Happy Friday and here is the video I have been planning for a while. Trying different finishing powders has been a great learning experience. I will be sharing my top brushes for finishing powder and make recommendations. I have some pictures on my IG if you are looking to see these brushes up close. Enjoy!

I love finishing powders and I have tried so many but the Meteorites are still my absolute faves! I love that you included the Houkodou, It's such a hidden gem and most of the Sora line are just such good brushes. I just wish they has a little longer handles. Another favourite finishing brush I reach for is the Chikuhodo FO-1, and more recently the larger powder brush from the Zen series - the fox bristles on both are just so luxurious. Kim x

I think I’ll try the meteorites next. So many people love it. Do you use the loose powder version?

@@brushjunkie6384 Not everyone likes Meteorites because of the violet scent. I actually have it in the pearls. It's so satisfying swishing your brush over them!

haha yeah it does. The Mk-SK has a more luxurious feel on the skin. I feel like their best artisans worked on them.

I’m on the waiting list for the Sonia G. I know there is a release of a shorter handled version and I’m on the fence. I have the Chikuhodo and Rephr but the SG is really different in shape. 😅

Of all these which would be # on the buy list. Also can you recommend a liquid foundation brush that buffs it into your skin? I have a huge list of to buys buy but want to start out with a good one!

Of course! That Koyudo yoshiki powder brush is great. I use a flat foundation brush first to lay it down then go in with the Koyudo. It leaves such a smooth polished look! The mizuho cmp510 is great for that too. The Sonia g classic base is another good one if you can find it in stock.

How would you compare in performance a brush with a mix of goat and blue squirrel bristles to a brush with snow fox bristles ?

Thats a good question. Maybe someone here can answer that because I don't buy fox hair. One difference I have heard is that fox hair can be used for more than just powders while goat and squirrel should only be used for powders.
