Nice, I think currently its best BMS version for DIY, I wait for my first 16x cells to setup a bank. My inwerter is a SoyoSource GTN-1200LIM48 means have a CT clamp as limiter who do hybrid OnOffGrid, export only for auto-consumption, zero export to grid, max 900W output. For me perfect !

Hi, can you help explain the hardware you are using to make this happen? I have a jk bms with rs485 port, and I’m wondering if I need an adapter or something?

You have to have the JK Inverter BMS. It is different than the standard jk with rs485. rs485 only sends data to the screen.

I have one of the two JK BMSs attached to one bank. I will attach the other side of the bank with its JK BMS this weekend. I want to connect it all to a Xantrex 4548 with the SCP control panel. It uses Xanbus. Think you could help me get it all communicating?

Did you get both jk inverter BMS running in parallel with the 6000xp recognizing them?

Yes. Followed the guide from @OffGridGarageAustralia (thanks Andy). Super simple and worked first try.

I had the same issue with mine regarding the mis labeled ports in the manual. So frustrating! I set my BMS to the Pylontech protocol and I'm curious if the GoodWe is the better setting. As is sits now everything works fine except the Inverter doesn't display the detected Ah rating of the battery only the SOC. Does your inverter/dashboard show a battery capacity with it set to GoodWe protocol? Also, does it follow the absorb/float settings you have set on the JK BMS. Mine skips over the absorb phase and goes straight to float.

Many have the same problem where absorption to balance doesn’t work. Interested to see if it does on GoodWe setting.

LiFePo4 batteries don't need to absorb. If the communication is working the BMS will tell the inverter what it wants for voltage and current. I didn't use the plyontec setting long enough to see what worked and what didn't. I have the RCV set to 3.5 and don't recall seeing a float setting. It may have been there. I only changed a few settings and didn't go through them all.

Why on Earth would you buy a Chinese made 6000 XP, with its low surge capacity in the first place?
@TheAnthonyBrandi

it works great for me. anything i use that surges is a 240v load 6000w is plenty. and there split phase 120v too 3000w on each leg. not to mention that are stackable if you need more. they have a ats, 12kw of solar charger mppt, breakers, ac grid charger too. name another 1400 dollar solution thats better?
