Is it good to put 235/40 R18 8j ET 35 on VW Scirocco? Do u think there will be any problems, like touching bumpers or anything else? Will they poke out of arches or not?

I have a cAR the tyre is 185/70/r14 .THE (et) OF THE WHEEL 45. RIM WIDTH 6. and i want to change it to r17/45/215, RIM WIDTH 7 but i dont know how to know the (ET)of the new wheel . please i need your help

Great video! I am not a fan of the Scirocco but yours sits very clean with those wheels and the flush stance. Is it just me or the front lip looks wiggly as if it has been tampered with after slight bending?That has to be the cleanest garage I have ever seen btw :)
So If you your gonna go wider wheel. You take the diference in width and subtract off the orignal offset? Say my stock wheel is 16x6.5 +55. And i want a 7 inch wheel. Take the 1/2 inch difference off the +55 offset. And that will be the size i need to search for?
depands on where you want your wheel to be placed (more on the outer/inner side). I think it is easiest for you to play with the website (www.willtheyfit.com) and find out your preferable specs
Just punch in your old wheel specs, your new wheels specs, and adjust the offset of your new wheel to match what your difference is from the measurements you took for that hella flush look bruv.🤙
Good explanation, but be aware with the wheel aligned with the arch it is much more likely to have small rocks jumping to the body and windshield....because of aerodynamic effects... I know it because of my own experience, lots of scratches and marks in body and windshield

Aljaz Simenc That's not true the higher the offset the further the wheels sit inside the fender wheel high positive offset..... High Negative offset is what you'll need if you're going for a stretch poke look then the wheels will stick out outside the fender giving you at least a 2 inch tire lip or more for this set up I would recommend wider tires because narrow tires won't help you achieve that kind of set up but I'm going for that particular look like a Donk ride set up on Chrome rims I would love to do 24's on my Camry but a lift kit would be needed also one thing to keep in mind if you get bigger rims chances are they will rub on the toe and your speedotech will be off giving you the incorrect reading
in his case, the et40 wheel will poke ot more, because it is 7,5J wide, compared to et38 wheel which is only 7J wide. for tire fitment, go on www.willtheyfit.com and find out how stretched the selected tire will be on a specific rim, and how much wil the speedotech be off
