So how do we copy the source file so we can add them to another machine' browser. I see the Folders and a few files; so we copy those Folder and single files over to the Old machine, then how do we add them to the other Browser on the other machine? I just copy the Folder with Version # Name which encompasses all files and sub-folder to the Other Machine, then Over to the other Chromium Browser in the Other Machine, go to Extensions, put in Developer Mode, then Click Unpacked Version, select those Version # Folders that you have just transferred over to this old machine. After that it installs itself. Looks like it worked!
@@techl Okay. Thank you for clarification. I thought that you were doing it while recording the screen. I need to do this in my school project. How can I learn this?
@@MS-mz3bd You're welcome! If you want to do it while recording the screen, there's another way to do that. You can try a free tool. It's called ZoomIt - and it's from Microsoft. I explained it more in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1mdhaJkMwLk.html&ab_channel=TechLibraryTV
@@techlThank you I will check out your video. But I think you misunderstood my statement above. I meant how can I learn to do it while editing like you did?
This technique is just to view the code. Running the code from another extension might not work. Most probably, there will be script sources to external resources and dependencies that might throw you errors if run locally.
You'll need to see and connect to the required dependencies and script sources and make the code complete, then test on your local machine. You can then run/test using your localhost within any code editor (VS Code, for e.g.). But it then also depends on the complexity of the extension you are trying to emulate locally. If it is a simple one without much code, then it should be easier comparatively.@@rajathmogaveer9823
