Just be careful to not practice too much, if your aim gets too good your Rust account might get banned! I suggest to avoid headshots if you don't want to be flagged by the anti-cheat. Just aim for the nuts or the butt, it's almost as good and you won't get banned! 😙👍

well thats back in the day. Bloom is a thing now (aimcone is the more common name). Recoil is 30% luck now

Yes, that's an important point, I forgot to mention that in the video.

Yeah pretty sure you can add decimals. Try typing ‘sensitivity’ into the console to get the right command. I think it’s input.sensitivity or something similar

Better yet, train recoil with 8x scope

@@stelicRUST 8x scope training for spray is also great for beginners too as it really forces you to immediately pull down to get those first couple shots

With lower recoil guns like SAR, or SMGs you can use 8x and standing at the same time, I did it with SAR for a bit and now even standing recoil feels like nothing.

This is windows 10/11. It isn't very hard to find dpi settings lol

noticeable difference in recoil when walking vs standing still, using the ak. should i be trying to maintain movement to keep the same amount of recoil to fight against? i feel like im varying it and its making it extra hard to learn the pattern that way. should i even practice recoil standing still? feel like if im standing still i might as well be crouching too then no? edit: also, any tips on straffing? keep it tight and fast or vary it a bunch or what do u think?

@@Draigon18 its good to learn both standing and crouching sprays if you have the mousepad space and a DPI changing mouse. If you practice both for 5-10 minutes in the targets you can get the feel of it after a few days. CoconutB was demonstrating this on stream one day. He did a very long like 2 hour UKN warmup and was showing how many more kills he gets when he does standing sprays because he can get shot less and shoot more often because you are already standing when you re-spawn, whereas crouching takes a second and limits your visibility if youre on a balcony or behind a box. Its a big difference. Of course its harder to do standing spray, but you can strafe left and right faster which can save your life. Strafing is good to mix up, so a couple of small ones, one big one, one small one, two big ones, whatever works. Im no master, but I just try to adapt to the player, some players have different method to shoot so you can try to notice how they shoot fast and react :) Good luck man!

@@DrummerJacob ya ive played to many shooters to not strafe. had someone tell me they had 5k hours in rust and they have never straffed.. i cant imagine how thats any fun lol. is there no difference in recoil while straffing vs standing still?? seen on a loading screen that movement affects ur accuracy and i kinda feel like i can notice the difference but not 100% sure. is it not kinda silly to practice recoil control while standing still if ur always going to be straffing anyway? or is the standing still practice just a practice of basic recoil control. feel like once i start straffing, almost all that standing still recoil control practice becomes close to useless. just seems like if im gonna be not moving practicing recoil control it might as well be crouched, if movement does increase the recoil.

@@Draigon18 i think recoil is same but aimcone changes. its pretty detailed stuff that i havent completely learned all about but i did notice just in this last months update that they made the aimcone change different as you go from crouch to standing/strafing. it used to just snap on after the first shot, now it will blend in within the first few shots. i always practice on targets or on the moving ai both standing, crouching and moving/strafing. i usually start at the 25m, get my crouch spray down, then get my standing spray down, then do some wiggling and jiggling, then move up and up till i get to the top. then goto the moving targets in the same target area on ukn and do all those variations there too, then back out to the lobby and try the moving AI ones, and try taking down the minicopters and stuff, thats really good practice. and yeah if you can sneak off shots, always crouch to get better aim. its just that in some cases its beneficial to be able to strafe spray, like when raid defending or in close urban combat

I have over 5000 hours in Rust and I almost never shoot when I'm standing, during pvp I quickly press ctrl to sit down and stand up, that way recoil is easier to control and harder to hit you.

@@stelicRUST No im horrible at the game and it finally explains why😂 I tried to calculate my dpi and failed but i can do a 360 degree spin in less than an inch. the way i hold my mouse is mad. I hang the very edge of it off the mouse pad and plant my wrist on the table so it’s extremely sturdy. I have trouble looking down sometimes because i cant pull my mouse down anymore, because its coming off the table. I developed this strat playing scout for years on team fortress 2.

No recoil Hardware are using a Lot of ppl. I got 7k HRS Andi played a Lot solo, small grp and zerk and i can say mostly zerks having 1or 2ppl using Hardware or ESP

Yeah, that's true. But for gaming I also prefer motion blur instead of FXAA anti-aliasing, on my monitor anti-aliasing just kills the image.
