Great ear, man. Sounds right on and has the elusive “vibe” of his tone. Tony is one of the very few guitar heroes that was a groundbreaker but has become radically better with the years. Nothing short of amazing.
@@piratestudiosproductions Dude, you wear the Sabbath shirt, ya got the SG, but, unfortunately, you don't play the Paranoid opening riff correctly. Tony Iommi has said a few times that a lot of people get it wrong. He said that even he plays it wrong live sometimes from over-exhuberance. The last note of the riff is the 14th fret on the A string, NOT the 14th fret on the D string. It should be: e|-----------------------------|---------------------------| B|-----------------------------|---------------------------| G|-----------------------------|---------------------------| D|-----------------------------|--------12h14-------12------| A|--12h14.----12h14.----12h14.-----|--12h14-------12h14-----14---| E|--12.-------12.-------12.-------|---------------------------| * Version using a fixed width font, which displays correctly when using a font like Courier. e|-----------------------------|---------------------------| B|-----------------------------|---------------------------| G|-----------------------------|---------------------------| D|-----------------------------|--------12h14-------12-----| A|--12h14.----12h14.----12h14.-|--12h14-------12h14----14--| E|--12.-------12.-------12.----|---------------------------|
Thanks for trying to be helpful, I know how he plays it and I choose to play it the way I want to is all. This isn't a tutorial video on how to play sabbath songs. It's just showing off these awesome impulse responses. Thanks for watching man. 😎🤘
One thing is the various Iommi tones you nail to perfection, another is the free VST suite, a third is your obvious love for Sabbath´s music, a fourth is War Pigs, Into The Void, Paranoid, Children Of The Grave, Iron Man, N.I.B. and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, but most of all it´s the awesome name you´ve given your channel that made me sub on the spot Captain. Hoist the anchor you miserable scrawny looters, pillagers and scallywags,- let´s go find ourselves something shiny, aarrhh.....! Aye, Captain,- by the strength of our backs and by the sweat of our brows t´wards the sunset we sail, arrrhhh.....
Thats pretty accurate sounding.. i don't know why in my mind i think that Tony's tone was low-focused but it's actually pretty Treble-focused.. Maybe cuz of Geezer's tone
@@piratestudiosproductions Oh ya that's a pretty neat trick.. i often have my tone knob on my guitar at 0 except when playing cleans.. i think i may be the only person who likes 'muddy' 😅..
Tony actually used a fender strat for most of the first album. It still sounded heavy. He switched to the sg because his fender quit working if you listen closely you can hear the difference in the songs
That's cool man, but this has nothing to do with the kind of guitar or even the kind of pickup you have. That's the awesome thing about these Impulse respones is that they sound identical to the album tone with any guitar you use 😀
Good job dude.... Your channel came up because of some other Iommi stuff I was listening to....I like what you're doing....Keep it up brother.......You killed it on those tones. \../
finally someone who actually knows what sabbath sounds like XDDD. you have no idea how many channels i went to to see people half assing tonys tone and just throwing together a miscellaneous laney setup that was completely inaccurate to tonys actual rig, and they soudn super inaccurate. you acytually nailed the tone without even using an epiphone. sick man! also 9:03 sabbath bloody sabbath babyyyyy
CP speakers, what do you mean? Do you mean how do you put put your sound signal out from your computer for the stage? If so, you could go from your interface to the house and/or PA. That's what I do with my laptop for a live rig if I'm not using my real amp.
So using those programs you linked with any amp/guitar and it’ll sound like that for the most part? Obviously it’ll only be as good as I can play but the sound will be close?
I actually did this particular video the hard way compared to the way I do it now. The easiest way is to download OBS and you can send your DAW audio to it and it will record your screen and the audio from your computer, and then my camera is just a GoPro hero 7. Reaper is my DAW and it actually does audio and video. I did this video with reaper. Thanks for watching 😎🤘
Great job on tone matching the early stuff (dont care for their post 70s material)! However, you mentioned there are 3 free IRs for Ignite / Black Sabbath and I can only find th one for 'Time Machine' when I really want to emulate their old sound. Can you provide the URLs for these please? Thanks
There are some free packs jzir.gumroad.com/?query=free&_ga=2.180387937.754831541.1667863002-884599370.1667739697&_gl=1*5177je*_ga*ODg0NTk5MzcwLjE2Njc3Mzk2OTc.*_ga_6LJN6D94N6*MTY2Nzg2NTM0NS4zLjEuMTY2Nzg2NTU0My4wLjAuMA.. but the Black Sabbath ones are not free. I said in the beginning of the video. how about $10 a tone. Here are the old Black Sabbathtones jzir.gumroad.com/?query=black+sabbath&_ga=2.180387937.754831541.1667863002-884599370.1667739697&_gl=1*5177je*_ga*ODg0NTk5MzcwLjE2Njc3Mzk2OTc.*_ga_6LJN6D94N6*MTY2Nzg2NTM0NS4zLjEuMTY2Nzg2NTU0My4wLjAuMA.. $10 is a steal. Enjoy
@@piratestudiosproductions I'm not going to buy them all as £10 for a single IR is not cheap when Audio Assault are selling an entire VST amp with cabs included like the AHM 5050 for $5. Would SBS be the best all rounded you think?
It sucks tho how a lot of modern-day modeling amps focus way too much on low-end and mids when the best metal came from British amp sounds that focused mainly on highs and the top end
Thanks for the Subscription :D I definitely hope you enjoy the content, and I will definitely do other bands in the future, but if there are other bands you want the guitar sounds of. You could go to the linktree site and search for Judas Priest and any other bands. And if you join the JZIR group on Facebook you can ask Jason to make the IR your looking for if he doesn't have it already :D
@@piratestudiosproductions To show how to get the sound. Not showing that you know how to play Black Sabbath tunes. Show the equipment your using, setup & setting. Then showoff on how well to play BS tunes. Actually, the title "How to get the guitar tone of Black Sabbath", HOW TO not hear guitar tone of Black Sabbath in my ears not eyes. At beginning you say I can get these sounds for $10, but then you say the software is $60 and join something that cost me $19 a mouth. This is more of a software tutorial.
