How to get Square/Circle/Cross Deadzones on Steam (July 2023) 

Right click Rocket league --> Proprieties --> Controller --> Enable Steam Input

@@v1itr There is not solution, this is how steam intended it to be . As long as you are using steam input it will always show up as an xbox controller. If you want square deadzone but want ps4 controller symbols you have to either switch to epic or disable steam input and use ds4 windows instead of steams controller input.

when you enable steam input it reconfigures your ds4 controller to an xbox controller layout. Disable steam input and ps4 controller support and that goes away.@@v1itr

generally people use circle, but some freestylers like square for the ability to flip-cancel more smoothly
