Hello hellooooo are we posting videos everyday now misteeeeer I watched the Portuguese version of this video this morning, but will send this version to my American bf who will join me on this trip!!!
This month things will get hectic here on the channel! Thanks for your incredible support! I will need it more than ever this time! In the next 2 months!
I traveled to Portugal for the first time by myself recently. I had been in Europe before but not by myself. When I arrived in Lisbon I decided to take the train to my hotel all by myself. What a thrill. It's so easy even a 6th grader could do it. People around me were willing to help me when I felt lost. What I especially liked was that my train left me right at El Corte inglés Mall. I had a bite to eat, used the ladies room, exited the mall right out into the street. And like in 7 minutes I was in my hotel.
heeeey I am glad to hear that. Where did you fly from? You're asolutely right it is really really easy, but as you know, when we travel we like to have a look, check out how safe it may or may not be, which is why I like making videos like this. I made one exactly like this one about the city of Salvador in Brazil and I am editing one regarding the city of Porto and it's metro link to the airport. Of course this is a travel channel we always have different types of videos. Please subscribe! I am really happy you've had a good time here! Thanks for the visit!
@@rebeccagutierrez1960 cool, I've never been. Need to visit, I have some great Puerto RIcan friends and I've always wanted to visit it. Maybe in the next couple of yrs. Thanks for the message! :-)

For someone who's directionally challenged like me, i find your video extremely helpful. I'll be traveling to Portugal sometime in October and would likely use the train majority of the time. Also, love choice of your background music. ❤️

Very helpful. Don't forget that at Oriente Station you can get the train which crosses the bridge to Almada and other places south of the river - a very quick journey.

Next time ill stay longer looks awesome!
Hi there Tony how are you? Thanks for writing to me. Did you come to Lisbon yet?You should definitely spend some time here, it is a great city, one of the world's top 25 most beautiful for sure. The airport is very close to the city center. Only about 7km so if I were you I'd stay in the center. Take an uber for they are quite cheap here too. Hope all is ok with you, please subscribe. Keep in mind that all videos are uploaded in 2 versions...English and Portuguese. All the best!

Thank you for this super informative video! If I'm coming from Chiado and going to Oriente, switching from the green line to the red line, do I pay twice? Or is that just one fee? Thank you!
Hello there, thanks for writing to me. Nope...you will pay only once, per entry to the metro system, it doesn´t matter how many lines you board. Hope you have a nice tri there, please subscribe!
Hi Humberto: I’m traveling next week to Lisbon with two friends, we are going to be in an Airbnb in Rua de Dona Stefania, o bairro is in Santa Cruz, looking at your directions and somebody else, tells me that taking the Red Line in the airport you can get off at the Saldanha station, not far frome address. Is that correct? Otherwise, let me know. Muito obrigada. Love your video.
Hello there, how are you tody. Rodrigo here. How was your trip in the end? It is so easy to get around on the lisbon metro isn´t it? I hope you had a great time in Lisbon. SOrry it took me so long to repy. My house and building were under renovation I went crazy for almost a year lol xoxoxo please subscribe!
hello there....did you travel to Portugal yet? Sorry it took me such a long time to reply. From the airport to Rossio you'll be fine, the biggest challenge will be the connecting lines at Alameda. How was it for u? Thanks for writing to me please subscribe!
Thank you for this informative video! When I make the transfer from the Red line to the Green line - is this at an additional cost? Or could I load my card with just 1 metro ticket?
hello there how are you? Thanks for writing to me. Nope, no aditional costs involved. You pay the same price to use the entire system too. I know that in some countries the tickets price varies depending on where you board and exist. Not here. thanks, please subscribe! :-)
Thank you for this video. I'm going to sintra but do I get on a train from the airport to oriente and then get on another train to sintra? Will i need to purchase two tickets since im getting off and then getting on another train? I appreciate your help.
Can you recommend the metro for a party of 4 adults with a normal size suitcase and normal carry bag each to travel to Praca do Rossio area? Until just today I was planning on Areobus but it seems that system is still not running? So either the Metro will work for us or we use Taxi/Uber right? Thank you.
Hello Roy how are you? If you're going to stay in Rossio Sq or very close to it I'd recommend the metro. It is easy, cheap and quite quick. The tickets are really easy to buy too, can do it from the telling machines and have the information displayed in English as you purchase. Can use credit or debit card, pretty easy. You're going to have to purchase 4 cards though. The subway is literally at terminal 1's exit, take the red line to ALAMEDA then change to the green line to Rossio Sq. the subway statio is literally at Rossio Sq. Now if you happen to have a lot of luggage uber will be your best option. Uber in Lisbon aren´t expensive. Just make sure you get a larger car to that everyone's baggage fits in. There are vans you can take via uber too...Uber Black isnt that much more expensive. Thanks for writing to me. Please subscribe! :-)
thank you so much for this expained step by step video. Quick question what if I'm traveling with a carry on, do i still have to go throgh departures? ornis there another way?
Hello there, thanks for writing to me, I really appreciate it. The answer is yes....all arriving passengers must go though departures to ge to the luggage claim area. :-) Thanks for the question, please subscribe! :-)
Hello Ryan how are you. Sorry it took me so long to reply...my apt was under rennovationso much stress. Apt and also my building lol. How was your trip. I'd say you should put 10 euros for a start because you can ride buses, trams, boats and trains with it. :-) Believe me...uber is quite cheap here, but that 10 euro credit goes quite quickly anyway! :-)
The red line of the metro is being extended to Alcantara from its current terminus at Sao Sebastiao and the opening is planned for 2026-2028. The second major extension that is planned for Lisbon’s metro is the merger of the current Green and Yellow Lines into a circular route with a link between Rato and Cais do Sodre stations (two stations will be built at Estrella and Santos on this link) that will open in late 2024 or early 2025. Upon completion of the link the Green Line will run in a circle route and the Yellow Line will be rerouted to run between Telheiras and Odivelas stations although some peak hour trains might run between Odivelas and Cais do Sodre. The Yellow Line will lose its interchange station with the Red Line as a result of these two extensions, although a transfer point between the Red and Yellow lines at a station north of Campo Grande is planned and this would relieve congestion at Campo Grande which is expected to increase because of the opening of the link. The extension of the Red Line to a new Yellow Line transfer station is not included in the current plans however.
Hello there, thanks for sharing this information with all of us here on the channel. I really appreciate it. I am aware of these changes, but most people aren't. Great comment, super nice of you to take the time to write it to all of us. I think that the rearrangement will be very beneficial to the city, but I still think that a couple more lines should be built and the interval between trains should shortened by acquiring more trains to service the system. Thanks for the comment, please subscribe! :-)
Thank you. For your info. When you take the greenline do we have to buy another ticket? Skso where can U buy a sim. Card for the phone. Can you suggest something. Can I buy it at the airport
hello there, sorry it took me so long to reply. Did you go to Lisbon yet? I'm not aware of a weekly pass, you could buy a regular card and put credit. I think it is the best option. Uber there is quite cheap too. You can also download BOLT which is uber's competitior app. thanks for writing to me. cheers!
hello there. Sorry it took me such a long time to reply. I'd need to make a video about that. There is so much to do in Lisbon :-) If you rent a car definitely visit places like Nazaré, Tomar, Óbidos and Odeceixe! :-) or go south to the Algarve for sure! Thanks for writing please suscribe!
Hello marika...it is so easy. Just follow the instructons really. How was ur triip? Please subscribe, sorry it took me succh a long time to answer! cheers!
lolol not so simple anymore though, they keep cancelling on you, it really depends on where you go. I prefer Uber eventhough they tend to cancel on you quite often these days. Thanks for writing man, please subscribe.
Hi there Rich how are you? Yes the uber in Lisbon is very reliable and it is one of the cheapest in Europe! When you come, also download another app called BOLT! Switching between them is ideal. Sometimes one is cheaper than the other for the same ride! Thanks for writing please subscribe!
