Love this video, I just put my feeder together and then couldn't work out how to fill it so to find out that you just take the top off was hilarious, thank you so much😊
Just arrived, fixed and hung up, filled with sunflower hearts it only took a couple of minutes for birds to start using. Now where’s that pesky squirrel 🐿️ 😊
I have taken the long screws out of the bottom of my feeder and it's come to bit. Great for cleaning, i got into every crevice. Now then, reassembling it..... 🤔 Is there a video or instructions on how to do this please?
Came here for that very reason. They are a nuisance huh? I mean we all love animals but they are just greedy. Anyway I suggested to the designer to add sensitivity adjustments for these mechanisms in the future. Don't know anyway way to adjust it as is and don't wana break it so I'm gona try his "leave it for one week" method see if that works. Hope you find a solution : ]
Starlings taking over our garden are soo bloody greedy there is nothing left for the poor small birds. These starlings don't care if it's suet, seeds or dried grubs, they eat anything. I Bought your product about 2 months ago and it works SUPERBLY against the bigger birds like pigeons, parakeets, Crows and especially magpies. But starlings are too light for the mechanism to detect them so they hoard the food. Is there a way to adjust the mechanism so that it's slightly more sensitive please? If not it might be worth looking into making future products with an easy to use dial or something for this reason. As is we shall try the leaving it for one week method. Ty
@@BirdBath1 Nah we solved the Starling problem. We had an existing small bird cage with 2 inch gaps and a narrow central feeder. We simply bought some wire mesh and cut a space big enough for the blue tits to get in. We tapped up the inside edges of that cut wire mesh so that the small birds dont get cut. We wrapped the mesh around the inside of the main cage. Worked like a charm as the Starlings can't get in and have given up now ; ]
My main problem are greedy squirrels that eats anything edible including Mealworms,Cheese, Siut blocks,Leaving almost nothing for local small birds!! There are many anti Squirrel proof feeders on the market to which I've reviewed, Most have flaws of one kind or other,But this model seems offer the best solution to my problem, There's plenty of similar feeders out there, But for me it's the price point and the material used in its construction that makes the difference!! Plastic over time in key areas are susceptible to attack from squirrels who have strong razor sharp teeth, I have seen with my own eyes the damage these animals can do!! I once bought a conventional feeder where the small mesh was made of stainless steel, On refilling and cleaning the feeder, Discovered a hole big enough for the squirrel to prise out the peanuts, 🇬🇧👍🤔
It will be suitable for some feeding stations. It won't stop squirrels as, having run/jumped up the central pole, can then hang down from top & munch away sunflower hearts (which squirrels love) at the two open ports. Squirrels can also use one of the two perches which then closes to reach around the short distrance to gain easy entry to the other open port! So no good if you have squirrels about. They are not in the least bit squirrel proof as incorrectly advertised!!. Many other users of this feeder say the same, so it's not just my garden squirrels! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
