They have the hints, and there they put the links of the oficial documentation for you to search what you need. That's pretty cool because you'll need to do it someday in the future, so you don´t have to depend to other people knowledge to solve what you want
Hi! I have a question regarding certificate. I saw on edx that if you take two courses of computer science,for example: CS50 Introduction to Computer Science and CS50W Web Programming with Python and Javascript ,you are eligible for a program certificate. Is that then still worth paying?

@@techwithkiran9956we can use it... Company does not check the thing which says it is verified or not. The certificate does not have any writing like "This certificate is not verified".... and it has signature of David Malan.
How long after the submission of last assigment does it take to produce a certificate at the given link, I have completed a course and that link when clicked shows no certificate.

Just do the free one. It's not worth paying for a certificate for one course. If you decide to get a Bachelor's degree however, then it is required to verify.

Not sure if I can agree here. If you are going to use the certificate to apply for a job and your future boss is going to contact the School to validate your paper, they might not find your name on that list… also, they put a lot of afford into that course, you should at least pay some kind of respect and pay them something. No offense, but in my opinion we should support a thing, if we get something out of it
Over the years a lot of philantrophists have donated to Harvard so people like you and me can benefit. Today, Harvard's endowment stands at $49.444 billion. This is why they don't make us pay. We are giving Harvard the opportunity to deliver what they promised to donors. In terms of validating the certificate: This is only one CS course so most employers won't even bother at looking at your certificate. They will however be looking at you as the employee to make sure you're capable of fulfilling your job role. Cheers!

Hi, one question when the certificate from Harvard is ready to download, do they use the github username or is it possible to get our actual name on the certificate somehow, like choose ourselvee?
That's a really good question. It says we are eligible for a free certificate(which ask to just connect git hub, hence github username) and mention edX but for verified certificate. So which name goes into free certificate? Will it be able for users to place a full name or it takes github name? Because it maybe be better to place a full name into github username in advance.
