Glad you found it useful. I believe the property has been bought by someone so the days when people can visit it will be coming to an end at some point.
The place is on the market again. The estate agent's info suggests that the location is incredibly isolated. It doesn't mention the fact that there are almost always walkers and sightseers on the top of that hill so the house is always overlooked (except during the frequent gales and rainstorms). And there's a constant trickle of Crowley followers up there just for the house. And there's the occasional motocross biker too. It's yours for £2 million. Quite a price for a windswept two bedroom house with no roof and no road (and no water and no electricity).
The Carne has been bought. It it is going to be demolished and a new build take its place. It willhave to be sympathetic to the landscape, etc. No one seems to know who has purchased it but they must have very deep pockets. The track up to the house is going to be 'renewed' so that the building materials can be brought up...It is going to utterly ruin the area for a long time. It's a real shame that it is going to disappear forever...... The peace and quiet will be destroyed ..I am very surprised that permission has been given to do this...
so we go down the street past the house with the red telephone booth up the public footpath into the field down a trail walking past ancient ruins through the wooden gate keep going north over the ancient stones up the hill (more ancient stones) take a sharp right turn at the mystical cave and Boom you are there!
It was inhabited by occultist Gerard Vaughan and probably owned by a lawyer called Weinberg who was connected to Crowleys agent in Newlyn Major Robin Thynne I wrote a book about it last year called Zennor Spirit of Place..Crowley was around during the summer of 1938 and had a child with his psychic mistress Pat Doherty
@@Bobby-nw2vf Hi Bob, it's a brilliant book which I love going back to. I've got number 85/666 which is signed by you. I'm back in Zennor in two weeks time, I really cannot wait.
Hi JV..great video...I made my first visit to The Carne last Thursday.A beautiful, cold sunny day but even colder inside the Carne.....Bearing in mind what is alleged to have happened there I was not surprised.. I felt as though i was being watched..observed... The location is stunning . What is the music you used on this video? I really like it. Cheers Blair.
I’m afraid I no longer have the source files so I can’t give you the exact name but the music is freely available on the RU-vid music library. It was probably categorised as atmospheric, spooky, eerie or something like that.
No wanting to ruin a good story, but unfortunately Aleister Crowley never lived in or even ever visited this property. There is no evidence he was ever there. This whole association with him has been invented. The real story here is the tragic and mysterious death of Ka Cox in 1938.
How have i lived in cornwall but never heard about this!!! Dayum... i looked it up and found your vid cos was looking at exploring with fighters and proving demons tiktoc and they were there doing an all nighter there.... then had to look alister up as had no Idea :/
Thanks for watching my video. I believe the property has been bought so it may no longer be possible to visit but it still might be worth having a look. It's a great place to go for a ramble regardless. Cheers, JV.
