I've seen plenty videos where they actually do what it is you're describing - but crucially, they don't explain WHY they're doing it. So thank you for taking the time to explain this really important technique!
This shows why Peter is the CEO. Amazing way to explain, very helpful tricks. Thank you for taking out time to help a lot of people like me who are new in casting field.
I used my ladies "personal orbital sander" to get the necessary vibrations and it's much cheaper than anything I would've purchased at the hardware store.
I've actually never seen a resin piece in photos online without a single air bubble, there's always a couple here or there in those translucent pieces even in the most clearest ones. Most people don't seem to care, but it's one of the main reasons why I can never use resin, I'm too much of a perfectionist, I'd only use it to make faux ocean water with little fish. I am using silicone though and I'm learning how to avoid bubbles, some people say to put in the fridge for an hour but that seems like the opposite effect.
Has anyone tried to warmp up the silicone before mxing it with hardener? Cuz the one i use it tends to gets hard very fast so it doesnt come down like that
if this was that easy then everyone would be doing it. So it probably doesn't work as great as he says it does. Or it's only for very specific circumstances
