Great to see this guys! I know it's a rabbit hole, but when u start with modular you have begun the journey. It's like smokers, you either stop straight away; "Nah, not for me this" or you just don't stop! :) I started with a Moog Grandmother & MatrixBrute but soon realised true escapism ( Modular Synthesis ). pls get Ben to study the new 2500 range, it's all I care about at the 'mo. Look forward to you demoing there bundle like this SYS 55. Keep 'em coming Jack, love ur 'Wow' reactions to what we & Ben consider the norm :)
Thanks' for posting,as I have some of the 'Behringer #55-modules'.I noticed Behringer has come out with a (midi- to-C.V.,converter-module),that has the (voltages' and switch-trigger) built in,for the #55 modules'! : )

How to get Started with Modular Synths AKA we have some Behringer clones to sell you. The 2x140 HP rack really is good value, but still I like the TipTop Mantis more (even at higher price and less space/HP) for the kickstand plus ability to stack them.
I have the Behringer Go case. I love it, although I wish it would come with M3 threaded rails instead of those loose nuts/thingies but anyway it works fine. I drilled a few holes in the back and mounted the powerbrick with zip-ties to the back. The mains cable on it is very long (and detachable) which is great but the 13V output cable is quite short so if you move the case you always have that brick hanging from it. That's why mounting it to the case is a good idea. The powersupply is really good too and can deliver 3 x 1,5 Amps. The powerbus system is divided in 3 sections so you can divide the modules over those so no one powerbus has to deliver too much current and overheats. Overall a very good case and the cheapest option for the space it offers apart from building your own case. 2 x 140hp with a max depth of 6,5 cm for €255,-
And the great thing about this ^bundle^ is that you'll need to spend at least the same amount again in order to do anything useful/interesting with it.... But if you're not interested in this bundle, perhaps I might interest you in my syringe, spoon, burner and foil bundle?
I must add, Ben's demos are not that exciting generally. The format for these episodes should be that Ben takes the gear away for 3 days, locked down with a case of Single malt & 4oz of Jamaica's finest with creative mindset of Iggy Pop/Lou reed/Sonic Youth - then comeback and blow Jack's mind. Simples :)
