I have always liked Logitech and have lots of their products, exp. keyboards, mice cameras etc., so I felt a little betrayed when they abandoned me after I had supported them for so long. Thank you so much for making my Logitech cameras work with Logitech software for a little while longer anyway.
Purchased a c920e from Amazon with a ton of good reviews and high ratings. The packaging shows c920e on the box and labels. When I plug it into my computer its name is in Chinese followed by "c920c" and it wasn't being detected by Logitect Capture. Seems like they mixed up the model. After following your instructions in this video, it worked! I had to take a screenshot of the Chinese characters and use an image-to-text website to be able to copy the name and paste it in the exe file. Thank you.
Thanks a lot sir. For those who does not find LogiCapture file mentioned by the creator in the bin folder, please look for the file name LogiCapture.exe. You can edit that file and the software will work for your camera. TC

The config file didn't appear in windows explorer even when showing hidden files. The workaround I did was I opened the folder using cmd and the file appeared there. I opened it from the cmd line using notepad and it opened up perfectly. The rest of the instructions worked perfectly. I got lucky on this one. Thanks for assist! I wonder why I couldn't see it on windows explorer though? I'm on windows 10.

First of all, you are the coolest. Second of all, I think there is something else going wrong with my system, besides what you suggested. I followed the instruction perfectly, slowly, and carefully. When I opened up the Logi Capture program, there was a new option to choose from there, but when I select it, the screen is black. The trouble is that I reallyl need to feed my cam through that Logi Capture because I stream on more than one platform at a time, and it's imperative. It's beyond frustrating. Not sure what is causing the black screen. The camera works find if I stream with it directly. But Logi Capture is still not working correctly.
Hey , I’ve been having a problem I’m not sure if there’s a loophole around it but, I have windows 11 and Connor download the logi software to control my webcam features like I used to in the past can I use any other software to access those controls
I got the same problem and it is because the file extensions. The new file is saved in the desktop with txt extension. Just click view on explorer, click file name extensions and remove txt. Rename your old config file adding old to the name. John did a great job with this video. I hope you can get this issue sorted out. Forr me worked beautifully.
Unfortunately, that didn't work for my C505 HD Webcam. My OS recognizes it as a USB Video Device only, showing no video at all. I tried these steps, but the app crashes. Looks like my webcam is dead for good, since it doesn't work with any computer anymore...
i did this and when i open logicapture it give a prompt of "RUNDLL There was a problem starting C:\Program\Files\Logitech\LogiCapture\bin\,,\VHMediaCOM.dll This specified module could not be found" and then logicapture "opens" to a blank purple box, but instead of it being logicapture it says on the app "XSpilt Broadcaster #1"...idk what i did wrong XD
It's saying that there's a problem with that file located in the lodgy capture software folder if you still have the software you might want to try to uninstall the software reboot reinstall the software and go back to the procedure one more time and see what happens, hope that helps Happy New Year
@@JohnDaniels Hey not sure if you're active on here still but I am having this same issue. I rebooted and reinstalled and all I am seeing is the purple square and the app isn't opening. Do you have another solution to this? Thanks!
@@liveehollis9569 I got a newer camera and newer software so I don't even have the camera to test with anymore. But the error message about this specified module could not be found means it may be missing you can go to that directory and see if that .dll file is there that it's looking for maybe something wrong with the path, you could try reinstalling the software with the changes that you've made and see if that helps. Sorry I wish I could be more of more help 😭. The only other thing I could think of is double check all the steps and make sure they're right. You could always try uninstalling the software and then reinstall software and do all the steps again.
Dang too bad. I didn't see the config extension in mine. Just logicapture. exe and logicapture.exe. manifest. Actually what is my problem? In the last few days I get no audio output when I play the recorded video off the webcam. So I have no idea if the C615 Logitech webcam is shot or whatever. I have no idea. When I look at the setting and drivers, it says the device works properly, no issues.
@@slimshadyt9100 mine's still working and a lot of others are still working. May want to check down through the comments and see if anybody else had had the same issue as you and maybe how they fixed it
