What I used to do (with all the colours that I have had in my hair, basically all of them lol) is to do the mixture with dye (opposite colour in the color wheel) and anti dandruff shampoo, leave it on for a couple of minutes and washing with warm water and then doing the conditioner with the same dye as you did, I managed to go back to white hair and to remove red, orange, blue, green, purple and pink with that method :) pd. you are reaaally pretty! I had almost the same colour you had at the end, it was lovely
Lovely Jackie since you have greenish blue hair u would want to use redish orange colored dye to cancel out the green-blue color. so first mix the orange/red hair dye with head and shoulders shampoo, leave it on for a few minutes, rinse, mix orange/red hair dye with conditioner and rinse and the color should be mostly cancelled out. Do this with the least possible green/blue hair dye left in ur hair. So i reccommend washing ur hair a lot with shampoos and conditioners not meant for colored hair before doing this
Omg😭 I wanna thank you a million times because this video and some of your others with color theory just saved a Hair disaster!! I was told I couldn’t get blue and that my base was all wrong but I followed some of your steps and was able to transition from either green or pink to finally blue or purple. 🙏🥰❣️ you’re so amazing and artistic, ty for showing this bc out of many many videos and articles, this really saved me! oh thank god lmao, i tried to get my green out with a bleach bath and it literally didnt move at all, i already have pink dye sitting in a cupboard, it looks so prettyyy

Actually your aftermath looks rad! You look fantastic in those colors. The green not so much. Those colors really bring out your skin tone and I feel like the green washed you out and made your face look extremely pale. Those colors gave your face a more gentle flushed color which is very lovely.

You are an absolute genius!! I've got green hair and now I want it blonde. I have only seen people using vitamin c tablets and shampoo.. Also bleach baths. And their hair still looks green and it damages their hair. I never thought to use pink hair dye mixed with conditioner before!! 😱 But now I can't wait to try it. I wanted to tell you that the colour your hair turned after you used the pink looked absolutely stunning on you and I think it suited you more than the green.

Smart girl - adding color (instead of removing color) better mimics virgin hair (full of color) by filling in the "hollow" bleached hair. So long as you want the same lightness, there is no reason to involve bleach or color removers - just add color.
I'm seeing this 2 years later but I want to say that you really gave me hope lol my hair was initially blue and then faded to green, so I'm actually dying to get it off and it kinda looks stained (and I freaked out about it), so now I'm gonna try the pink color. thank you so much, you look amazing!
Cool! Surefire way to get rid of one color, use a die on the opposite end of the color wheel. I was in a similar situation with Manic Panic Voodoo Blue. I had a partial purple and green look, because my hair was unbleached Brown. Pink and blue came out as purple and green. Purple washed out green remained. Two months 3 months roll around and my hair is still part green, I do a bleach bath, dandruff shampoo letting it sit for 2 hours scrubbing, but it won't come out. I just end up dying it over completely red and that'a how i got rid of it!
Ok im definitely going to try this! I have a green money piece and i tried to bleach it out and it was a nasty horrendous green and i cried lmaoo i hope this works out because i want a purple money piece now
I work in a hairdressers haha yeah so if you was to have really light green hair then it would be recommended to use a red pigment on your hair eg a semi perm or a copper toner. Which is where the idea of ketchup started, but just be careful if you have results like this because blue is even harder to get out!
wow okay so I bought this exact hair dye, flamingo pink from La Roche Directions a long time ago and it’s been waiting for its turn, but before I had dyed my hair blue (and the undertone that really stuck with me is that ugly rotten green) and I was looking for a way to make it look normal before dying it pink, and I can’t believe that’s exactly what you recommend to do! wow I’m doing it in a couple of days and I’ll post the results. Here I thought I'd be stuck with green hair forever. Though I'm scared it will just be my luck and go pink if I tried it. But yours came out so lovely.

If pink on green would turn out violet anyways I'd say you'll go blue. But you could dye blue over green without ending up with too much of a green hue?! I'm so confused! D: You should make an update to this video before dyeing your hair, though, to show if it washed out the way you wanted!

because you had teal hair, you might’ve wanted to have used a warm reddish orange shade, although you had the right idea! since you used pink which is practically a cool red, it turned the greenish blue purple. red would’ve worked better to make a natural colour, however that being said, maybe you weren’t going for that anyway so it really depends what you’re going for! but for a natural shade i would use red orange or orange red. green is opposite to red and blue is opposite to orange!
When I first dyed my hair gray last year it turned green and I did this same thing to get rid of it. It turned out somewhat pink but I eventually got it the way I wanted. That unicorn barf color is gorgeous lol
I think that color actually looks good on you, but like I'm confused. You didnt neutralize the color by dying over it with pink.... if you want to neutralize blue/green color you'd have to use a red/orange dye. You dying over it with pink is just going to make it purple the way it did. I thought maybe you were going to let that color fade after a few days and then show how it looks after that color faded, so I was surprised when the video ended. Also, are you saying it looks "lighter"?? Dying over another color doesnt lift it to a higher (lighter) level of color. But your hair does look cool at the end, it goes a lot better with your skin tone than the blue did :)

I loved having green hair at the time but I'm highly regretting it now. I tried using color removal and that didn't do shit and I should have realized how much green stains. I could put red dye over it to cancel it out with the shade I have but I'm half tempted to just put a dark color over it cause I'm terribly impatient

I wish these fun, easy ways to dye hair had been around when I was your age...and actually had hair! :-D Though the great thing about wearing Tichels is that I can now change my "hair" color (and patterns!) anytime I want...which is also fun. Your hair turned out quite beautifully as it is, so no awkward transition period until you unveil your new color. Can't wait to see what it will be.

had blue hair which quickly faded to teal/green which is my least favorite color sooo i tried this mixture (baking soda, developer, shampoo, dish soap) only faded it and lightened my roots… soo i have purple hair dye, do you think it will work similar to pink??

Grim Alex yes it did. I want to post my pic but it seems I can’t do it here? Haha. I just colored it pink last night. And it was gorgeous. At first application, my greens started to color greyish. And the blondes applied with pink became rose gold. On my second application last night, all of it finally turned to fuchsia pink.
