If you guys wanna feel the weight of a falling star when you swing it, try to kill the crucible night boss in cailed fort. Before the festival begins, you'll get the ruins greatsword, very powerful.

@@AmethystReaver that one himself doesn't give you the tail spell, but that spell IS a stagger monster, it's best used on mobs and slow bosses, but it does hit relatively hard. Leveling faith just to use it is something I do not recommend, make your stick hit harder first.

If you need another boost to your equipment load, you can take two of those imp keys and go to the starting area. The very first imp door on the right from where you start will eventually lead you to a talisman that will raise your equipment load your stamina and maybe something else (when the Giant Chariot of death follows you down and crosses a very narrow bridge walk to the edge and look down and there's a secret pledge down there that you need to jump down to). It's a great early game talisman and probably useful all the way through to the end game if you're borderline on a couple of important stats.

U should mention the two grafted scions that will leap on u from above once u reach the talisman XD i recommend shooting one with an arrow to attract one of them before the other and fight each 1v1

A side note: Even if you can double hand a colossal weapon to use it, it will still do the less damage than it was intended. I had zweihander (dual hand) one shooting enemies and when I dual handed Guts greatsword, it was doing the half the damage of zweihander (2H). Strength was 20 and weapons weren't upgraded. It is after reaching strength 25 and upgrading Guts to +3 it started hitting harder than zweihander (2H).

That's because you weren't(still aren't at 25) meeting the requirements even though you were 2H. 2H adds 50%. You need to be at 27 minimum to use effectively while 2H.

This is the only thing good about this weapon. U can cheese many enemies with this one attack by repeatedly crouching and attacking the stun from it is enough to spam. It’s great even in pvp too catches a lot of ppl.

It's really good for the first half of the game but it falls off pretty quickly. I actually prefer the greatsword over this since it's slightly faster and longer. Plus now it looks exactly like guts sword now lol

The weaponskill is what makes it borderline broken. It's not a regular poise buff, it's a *poise multiplier*, and it's dirt cheap. While the buff is up, you essentially get hyperarmor even when you're not swinging, you quite simply cannot be stopped, stunned, or otherwise deterred unless your hp hits zero. What's a UGS user's greatest fear? R1 spam and fast enemies like rats and dogs that stunlock you into a corner. The Grafted Blade Greatsword exists to shit on that. Watch it pop the Oath of Vengence, and use charged R2 to win trades with Trolls, Golems, Dragons and Giant Bears. They will topple before you do.

I got a +15 Guts sword and a +6 Grafted Greatsword. The Grafted Greatsword still out damages it by quite a bit. It's R1 attack is way faster and I prefer the overhead smash with the R2. I keep upgrading the GUTS sword waiting for it to surpass the Grafted Greatsword. 1 or 2 more level ups.

Any weapon can be the strongest. You just need a build, the proper whetstone (if it doesn't use Somber stones) and the right weapon art. I can guarantee you a Soul's vet could make a base dagger seem like these weapons are just for noob's who don't know what they're talking about. ANY weapon can be the best weapon in this game...They have quite literally designed it that way.

This is the best Colossal sword for pure strenght builds, if you're playing vagabond you will only need to level up your Dex once. There are other very good Colossal swords but they require other stats such as Faith or Intelligence

If you have at least 23 endurance you can run this as medium load. I rock a tower shield and this sword its so beastly. I also use a 1handed long sword plus 5 as a quick way to fight

After looking at the weapons in the wiki i noticed that there are about 5 total weapons that are for pure strength(base strenth scaling of c) which is very disappointing. It seems like they are pushing for strength users to be strength sourcery combo which is very disappointing especially after getting the base strength class to lvl 67

If you want another cool halberd try to find a monument that has an elevator inside of it in a forest close to (idr which church) a church. All ima say is you'll find it there while traversing and killing because i dont want to spoil

the dragonslayer literally exists tho i created a second acc after 27 hours to play a guts build using the "Greatsword" and then pumping everything in endurance and maybe vigor soon. i literally clapped this boss in like 6 hits, and he fell to the ground every time

Yes. The Heavy Brick Hammer has B Strength scaling and if you put a good Sword Art on it you can reach S scaling with it.

@@richurro20 When I try to use a heavy ash of war on the Brick Hammer it doesn't change the scaling. Every other weapon, the heavy ash of war raises the scaling by 2 tiers, but not the brick hammer.

Broken item if more people wanted to really min max. They can just equip it in two hands. Use the R then take it off entirely. You still keep the buff for a minute.

small spoiler alert in mid of starter country area starter zone area next to big pool of water there is a cript that teleports u 2 another zone way higher lvl u get owned and are stuck there but u can sneak and run out and escape then you are in a zone with somber 3 i got some from owning some enemy giant ball was covering a corpse with some and im way out of my league for over there thats where people get the great sword

When 2 handing a greatsword your strength gets multiplied by 1.5x so for example if you have 34 base strength you get half of that as a bonus on 2H (34+17=51)

Im not sure what im doing wrong. I got the weapon and I got the stats to use it (40str, 14dex), but its only doing like half the damage of my vulgar militia saw, which has lower damage by a lot. Is it just because of the super slow attack speed? (First time playing a souls game)

u might wanna compare dmg from each strike then attack speed wont matter for comparason plus u gotta spam r1 move and u swing around like the cliric knight boss or whatever

@Rudy thank you for replying. Can I ask what makes you say that though? Is there a set and proven metric that would allow us to do something with two hands versus not at all? Because I’m more than halfway to 40 at 26 but have no clue besides vague estimates. In dark souls 3 I thought it was when you had half the amount of strength but that isn’t the case here

Get to like level 20 first and then upgrade your weapon to +2 at least and you should be good to go

This weapon isn't very good, essentially a lesser ranged Zweihander. The buff on it will not make the difference between death and victory, you're better off with more range from Zweihander or just more raw damage and better scaling from the club

if it's like dark souls 3, you'd eventually want 66 strength so 2 handing it makes it 99 to give you the best damage possible. but stopping at 40 strength because of diminishing returns and putting points in vigor and endurance until they also reach 30-40 is recommended.
