HOW TO REMOVE BLACK BARS AT TOP AND BOTTOM OF SCREEN! (ITS BANNABLE BUT VERY UNLIKELY) install win exp follow video until 3:05 1. hit your windows key and type in %localappdata% 2. find valorant folder 3. config (a lot of letter and number , you user id , so) 4. go to userdata 4. replace true to FALSE at bshouldletterbox 5. save exit 6. right click to userdata , enabled read only 7. launch Valorant go to win exp click on the valorant game file in winexp go to style disabled ws_border go to size and position and select maximize hope it help you 😉 its unlikely that you will get banned but do it at your own risk.. FAQ does it work on AMD: yeah it should as long as you can create a custom res do i have to change my sens? : no! stretched res doesnt effect sens if your taskbar is showing when in windowed mode then follow the numbers 1-7 above. if your stretched res is weird or something isnt working then try all different resolutions bc some pcs cant decode some weird resolutions (safest res is 1440x1080) if your on laptop then this tutorial is not for you! I RESPOND TO EVERY COMMENT SO IF YOU NEED ANYTHING JUST SAY AND I WILL TRY AND HELP! IF YOU NEED ANY HELP JUST DM ME ON DISCORD Critical#4952 i respond very fast :) Hope this helped in anyway possible. :)
hey thank you for all the work you put into your videos! do you mind explaining to me like im dumb why a high end pc does not need stretch res? is it just because of fps? do you need a 200hz+ monitor if the difference is fps? or is it something else... thank you for your time regardless
@@mikebiff thanks! So high end pcs already have the processing power to get enough fps so stretched res is not need unless you like the stretched UI and slightly bigger crosshair (thats why pros use a stretched res). Stretched res can reduce the amount of processing power that your computer needs to do therefore on low end pcs it can use that extra processing power to get more fps
Just to save everybody some time, 1280x960 and 1280x1024 are the 2 most common resolutions for playing games stretched, you do NOT need to add these as a custom res as shown here, they are default resolution scales, every single PC has these listed regardless.
@@kzhatred375 cuz the monitor is bigger than a normal 1920x1080 monitor. 1940x1080 for a 2560x1440 monitor would be lik e 1280x960 for a normal 1980x1020 monitor. idk if that made sense but ye
just discovered this method on my own by with different steps. i have 3440x1440 ultrawide 21:9 monitor, game had always blackbars and i have 2 other monitors, both are fullHD, so i set 1280x960, then select 2nd monitor but DONT apply, and leave settings and its stretched fully on my 21:9 ultrawide, just like CSGO
Me with intel GPU :) works! Using true stretched 1024x768 with HP L1710 monitor , even tried it with a laptop (laptop native res is 1366x768) again with intel GPU , true stretched 1024x768 no black bars or , it's not blurry , works for me !
Sorry But I dont remember the method (Or Cant show you how I did it ) because I uninstalled the game a long time ago :( But It was almost the same as the normal one When I reinstall the game(maybe in a week because I dont have space in my PC) I will upload a video link here
Btw you don’t need to change your resolution in NVIDIA, you just can force full screen (as it shows on the video) and just change your resolution in the game. And you will have a full screen stretched resolution.
@@CriticalRU-vid i never play in window mode … when you set on nvidia that you force full screen you won’t have window mode … even if your Windows resolution is different than your valorant resolution.
Yo bro I saw ur nvidia settings and if you go to change res and scroll down. U should see Output Dynamic Range. Set it to full its a lot better. But it had been 11 months so u might have done so already.
Hey so I'm pretty sure its just like this, but whenever I put my resolution any more streched than 1520 x 1080 it gives me black bars. For example 1520x1080 works fine, but 1510x1080 gives me black bars in valorant. Im wondering if this is normal or not and if there is a way to fix it.
Is it normal to have black bars on top and bottom or did I do something wrong? I’m on amd btw . Would really appreciate a response from someone that plays on true stretched. Thanks!
you can hide the task bar by going into the windows settings and selecting automatically hide taskbar. to remove black bars you need an app called winexp however its quite hard to remove the black bars now as riot have tried to patch true stretched res. try look for some updated guides to remove the black bars with winexp and tell me if you have any luck!
@@stephen3260 yeah i mean any free editing software should do that. Maybe try da vanci resolve or filmora. Try look on youtube if they have a watermark when exporting though.
so like i made my 1440x1080 resolution but on valorant when i try to make it fill it wont even let me use fill it has a locked icon is there a way to fix this or will i just ned to deal with the black bars
i'm still getting bars, and when i use nvidea it makes my screen smaller and still has black bars. Valorant also gives my black bars even if fill is on. it aslo doesn't stretch it shrinks my screen making everything slimmer not wider
for true res to remove black bars you need to download a software to remove it but thats bannable so you cant really do it. but for normal res you shouldnt have black bars since its only stretching your HUD
My Game stretches perfect when I do it the first time, but as soon as I start a Game the Aspect Ratio changes to Letterbox and Blackbars appear on top and bottom of the Screen. I can remove them when I switch back to native and stretch it again, but I dont want to do it every time i join a Match. Anyone got a fix for that?
yeah this is quite a typical issue, unfortunately with riot trying to patch this sort of stuff its so hard to consistently get true stretched res. personally i would recommend you play a normal stretched res like 1280x960 or 1280x1024.
Those two listed resolutions are both 4:3 aspect ratio, meaning that they are the exact same. Only difference being the pixel count making 1440x1080 have better resolution for the cost of a tiny amount of frames per second compared to 1280x960
yeah ik its weird bc riot doesnt want you to do it which sucks.. if you follow the pinned comment then you can get true stretched res but its a risk as you could get banned but its very unlikely i think.. so do it at your own risk i guess
why is my valorant keep auto switching to 1600:900 res, in the menu it show 1440x1080 but when i go to the range or comp it switch to 1600:900. it does strecht but not my (1440x1080) res. can you help?
there could be many reasons why your res is blurry, it could be your monitor (make sure thats 1920x1080), your nivida settings (copy mine in vid). add my discord and i might be able to help you.. Critical#4952
i change my res on pc valorant nvidia settings set to full screen and all that jaz but still got black bars and even if i put game to my native res i still got black bars like wut
if your using a laptop then only if there is a default option with 960 it will work or you are putting your res higher than the highest possible for your device
Hello, i am trying to follow the tutorial but when i try to change the resolution in game the only things that apperas is custom, can you please help me?
for remove black bar and get the same streched res like Cs:go install win exp before you need to change res and select windowed go to %localappdata% valorant config (a lot of letter and number , you user id , so) go to userdata replace true to FALSE at bshouldletterbox save exit right click to userdata , enabled read only launch Valorant go to win exp go to style disabled ws_border go to size and position and select maximize hope it help you 😉 and don't worry , i try it in deathmatch i don't get ban trust me
hey, so I can't find user data but I did find bshouldletterbox in some of the files in config. I found it by clicking on the files with numbers and letters then clicking windows then GameUserSettings.ini. Im not sure if I should change it since it would take a long time to change all of the number and letter files to false.
when i change it to windowed it stays windowed so sometimes i accidentally click on the apps on the bottom while playing. does anyone know how to fix this?
:/ its changed a lot since that video, they trying to stop true stretched res so thats why its harder to get. watch my video i made about a month ago to get regular stretched res if your still wanting stretched res!
