You are absolutely right about those spring clamps. I just replaced all the coolant hoses on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Yes, they were a b**** to reach and a b**** to remove. I went back with worm gear clamps knowing that I would have to re-check them after running the Jeep. I purchased a spring clamp tool set.

I think I might have a leak from the tip of my new upper hose i see tiny spray trails coming from that specific area my upper/lowers hoses are brand new but has the old factory clamps, my mechanic used the old clamps he said they were still good at the time but lately I’ve been seeing a tiny leaking spray trail from the tip of upper hose(opposite side of the radiator) I’m guessing it’s from that old factory clamp, could I replace that clamp w a new shiny silver standard clamp that has screw flat head for tightening without disconnecting the upper hose and if I do is it mandatory for me to reflush the entire coolant system meaning I gotta buy gallons of coolant and drain n fill n re burp the entire system?

Those clamps are always in the worst spot on top of it, and especially when you can't use the cable pliers in tight spots.

You're not kidding it's a bich clamp.. I spent about 30 minutes per clamp and yes I had the heater hose clamp removal vise-grip script tool but what gave me the hard time was trying to fit that little tab into the opposite end to give it that little extra room so that the clamp could move freely. Now I understand why there was a pick a crooked looking pic next to the tool when I purchased it. Next time by the pic

Yep.........Trying to pull them off w/ a standard set of channel locks is a BUGER. Finally busted the clamp. Need to buy a replacement and then fight to re-install. Harbor Freight, huh? Might check it out. Thanks.

I tried using vice grips and borke one side of the clamp and now it's stuck on the radiator hose with no way of taking it off. Either im going to buy this tool or going to try to cut it off wih a grinder. I fucked up and now have to spend more money smh

Yeah then things are stupid as hell…… I would cut it off with the grinder it’ll save you a lot of headache. Sorry that happened to you that’s happened to me before and it really sucks because sometimes if you’re not careful you cut into that hose then you got a replace it to in some instances I wish you the best God bless good luck

Squeeze a little bit tighter and wiggle and it will come loose

Well sometimes you have to hold them And pull the hose off at the same time there’s been times where I’ve cut the hose and just put a different hose clamp on it but I made sure I cut it real close so I was able to reuse the hose. That’s a real pain in the ass when that happens

It’s hard to believe but they’re actually called hose clamp pliers some makers call them Pneumatic hose clamp pliers they work very well hope that’s helpful have a great day Harland

In that situation you may could take some wire cutters and cut it or take a screwdriver and put it up underneath it and bend it because it’s going to have to be replaced anyways I recommend the screwdriver be careful not to puncture the hose

On all of my shirts, it says” if anyone else can do it, you can do it to” I don’t know what I said in this video … I may have not included women to get women to comment. Then I know if they are watching my videos because I know in my very first video 1000 videos ago I used the phrase.” if any man can do it, you can do it to.” And I got a lot of comments from women…… so it’s possible that day I was wondering to myself if a woman would watch this video and attempted this…. By the time you need to remove those clamps they're almost fused to the hose making them almost not impossible to break the connector 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

🤔 I was just telling you the tool was available. Doesn’t make any difference to me or probably anyone else if you actually buy it except for the company that is selling them and I do not promote products on my channel unless I believe in them because I do not get paid by any sponsor to promote products the closest I come to promoting products is The place where I film my videos they do not pay me for promoting them but they do give me a place to work. you can use pliers but it wont reach everywhere these can. if dont want to buy a tool to do a job then auto is not the right field for you at all.

I must’ve honestly miss spoke look at my page you will see I’m telling the truth at the very top there’s a picture of my merchandise and it says “if anybody else can do it you can do it to” LOL good point!!

I know I am probably not a typical woman anyway, but I love getting my hands dirty, and i live the sense of accomplishment that comes from being able to do things myself (from fixing my vehicle, to hunting and feeding my family). I didn’t take it rude at all. But I highly recommend you start your own RU-vid channel. Because there’s not many people out there don’t see things the way that you and I see things. And people would love to see a female that tries all sorts of different things like replacing their alternator or doing plumbing etc. etc. I think that would be cool I am just like you.
