Hey, I’ve been planning to buy the zv e10 m1, should I get just the body and a sigma 30 to start with or use a kit lens first and slowly invest into a sigma 30?
So firstly it depends on what you are going to shoot, if you are into photos then sigma 30mm is a good option because it will give good low light and more clarity to photos. But if you are shooting just videos, then the kit lens will be better because it will give you varied focal length 16-50mm. It is good for daylight shooting. But not good for low light. I have got a tamron 17-70mm 2.8 for both which is very good lens. So first try and get well settled with the kit lens then if you have the budget invest in a good zoom lens (like I mentioned).
@@capturingtheframe Hi, I’m just hobbyist. Just starting out and being seen with a 17-70 lens outside will overwhelm me for now. I’ll start with the kit lens for now as you suggested. Do you think zv e10 would be perfect for me? I just wish to document my life and capture everyday moments. I’ve been struggling to pick between zv e10 and a zv1 just because it’s so pocketable. I know everything about both the cameras, all the pros and cons but the pocketability of zv 1 is amazing and you know how they say that the best camera is the one you have on you all the time. The only thing that stops me from buying the zv1 is whether it can compete with an iPhone and its computational power. Don’t want a Ricoh gr because no video capability. I wish you could help. I’ve been struggling with such thoughts since months now
I totally understand your point on using a big lens if you are just starting out. So yes go with the kit lens. And I would suggest zve10 due to its larger sensor 4k video capability and shooting in multiple profiles. I am also not a pro and just purchased an entry level camera to set my hands, once I get at a certain level where I think I can do pro filmmaking then I would go for high end cameras.
