wonders.

At one point during depths exploration you will get a schema stone for a bridge, it should be more than tall enough for the shadow puzzle part.

I know the quest versions are a one time thing for these armors but you can buy them back if you sold them right? from the NPC you mentioned the other day? also can you get them again from Amiibo if you have the amiibo required?

You dont have to bring the logs all the way up. You can leave them on the ground in between the pillars.

I’ve only gotten the mask so far but I only used 4 or 5 of the stumps. I know I didn’t grab six but either way it’s easier to just angle the long stump against the tower then at noon just hold it with ultra hand to connect the shadows. No need to stand it directly on top.

Guys, you can just put the tree pillow you made at the last puzzle in front of the statue and works. You don’t need to do all the stuff we put it up.

Pro tip. You can use a stake to hold evrything up. Stake as in the zonai device stake.

Hi, you actually don't have to lift it up at all. You can just hold it horizontal standing in the shadow of the southern column and then the shadow of the tree column will connect as well.

Omg AUSTIN READ MY COMMENT!! 😂😂 so I made my logs... I got it set up to recall and make the shadow.. the log fell off in a way that the front and back of the logs hit both pillars from the ground.. I slept till noon and as soon as I woke up I hear the noise and got the mask.. so you cut down the trees and lay the logs down from the south pillar touching the north.. don't ask how or why it worked. But it did
