This is my fifth year after retirement. I’e been following the 4% rule thing I saw on a youTube channel, but this isn’t really how hard I expected things to be. After I cashed out a lump sum, I still have about $760k left, but at this rate, and with how the market is (we were putting money away in an index fund), I’m starting to get really worried.
It’s amazing you were able to save that much during your active years. Not a lot of people are able to save that much in a lifetime. Yeah, I’m also closing in on retirement, and I have benefitted much from using a financial advisor. I didn’t really start early, so I knew the compound interest of index fund investing would not work for me. Funny how I pulled in more profit than some of my peers who have been investing for many years.

Yea, I’m a small RU-vidr too a very small one with only 90 subs and I’m kind of stuck on editing my videos too long and that’s what keeps me from being consistent is because I take time with my edits
I have 2 questions to ask you 1- how does that $100 threshold move? My threshold shows $0.00. I have 2.5 million views + 26k subscribers. I received my pin code for Adsense, entered the code, checked my phone number and address but I still get $0.00 for all boxes. I just don't understand what else I have to do for the $100.00 threshold to start moving. It's been one week now since I entered the pin code. 2- I don't have a website. Do I have to have a website and enter their code on every page in order for adsense to pay me? I don't understand this and I can't find the correct answer anywhere. Please help me with this. Hey. Don't look in AdSense to see earnings. It doesn't show there. Just look in RU-vid Creator Studio to see your earnings. You don't need a website to setup AdSense to pay you for your RU-vid views. If it asks you to enter a URL, just put your RU-vid channel page in

Such valuable information. Thank you. I am currently renting tables, chairs, tents, linen, props, setting up dessert tables for all occasions, and more to afford a venue next year. I have been documenting it on my RU-vid channel. It's hard work, but I know it will pay off in the end.

Hi Greg, you should do a video on ads... do you get paid if someone skips the ad versus if someone watches the ad, is there a price difference if the ad is 30 seconds versus those annoying ads that are 4 minutes, and the 10 second ads you can’t skip on... I always wonder why some people will put one ad at the end of their video to say 10 ads in a video. Love your channel, very informative, all the best :)
i think it's bc of this....people who want to make money with adds, asks a person, like greg, if he will consider putting his adds in. Greg says yes, and the person pays him every month for him to put his adds in. How much money, depends on both of them. But I don't think it's under 100 $.
Consistency really is the main thing you have to do if you wanna make it. Make sure your uploading at least 2 times a week when you start, it helps wonders!
Quality video ! Think you could also explain how to understand how the CPM varies from a country to another ? Cause the link in your description just explains the threshold and not everyone has a good understanding of the CPM rate.

I been out here grinding my damn butt off I got as many subs as this video has in comments and I hope we both just keep growing . For everyone out there reading this don’t give up . I didn't understand one part. How do I reach the $100 threshold? I can see my revenue still going up and down but the threshold still remains the same which is way less.

Hmm just had a look, few quick pointers: 1) change your thumbnail style. There's a lot going on with them at the moment and it's hard to know where to look (they're abit cluttered). Simplify them a bit more so the viewer is overwhelmed and put off 2) music is quite loud on your videos. Reduce the volume so you can hear you talk easier 3) take out "HENRYS VIDEO GAME REVIEWS" from the start of the title of earch video and put it to the end. People can't see what the video is about without having to read that first, and most people won't bother reading past that first bit Good luck!

So basically to sum up the video 1. Need to have AT LEAST 1,000 subscribers 2. Need to have at least 4,000 hours of watch time on your channel 3. Once the first two steps are done, you need to have your channel looked at by RU-vid over a period of a month, and than enter your payment information so you can start making money. 4. After being verified by RU-vid from an email and have entered your payment information, You need to make at least $100 made from your content before a certain time of the month. 5. Once all of these are done you will get paid every 21st to 26th of the month

My question is why haven’t I received payment from RU-vid or given the option to input my payment information when I reach the partnership threshold? RU-vid Studio shows me an estimated revenue, however; when I go to Google Adsense it says $0.00. My second question is Google Adsense different from RU-vid revenue and how can I obtain my funds from my estimated revenue in Studio?

Please help me I just got monetised a few days ago, it says I need to reach my monthly threshold n order to choose how to get paid, on my analytics it’s says I have reached $80 which is enough because the threshold is only $60 however it says I have met 0% of my threshold on the Adsense website. How do I check the updated version of my threshold percentage? I’ve heard that the Adsense web does not update you on these things anymore so I don’t know where to check to know if I have met my threshold or not. Help is appreciated❤️
So u need 4000 hours watch time in the space of 12 months. Does that 4000 hours watch time in 12 months target start once you've hit 1000 subscribers or does it start once you've first created your channel?
