Sooo why is it ( and you are not the only one I ask this) that EVERY video made about how to get plat as a new player early on is ALWAYS done with end game builds?
Can we just salute this man? Restarted twice? I firmly believe that Warframe is the type of game that you need someone to teach to you, there's a very small chance you figure everything out on your own and given such people give up after a few weeks. But to restart twice? And make a RU-vid channel off it?! This man is a legend.
@@unrealfortclips I don't think it's hard If you hunt for the relics for the most new prime warframe "baruuk rn" just collect those and if you just get one bp or Neuroptics you will get lots of plat And even if you get plat junk alot of people will want to buy prime junk
@@unrealfortclips I just got like three common baruuk Prime systems Which are only 15 ducats btw Every one of them sold for 15 plat Now I have 90 plat cuz I did already have some off the blueprint Now am not gonna deny old relics or current relics in the extreme future is of course a fortune but even then you can still make plat :D
Thanks! I saw this a while ago thinking "oh, well, I don't need more weapon slots". I take that back. I'm starting to realize the warframe solar system doesn't revolve around the sun, but rather, platinum.
It's hilarious right? They banned pokemon cards at my school because kids started trading them for cash in the 90s. They should have taken that stuff into the classroom and showed us how to determine real marketplace value.
As helpful as this is I'm probably just going to work toward building stuff from blueprints because I'm scared people will think I'm dumb because I don't know exactly how the open market works

if you learn the locations for the hidden caches in the infested hive gamemode it can drop shell shock and high voltage which go for a good bit of plat

I love how every little thing in the game can be earned for free with some grind never spent a cent been playin since it came out and prime frames weapons and accessories without spending a cent

I kind of wish there was a way to educate people attempting to trade on the general prices for stuff. Yesterday I had a guy wanting to buy 6 pieces of my low level prime junk for 300p
For those who don't NEED platinum, I would recommend just playing the game and so stuff that you have fun with. Almost everything in Warframe rewards you with tradeble items that you can sell off. Some things are more efficient in terms of plat than others. But as a veteran I can only suggest you do things you have fun with. I think it's more important you have fun, than gaining that little bit more plat. I'd rather do something for 2 hours that's nice than doing something else for 1.5 hours that's boring. Warframe is such a nice game in terms of gameplay and the feeling you get ad a "god". Just enjoy that. The plat comes by itself
I had just started playing Warframe last night,and I'm already wondering how I'm supposed to get platinum without spending money,this is really helpful Okay so far I had completed the Vor's prize quest and was able to get a hefty amount of credits including some mods for my Warframe Excalibur Although I still haven't figured out how to get any platinum except purchasing it from Eshop

IF YOU GET A COACTION DRIFT AND MAX IT, DO NOT TRY TO SELL IT FOR 25 PLAT. Coaction drift is a mod that varies a lot for usefulness. People sell it for up from 20 plat, but nobody will ever buy it. Sell it for 10 instead.
@@snakevenom4954 Certain mods are worth making r5 as you could just buy a 4/4 ayatan sculpture with the extra depending on the mod it might get you more endo

This is a good video and as a long time player I agree with all the points OP made. plat farming is about knowledge of supply/demand some items sells like hotcakes [arcane energize] while others takes patience to sell. You'd be surprised of some of the items that are highly demanded that are still easily farmable like 60/60 elemental mods from spy missions. My advise is just ask questions, seek help.. just don't beg tho. Or ask for free stuff.. unless it's ignis wraith BP. Oh yeah also don't be a fucking asshole.
For any free to play game, I spend upwards of $60 depending on how much I've spent playing and how much I value the game. Used to not value Warframe, but now I'm hooked
I......just ended an intense grind over the weekend. I farmed EIGHT primed flows in two days when baro ki'teer arrived on console WF. I think i have a warframe obsession lol
I sold my old, dusty unrolled Zarr riven with semi Groll stats(+DMG and +MS -dmg to infested) for 3k plat. The guy was offering like ~4k plat, I just said 3k is fine.😂
it's strange that these count as new player options. I only have one of them available as of yet (the farming prime blueprints one) and I've been playing for (checks steam) 70h already. No offense intended, I did appreciate the video and found out some useful stuff. Side note: I find this game convoluted, but fun to play. The disparity between new and "veteran" player seems immense. Friendly generous players, in my experience.
I remember once this guy gave me some platinum because I was new, didn't realize on how lucky and hard platinum is to get for me now. Thinking of trading now since I just have alot of stuff I don't want
I play on Switch and I only buy primes and mods if the price is aligned with the PC prices. Don’t be afraid to offer reasonable prices to overpriced items.
FYI; that door is a Orokin Vault, and the planet Deimos stems from the original Orokin Derelict. Keep in mind, platinum is not required; slots are useful, yes, but they aren't required as you can grind frames you want and not bother buying more. But none of this is in fact free, you will spend time grinding, as the aforementioned vaults drop "Corrupted Mods", which again stems from the older Orokin Derelict. There are 4 keys that are used to open them, and they will cost 10 void traces as well a couple other resources to craft.

playing on xbox, everytime I see warframe market it is so barren and empty compared to the PC market which has something new being sold every other second, Im looking forward to crossplay so much just so that I can start earning some platinum
Veiled prices are set and you can sell those for quick platinum, Shotgun 50p < Rifle/Melee 30p < Pistol 20p. You can unveil them too but that's more of a gamble, get a popular weapon riven and you profit more or you get rivens no one uses.
Selling augment mods would do some good aswell, not as much as other things but pretty decent; say bout 30+ plat depending on your standing. Especially when new primes drop its a good time to sell those augments.
Not a noob to premium currency but I can vouch to open or rather 'free market' concepts. I still do it when I play maplestory even when it got butchered to hell by hackers and absurd emergency server shut downs (was rolled back 5 times, the fourth and fifth were my worst experiences) but I love the game from the nostalgia I get from when I first played. Namely saying out of experience I do get shunned for 'cutting' prices so hard but its because out of people who are stuck being f2p I rather be that sumeritan who can give leverage to both the likes of p2p and f2p players. My recent was in ffxiv for making 40k gil with just 8 listings and all I did was shave 1-4 gil off respectively to the rarity. In warframe I needed one octavia prime part and my rolls were awful that I gave someone 60 plat just for the one part but they gave me the more common part I gotten already and ever since it makes me joyful being that kind of player. Unironically had one person try to bribe me to farm plastids because I was averaging around 100 to 320 plastids that are just abyssmal to farm for like 10 plat and I down right threatened them with a report.
"Open market" more like "it's your fault for not researching the price, not mine for asking for too much", I've already seen this in different mmos but haven't heard the term "open market". Not big enough to have a set price on things so sellers can pretty much ask for however much they want
I remember the days of selling vault mods for plat hahaha. Now that I have extra primes and rivens they're my main source, but I made LOADS of plat early on with mods - vaults, legendaries, set mods, Lua mods, spy mods (I ran a lot of spy missions), anything I had extra of. And I am a console player and do use market, but i kind of agree. It's sort of good to go on as a base but it's not ever 100% accurate to the actual going price. I go by the average when I don't know but trade chat is usually a better way to gauge an item's current worth. Anyway pretty good guide, nice to know I'm doing it mostly right (if not lazily) 👌🏻👌🏻

You should also tell everyone that not everything you sell is gonna be bought, also the only thing that sells is gonna be high end relics and stuff like that, so if you're a new player, then you're gonna have a hard time.

Don’t actually ignore wfmarket just bc you are on console. It may not be the most up to date, but it is still a great tool for planning your sales and your spending. If you flip plat wf is extremely strong. My thought: post your sales on wfmarket at market price, but ask 20% higher in trade chat. It’s a great start for people looking to flip for plat
Yeah.... Alot of scams. Especially the prime junk buyers. That bronze reward part you just sold for 1 plat is selling for 5 plat or more. Sets are good and all but part buyers are there too. It's the gold reward parts from relics you're after. Those are a hard drop with DE's rigged relic system. Depending on demand they can sell from 20 to 40 or even more.

I would recommend selling for a little lower then you traditionaly see. You emotes in your selling messeges to stand out. You will make sales eventually :)

Remember some things do take time. If you feel the price is right. Start farming other stuff while keeping it on the market. Eventually you will sell everything
I once sold a prisma skana for 500p to a guy back when it first came out. Idk wtf I was on but it worked, i made at least 1.6k plat in a week. Scummed and sold a serrration unmodded for 10p. I felt what scarface felt when he slammed his face in that big ol pile of "sugar". Times changed and I've been far out the game. If I did it. You can too.
For 150$ to get 3.2k plat is not bad if you distribute said plat in a few months which then if you feel like it, buy more. I do dabble in this idea, but life comes first. I had to get tires for my car.
So platinum is the type of currency where people use it in trading so you buy platinum with in game stuff but no matter what real life money has to be spent to get it into the market?
I don't know how warframe works... and it's nice that you can get a premium currency without buying it but... I dunno, I don't think I could pull this off.

Everything is beautiful, the problem is one, someone must have Platinum to buy something from you for Platinum. Most people are looking for naive people who buy Platinum for bucks, but there are fewer and fewer of these buyers, which results in prices rising at an alarming rate. The problem with Platinum is that unfortunately we need it and there is no way around it, but you have to remember that someone has to buy Platinum so that we can get it later when we sell something. Less and less naive people and more and more sellers.
