I Love this video. This is a very valuable lesson for I have found this exact issue to be quite detrimental to the progression of many companies, and to even more people's lives. I love that the statement of "No, that's already been tried" is being taught as part of the habit of comfortable inaction that needs to be broken, because their are far to many times that I've been given this response and it frustrates me to no end because the person giving that response doesn't take into consideration any factors or circumstances that would make the first time something was done, different from that current situation. They don't realize that just because something didn't work the first time doesn't mean that it shouldn't be tried again. I mean it's just like in our own lives, we are told to never give up on something we really want and that if we fail, to try again and again until we are successful. So why do so many people feel like it should be different in any aspect of our lives or our business, I don't get it honestly. I mean in companies it's looked at as a waist of time to try certain things for a second time when the desired results aren't reached the first time. But there is a reason that most successful programs are those that have been attempted many many times. The ones that were involved in studies and test trials and had likely failed in some cases but surpassed expectations in other cases. Once is never enough times to try something that could potentially benefit your company or life.

How many people realize this is a parable right out of the Bible? My husband and I had quite a discussion on this some months back.

Interesting video. Of course the Amazon example is a bit hard to digest tough, especially when one hears of the working conditions of employees at the bottom of the corporate food chain. Although that is probably the way with any huge company. The 1000 day thing is quite interesting I find.

What I get is in other words strive for excellence, but don't strive for perfection as fear of failure keeps people from trying, from taking action.
