HOW TO GET BACK TO MAINLAND FROM GUARMA: • Return back to Mainlan... This is how you can explore Guarma without any annoying snipers ruining your fun! #RDR2 #Glitch #Guarma
This is how you can return to the mainland when you're on Guarma: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Svfzh8S4FN0.html FAQs: Can you do this in chapter 5+? Yes but the snipers will be there Does this work ONLY on chapter 2,3,4? No, like I said it works on all but the snipers will be there past 4 Do trophies work? Yes, they do and you can get Zoologist using this method. Can this be done in online? Nope How do I leave guarma? Top link in this comment Can you save on Guarma? Yep! What pistols are they? M1899 pistols sold in Saint Denis Gunsmith. How do you get that outfit? Complete all 90 challenges. I did a glitch in version 1.00 to access new austin. Does this still work? Yes. Story mode glitches, apart from the bridge glitch, will most likely never be patched. Does this work on Xbox/Pc? Yes it works on any console it doesn't matter How do you have 99 of all tonics? Legend of the East Satchel. You craft it at Pearson's by crafting all other satchels, OR you buy it from a fence ONLY in the epilogue. Where do horses spawn out the map? They spawn usually anywhere outside the map close to the inside of the map. Except the outer area of New Austin or Mexico.
I just wanna know. There’s a mission (side mission) in butchers creek in which you get trapped in a cave, if you drink alcohol and pass out will the mission bug out??
Thanks a lot. I tried this, it was a little hairy as I couldn't even see New Austin to avoid getting too close, but I made it. I even had Arthur take a few "wish you were here" self portraits in front of the rolling waves and lush greenery.
THANK YOU MY MAN. I love free-roaming games and then discovering I can get into secret areas, we usually call it mountain climbing, but here it seems more like cave wandering, a little bit of mountain climbing, and then a whole lot of desert trekking. Anyways, Thank you!! I'm 100% gonna try it out!!
If you do this after you already went to Guarma in the story, there will still be invisible snipers and you will not have full access to the island. I came here as John and wasn’t able to fully explore.
Why is R* so good at patching bugs that let you explore and have fun while simultaneously ignoring annoying bugs like all the characters asking you to put warmer clothes?
Thats more than awful! Damn it, it's June! This Bug has been bugging me for more than 6 Months. And R * just doesn't seem to care at all. Sad! Just sad!
@@Harsh-tf9he Using cut content for online purposes is always a bad idea. Look at Destiny. It's a bit different but Bungie always reuses assets from the first game.
Originally in story mode, there was a cargo ship that would take you down to Guarama, and the tickets cost 100 dollars a journey. That however was unfortunately scrapped
@@notfeedynotlazy well I mean technically there isn't any shops in the guarma map and I know you'll probably say they were scrapped with it and you're probably most likely right but truth be told we really don't know so it can be any reason tbh
12:06 You're going to Guarma Tbh that Guarma content makes me wonder why a lot of resources go into an area that you can't explore freely in the normal game, it felt like I was playing a Far Cry game on those few missions there.
There is even a way to use your own horse all the way to Guarma as John, i also went there as Arthur and rode all the way back to camp on a Guarma donkey and kept it as my temporary horse.
@@CosmicX South of Lake Don Julio on the San Luis River is a Island , ride your horse on to it so its nearest to the land on the other side and tell it to, STAY, go and get a wild horse or steal one and ride to the hut with rats in past Manteca Falls. Cross the water there and drunk glitch on the other side , now you are up in Mexico run back to where your horse is and whistle , he should swim over to you ,from there you have to travel south west and find a path to travel up onto the shelf out of the bowl and you can travel anywhere from there, i didn't find this out myself i think it was edopot or basement gamer video i cant remember. Only can be done as John i think.
@@CosmicX I just tested paalo's method and it worked, I managed to get Guarma much faster using his method, AND I'm playing as John since it's post game. So happy to fill out the comendium now!
You know, I uses to think “why people want to get to these unfinished or unreachable ares in games? There’s nothing there, what’s the fun?” but now I realized it’s honestly just to explore. To find out about parts of the game that never were meant to be seen and the fact that it is out of reach makes it much more fun. It’s honestly no different than playing the games the first time and exploring the unknown.
omg yes i remember too it was amazing. we first tried the sliding stop up the hill method but that was so inconsistent, luckily the buggy method let you just drive out of the map no problem. i almost think the beta was better than whatever online is now lol.
@@CosmicX I mean it makes sense because they make so much money from GTA online and RDO which they need to finance their uber expensive main titles but it’s still such a shame…
It actually WAS intended for the player to travel to guarma after the game was done, but was cut out by rockstar cuz they thought it didnt make sense to visit the island again. It was part of cut content from the game they seriously cutted out alot of content from the game
To be fair Canon wise it doesn't. The island is only intended for Cornwall workers and native inhabitants. Foreigners who appear there get killed on sight so I don't think John has the intention to ever go there and Arthur wouldn't want to come back there.
RU-vid's algorithm rewards engagement of all sorts. You can trick the system by replying to unique comments as well as hearting them. Which is why he's doing what he's doing.
At 14:12 I think that dialogue exists because you can actually talk to and find Asian, French and Spanish immigrants around saint denis, especially in the large market plaza near the grocery store. Normally they will first speak in their native language but then talk a bit of poor English so I’m guessing they used that same dialogue for the locals of guarma.
There is unique dialog too though, he can tell them that its a nice island or if you antagonize he can get mad and tell them to stand up for themselves
@@hontherun3495 the dialogue IS unique to guarma, however the reason it’s there is because there’s a village that’s close to the river where you initially spawn in guarma with villagers you can interact with during regular gameplay, so it’s not necessary to glitch in order to talk to them. Another piece of unique dialogue is Arthur’s interactions with the sick of Armadillo. If you’re able to disable the sniper using the Angelo bronte mission, there’s completely unique dialogue for the cholera people of that town. Very interesting.
@@bagelized this is because I am unaware of the language the asian npc's, whereas I know the languages the french and spanish speak. It would be racist if I just assumed their nationality and said "chinese NPC's" so I resort to saying the general continent they come from. If I didn't know what language the french and spanish were speaking, I would also refer to them as "European"
Keith Richards is one modern example? Nearly every philosopher, ever. Research. There's an old joke, 'What's the worst thing about being drunk? Ask a glass of water.' When you're old enough. You'll work it out.
I tried twice today; I fell through the map the first time in one of the blurry spots. The second time, I did make it to Guarma but I accidentally fell in the trap in the ground and was forced to kill the soldiers. That activated the invisible snipers like you said. Now I can’t venture past the starting area. I keep getting insta-killed. So, yes. Follow his advice and avoid confrontation with the soldiers at all cost if you actually want to explore.
@@Lilstanklegss Yeah, just not on your main save. That would be a good idea, cause it takes close to 30 or 40 minutes just to get to the edge of the map.
@@lumbagoboi1649 Nah I've done that both times, the first playthrough too I went in a bunch of times to make sure I got all of that guy's dialog, still nothing. It's gotta be an update introducing a bug
This is truly refreshing to have a full layout of exactly what to do with step by step directions and a sound guide. the dedication and countless unrecorded footage for the hours spent discovering it's failures to be mastered is what makes this video absolutely an amazing accomplishment! 👏 We tip our hats to you for this hard work and determination to find the hidden path to the undiscovered and uncharted trails to Guarma. Thank you kindly 🙏 You have earned me as a subscriber 😌
This game is so detailed it’s now got me wondering if you make John or rather get drunk too often, their alcohol tolerance goes up and it take more alcohol to make them drunk?
One year later glitch still works... big tip other than getting a horse. The easiest way to avoid those invisible snipers just run to where the graphics edge stops and just run along that. You should make it to Mexico and to Guarma.
Updated comment: I’m sure you can spawn back with the auto save after getting blown away by the god sniper. However, my game would always load me into Guarma, after like 4-5 hours of just exploring the boundaries of Guarma and just being sniped, I did manage to get back. No cheats, no horse, straight foot and it sucked. Instead of going to the left side of the map and go the top right corner of the map of land where the water goes to a non texturized part, just run on the non textured part and head north you’ll then be standing over water don’t worry you’re on an invisible hill, slowly and methodically work your way up to the main map and starting heading north again and you’ll be in front of Saint Denis, your journey is not over however. Run on the bank of the river until the game recongizes that your back on the main map, your map will still show Guarma even though you can see saint denis literally right in front of you. I ran along the waterfront until I heard the ambiance music of saint denis and once the map reloaded that’s when I died and it spawned me on the main map, if any of you have a similar issue I hope this comment helps.
You can find horses pretty quickly. As soon as you wake up above the cave and climb up that gully towards the west, turn right and there are a few horses (sometimes a thoroughbred or appaloosa) just to the north
@@kudretkeskinTR go to the settings menu and press triangle or y if your on Xbox to enter cheats. Then enter in the cheat "Run! Run! Run!" Exactly as I wrote it and it will give you a race horse
Quick tip: if you want to get perfect pelts/skin of every animal all you need is a bow and a warming rifle. For any boars, and medium sized animals that aren’t hostile, you can use a normal arrow for a clean kill. Any hostile animal that isn’t a snake will be perfect killed with improved arrows. Any small game, use small game arrows. Only animals that specify varmint rifle don’t work with arrows
When the Guarma chapter came along... I clean shaved Arthur for the bank job mission to make him look fancy and professional. Slicked his hair with the pomade. When he washed up on guarma he had a level 5 beard! His hair went from level 4 to 6 I believe. Time flies by floating in the ocean Arthur’s hair grows 😆
If you try to go into that cave on Guarma where you and Dutch meet gloria, you will be sniped. Other than that I’ve gone around the entire island and been fine👍
@@foxfroth2179 if you’re referring to the shitty area where it’s almost impossible to get through because you have to go so far off the map, I don’t believe so. Saving and reloading while in new Austin and being Arthur, the load, from what I remember, will load you in at the closest point that isn’t “wanted: dead or alive”. Also camping doesn’t work. Lol
I tried this today and it worked. The only problem is there's a random event that will spawn near the camp u are staying in during chapter 5. That random event involves a couple of guards chasing and shooting a worker/prisoner. And for some reason they started shooting at me too (i didn't interfere with the random event). I managed to escape them without having a wanted sign however the invisible sniper spawned. I think you should avoid the camp area so that the random event won't trigger so there won't be any snipers. Edit: nvm, all i did was quit the game to desktop then launched it again, the sniper was gone :))
Yeah those idiots do that annoyingly, but yeah you can just load the save and it'll disappear, nice job figuring that out!! It never used to be like that, on the older versions the sniper would permanently stay but I assume they changed it if people had issues getting into New Austin despite being John
There are two random events, and one is guaranteed, the other one only happens if you fall into that trap at the end of the pathway leading out of the camp in Guarma.
I'm not a game developer but I think they added it to avoid you getting out the map on Guarma (the island was heavily unfinished, the size of the island in game is just a fraction of what it would have been)
this is brilliant! with your permission i would like to make a video on this exploit, providing of course a shout out & link to your original video. let me know if that's ok, friend!
Ah so if you are before chapter 5, just save and load, but if you're after, then there's no way to remove it I think, although someone told me that you can replay the first mission of guarma chapter 5 and once you finish it disappears, though I can't confirm this is the full method
Another and probably a better way to get horses is to get close to the wanted area in West Elizabeth and wait for a bunch of Pinkertons to spawn near you. They will spawn even off the map on the mountains, kill them and choose one of their horses. Usually, they would ride Mustangs and Standartbreds.
If you compare how large that small piece of playable area actually is compared to the rest of the leaked island, then Guarma must be huge! Such a shame, because Mexico is cool and all but three years later I'm still hoping for a Guarma DLC lol
Guarma was such a pretty area. I always felt like it was a waste of detail since we didn’t spend a lot of time in that area. You never return later, no dlc, nothing
It was intended to be a larger part of the game and you were going to have the possibility to go back by riverboat, probably as John but it wouldn't really make sense for the story of RDR1
Maaaan, why can't all shit on yt be this high quality, and then the fucking cherry on the top is the the ppl who do make it this quality don't have nearly as many subs as they should
I personally have no desire to visit Guarma, didn't even care for it much for it during the game. Not sure the attraction but to each his own. However 355 subs & 304, now 305 comments. Good ratio my friend!
@@stayhydrated3495 Exactly, what is the point of even going to Guarma in the first place? Didn’t really add much to the story in the end… So why go back a second time, but once again each his own
Thank you for this. I used cheats because I only needed this for some footage for a project but you did it for me. So now I have some footage I can use
Rockstar: "Huh, so we had to cut all this content, and we don't know if we should do anything with it, but we can't be bothered deleting it." That one guy snorting cocaine: "LET'S PUT INVISIBLE SNIPERS EVERYWHERE" Rockstar: ".... Genius"
people who haven't played rdr2 don't realize how much time it takes to do this. It takes 200 hours just to prepare Arthur.. can't do this fresh off the start. Then the enormous amount of time it takes to run around the map... it really is only for the most dedicated
This is a great video. Absolutely not click bait. I’m actually about to try this. I just started a new game so I think I’ll be able to do this. I think I’m in like chapter 4
One thing to remember - when on Guarma already - DO NOT shoot any of the guards because it will activate the sniper. I was hunting for birds, pigs and boars and suddenly a guard became interested in me, I kept defusing but he hit me and started shooting so I killed him and his mates. After the area cleared I couldn't get anywhere without getting shot by sniper
It's kinda weird that you can walk to Guarma on the same map so to speak! You'd think it would've been simpler to just make a separate instance for Guarma.
The Lannahachee River next to St Denis was supposed to have a delta in the games Beta however it was scrapped I think Guarma was supposed to be accessed this way.
I did this a year ago in chapter 6, but I went around the north way because it was hard for me to navigate the san luis river portion. Crossing the water at the northeast was really tough, took me hours of trying to finally get to guarma
Ok so I got to Guarma as John after the epilogue and the town is red. Like Toudreyte6501 said in the comments below, replay the mission The First Shall Be Last and after completing it, you will respawn in Guarma and the sniper will be deactivated. Make sure you have autosave enabled, if you don't you will respawn back to the normal map. You will reactivate the sniper if you go to the port or the upper part of Aguas Dulces, even if you don't kill any guards, those 2 areas are the activation points for the sniper. I am using the PC version.
Off the map looks so goddamn beautiful. The massive emptiness and big sky reminds me of the real wild west. I wish they kept an area like this without any civilization and not many animals
if i recall there didnt used to be invisible snipers after chapter 5 aslong as you didnt activate them by trying to leave the area while you were there in chapter 5 so that means rockstar literally took the fucking time to make a stupid fucking patch to add more snipers instead of spending that time working on red dead online or a dlc for rdr 2 wow really love how your spending the time you have to work on red dead rockstar really appreciate whats next month gonna be nerfing gold farming more in red dead online to encourage transactions or will you add flying horses?
@@CosmicX so online has them too even though it just teleports you outta there wow they really wanna spend all there time and effort on ruining the fans is fun from stupid things that the fans dont even mind
I heard they cut out 5 extra hours of gameplay. Like they originally meant of us to be able to get to Mexico. I heard they were going to have some type of boat sail you to Guarma.
@@CosmicX Hello there, I play on PC... better graphics and I can use mods. I can use wrappioints to get to Mexico and Guarma. I just think they should of made these places accessible without having to cheat or glitch. Anyone who believes they are coming up with new DLC that adds Mexico to the map is crazy.
I couldn't find a horse and ending up running the entire way, it was suuuuuper punishing but I finally got there, big cheers for the video! It was very helpful.
@@CosmicX Yeap. Left path. Or actually two paths on the left side past the church or the ruins where Arthur frees himself and some folks from interrogation. If you try to go there you can get shot by invincible sniper
Yeah I know that place. If there are snipers that magically activate then i believe you can activate a mission replay and leave it to temporarily disable them
As you get towards the far west new Austin it seems like the snipers can hit you from a lot further away, also, I recommend saving your game before coming upon the area with the horses, this just takes way too much time to do without a horse
Thanks v much for the tutorial! Did it last night, I'm there but unfortunately the sniper is activated basically everywhere expect if the area of the waterfall. I'm on chapter 2. But it was fun doing this, especially because this is my 4th playthrough:D
Now first of all, thank you for uploading this. After my second try, I actually managed to go to guarma 😊 But unlike you, I somehow can't walk around freely, because I'm getting shot at everytime I pass civilisation, probably invisible snipers. On the other hand, everytime I die, I just get respawned on guarma. Don't know if I should see it as good or bad. I get respawned on the island, but I can't run around freely. Kinda sucks 🙃
Great video, thanks for that. Just a tip for anyone that, like me, was having issues getting horses to spawn. Get yourself a wanted bounty, they will be bounty hunters on the outside of the map. Kill one and take his horse...👌
@@CosmicX I'm literally doing this again right now. I have a $65 bounty in West Elizabeth. This time there was lawmen, so it still seems like its an rng thing. I now have a $165 bounty, but worth not walking...😂
@@luca13yearsagoedited22 I accidentally attacked one of the guards. Once you get a wanted level, the sniper activates. So just be a saint when you’re there, lol. It worked once I reloaded the save I had before I got a wanted level.
I'm curious. Did you do all this in one sitting? If you get to Guarma and then set up a camp so you can rest and explore, do you stay there, or port back to the open map? Also can you gather pelts, skins etc while your there, store on horse, camp and fast travel?
Oh nice I mean I knew you could sit on the outskirts of the sugar cane fields but the moment you went too far in the guards would come after you. I didn’t know you could talk to them though, probably unintended because you almost instantly get killed or wanted. This glitch is also not patched. And it has not been patched since this drunk method was discovered in that cave, a long time ago. So this was patch 1.26, and i think there weren’t any newer updates for now, but even if there are, expect this to still work. It has worked since patch 1.00 and it is very unlikely they are gonna patch this out.
@@CosmicX I can't even go past the fucking mountains, and my idiotic Arthur decided it was a good idea to slide down the mountains right into the bounty hunters, and I can't find any stupid horse.
I have one where you can get to New Austin during the mission 'Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor', and you can also explore Blackwater there too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zNWAScQeW5o.html
Agreed, the map probably was going to be so much bigger with Mexico, the entirety of Guarma and also part of canada, ever since the discovery of the frozen lake outside the map
