Hey, I have a question. When importing addons to Minecraft Preview, is there a way other than importing worlds? Because, when I import addons via importing worlds, it seems the addons only are seen by that copy of the world, which means I can't add the new addons to my more updated versions of the save since I can't exactly reconvert Preview worlds to the stable release. Also, is there a way to import skins into Minecraft Preview?
SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Man, the Minecraft Marketplace has cool "shaders" I guess, but they keep re-texturing things. Base Textures with Shaders, simple; and easy. But ... NOOOOOO! I guess that's too much to ask for. I truly hope that when Shaders are fully released, we have just that. Not only that, but the process to get shaders isn't so damn convoluded for console.
It's so stupid how hard it is to get resource packs on xbox, but it works. I really hope that when shaders is fully released, they put shader resource packs on the marketplace with most paid but some free. It's just a lot easier than doing this.
You should have seen what we had to do 7 years ago to get one. You had to literally alter every aspect of the folder and use various apps just to get a shader 😂
@@Dxzmnddis it possible to download Java like shaders onto Xbox like complimentary shaders etc.? I don’t care how hard it is I’d be willing to do it to get that look on MC for my Xbox.
@@LoveableSaiyanonce the world copy has been created, click on the pen again and apply pack, open world again and the video setting for deferred rendering should no longer be greyed out
The reinstall method you have to go to the end of the video to see how it works, but basically it will get your corrupted world back maybe not all of them but some
What you can do is in Minecraft full release, Make a world then add the shaders in that world then create it, then go on preview then sync old worlds on bottom then redownload that world or wtv it should be on that world. Idk if he explained it but I hope this helps
So uh i got it working but i had to use a different way to get it to work, but i had to use realms in order to get it to work, but there should be a free trial if u dont wanna spend $15 on it, u also need a pc but it doesnt have to be able to run shaders, just able to run bedrock(i used my crappy hp laptop), so what i did was go on my pc, create a world on realms, walk around a bit, quit, then i downloaded prizma deferred shaders from mcpedl (u can any other ones that have deferred rendering, also to add the shader pack to the game you have to double click it and it should open minecraft and start an export) then edited the realm world, and activated the shader pack and you also HAVE to enable the option that makes players who join the realm download optional packs or it wont work, then i let it upload the world, then when its done i quit out of mc on my pc, and launch minecraft preview, and go into the world. But the shaders wont work because experiments dont work on realms for some reason??? So you have to exit the world when it loads (you also might wanna check if the pack is activated) and download the realm, once it downloads just enable the render dragon experiment, and go into the world once its done and enable deferred technical preview in video :>
smitty I don’t know what to do because when I load in the shaders world to walk around a bit it gets stuck and I have tried restarting Minecraft and it still doesn’t work even with other shader packs it’s does this and by the way I’m on series x
this whole tutorial worked but i don’t really like poggys shaders, it’s too much, is there like a basic shader i can get to just make the lighting pretty and do it just follow the same steps to install?
Worked for me without having to do the whole Minecraft Preview part. Then again I did do a different version download for the shaders. I was going to add "Action Stuff" but for now I'll just keep the shaders. (Note: The worlds did take a while to load and I even had to quit Minecraft a couple of times. if the game is frozen when creating a world, just quit the app. If you are loading into a world, just wait it out).
@@user-bp3kc8rq2c not exactly sure but it it stopped working now and my trial ended. I will say that packs such as action stuff work tho on the regular version of Minecraft.
I made it work. I downloaded several different packs to install at the same time so I can switch easier and faster. I simply redid the process and to fix this specifically I did this - I went through all of the videos that help you with broken SpongeBob download, folders and other ones. I created folders manually, but most importantly I wiped minecraft off the xbox, deleted the folder that I already actually had automatically by the system. After that I reset console, and did all of the manual repair pretty much and followed video step by step again. It works fine now one my xbox one and I got 4 different packs to load, but 1 crashes which is no issue to me. That's how I fixed it, just re did the steps again and did things manually instead of letting system do it, which is pain in the ass but hey, you want shaders right. Good luck, personally I spent 3 hours this night to make this work, and now I don't even like look of shaders on bedrock... I actually just bought the Classic Shaders off the marketplace and it works great, has similar stuff but ofc course very lite. Still got wavy stuff and nice water + fog depending on the biome and caves are gorgeous with this pack but scary ashell. Mobs are funny and some have 3d textures aswell.
It’s actually insane how complicated it is to get shaders on here. It should just be available to download in-game and there should be a toggle in the settings. They literally accidentally added shaders 4 years ago and that’s how it worked.
Hey smitty, I have a question. When I loaded into minecraft preview, activated the resource pack, and loaded into the world when I go into settings- video the graphics mode only gives me 2 options. The options are “simple” and “fancy”. It does not let me use the “deferred technical preview” graphic. Any chance their is a fix? Or a way around this?
Just make a world with the shaders pack on normal version. And then start preview and copy world from Minecraft Release version. And before you start the world you have to choose render dragon and activate it
Once I apply the pack I can’t even open the world. It just stays loading like halfway. I tried to convert the world to preview anyways and it stays at 0%
12:02 it didnt work for me first. after enabling the pack and turning on the enable render dragon for ceators it makes the copy of your world just like in the video. When it makes the copy hit the pencil icon on the copied one and enable the pack on it as well and make sure the render dragon for creators is turned on as well. After I made the copy I noticed it didn't have either enabled on the copied one but when you apply both to the copied one as well you should be able to turn on deferred technical preview
Just say a little reminder for people they’re still working on this feature so don’t expect it to be perfect or don’t expect anything to be running perfectly cause it’s not in the full game once it’s in the full game. It’ll be super easy and simple to get shaders.
There is one problem, the option "Deferred Technical Preview" on Graphics Mode is not letting me turn on, I only got Fancy and Simple so now I can't turn on shaders anymore Edit: Wait, hold on. I forgot that I copy the world and the Shaders isn't on, my bad
I had the same thing happen to me to fix it I had to leave the world then go into the copy with the render dragon features activated and re activate the pack on that world then when I got in I could turn on the deferred technical preview
Yo smitty, when I seem to let my friends join my custom worlds it doesn’t let them join and comes up with “server sent broken packet” or the mods just never finish loading
@@cocodialo9465 I have found a solution kinda, disable all your packs and then enable two, then the person can join and you can keep slowly adding on all the packs and it works
I had doubts about that working But really it worked And I’m so happy and excited to play it Of course frame rate issues if you care and some stuff glow or not glow in weird ways But besides that it is really good Love it 9/10
I really hate that minecraft decided to make it harder for console players to download shaders. After watching this video , I was REALLY surprised that it worked because most tutorials I've watched so far weren't working UNTIL I watched this video. THANK YOUUUU
Just a heads up for series console users the shaders take a long time to load, long enough I thought it crashed but leave it & will get there. Other than that all good
Is there a way to do it on dev mode? I tried to install the mcpack file on the ressource_pack folder on my dev portal but it seems to work diferently than original minecraft

Respect to anyone willing to do that much BS just to have crappy looking shaders. They should just give up deferred rendering and focus on RTX. And I don't even know why I watched this video, I play Java 😂
The reinstall method is so annoying, why just couldn’t that when you click on .mcpack it just opens Minecraft with the texture pack and it’s already there like on Mobile and PC?
It used to kinda be like that actually. You could say it was the golden age of Minecraft Xbox modding until Microsoft stepped in. Or more the render dragon update.
Hey, when I add the shader to my world on release version, I join the world just for it to load infinitely and I’m not sure if there is a way to fix this. My Minecraft is also consistently out of storage and I am thinking that is the issue
If your worlds gets deleted from the reinstall method all you have to do is sign out and delete your Xbox account off of your Xbox then you will need the email and password to your Xbox account to sign back in. After you should have Minecraft installed all you need to do is click on it and you should have your worlds back
I went through it all but stopped once it was time to go to SpongeBob thing and uninstall the normal Minecraft. This is absolutely ridiculous I don’t understand why Mojang hates us so much 😢
OMG thank youuuu, btw it also works if you have an usb pin, so you can download from your computer and copy it into the files app. So you can have all kinds of shaders. To not have shaders is the thing that have stopped me from playing minecraft. so thank you so much.
Hey Smitty, do you know why the sky is black, why all the lights are so bright and white and why the caves are so dark? These things really mess up my gameplay.
Shader is showing in my list of resources in Mc, luminous dreams shows on world loading but when I transfer it to preview, luminous dreams doesn't show in the resource pack list, any ideas?
After you put the resource pack on the world you should load it in normal Minecraft then save and quit the world after the world is done loading, that way the world will save the resource pack onto the world before you sync it to Minecraft Preview
I'm guessing the issue is in the sync/transfer to Preview, the world loads up and saves fine in normal MC, even has the Poggy logo and the water has an odd colour too.. checked the pack was activated after when it was saved but Previews having none of it😢
11:45 Oh and make sure that on the preview version of the world that you turn on Render Dragon features for creators in the worlds Experiments settings
Double checked and everything's set up as it should be. Think I'll try reinstalling both preview and mc later, in case it's some kind of syncing glitch as I've just tried a one of my already owned texture packs and it hasn't brought that over with the world save either!
it really sucks that the shaders are exclusive to worlds that have the settings enabled. You cant activate them if you're in another server that has the settings disabled. Really sucks.
