My precious little hunter is getting older and unable to walk very well anymore, so I have decided to purchase one of these carrier's because he still loves to go out. I can't wait till it comes in I hope my little pooch will like it and we can still enjoy many more walk together
Hey there! Could you tell us your experience please? What's your dog's weight and what model did you get? How is it for hiking trails for the dogs? And for you? Thanks a lot in advance!
I adore adore adore how much care and thought you've put into our furbabies. I have ordered mine and am beyond excited for it to arrive and try it out with my big GSD girl ❤❤
I found the k9 sport sack plus 2 for a steal at my local bargain hunt. I have always wanted one. I’m working on getting my boy into it still. Day 3 and we haven’t gotten both legs in yet but I’m trying so hard to be patient with him so I don’t make him hate it. This helps a lot.
Just purchased one of these for my shih tzu who is bigger than a average shih tzu. I just attempted to put him in it so we can both get used to it and placed him in it wrong! I put his body in first then his arms. What a upheaval lol. The arms were too tight and struggled to get him out! I was even going to call the pets store in the hope they could get him out 😂 BUT we managed! My husband came to the rescue. Unfortunately, we had to cut it so he wouldn't get stressed. No animals were injured Lol parents panicking but dog fine! I don't know why I didn't watch this video beforehand it would have helped A LOT!!!! Anyway, thank you, now we know how to get in and out of the backpack 😊. Looking forward to taking him out for rides 🙂 Oh, this was purchased from you guys!
I absolutely LOVE my K9 Sports Sack, I had one of the very first ones I bought back in 2016 and it’s still going strong! I get so much attention in it. It takes a bit of practice at first to get into but now I have it down to a tee and I even hold up my paws one at a time to get them in 😂
so what you seem to be saying is that mashing my dog down on the bed and flipping him onto his back as he squirms and fights me, manhandling him to get his paws through the holes, and then lying down on the bed and wrestling to get my arms through the straps might not be the best method then? ;) dumpster daisy is a dream compared to my little demon hound. i have to say once he was in there and onto my back, he settled in and enjoyed himself.
I really want to go fly fishing with my puppy but that's almost impossible to do. With this I would be able to bring her along and we could enjoy each other's company fishing. I think this will be awesome to own.
So happy that y'all have this "how to get your dog in the sack" video. Thank you. This content is what sold me on your product. I'm looking forward to using it. I have some steep rope-down spots I'd love to get to with my little boy. Your pack I know will make it happen.
Great 👍 I did it my self twice already and here I found a couple of things I'm missing, tighten the back rest straps... My big puppy was always going side on my back, will try next time... She has plenty of energy and don't stay calm to get into the sack hehe
If you wanna sell 1 of them, I'd buy it from you. Been looking for something I can take my shitzapoo with me on my motorcycle around town. I'll give you me contact info if you want it.
At 8:20 Harvey gives up all hope of dignity and surrenders 😂 seriously looks like a great product and what I’ve been looking for to take my Heeler on my e bike.
I received my k9 plus 2 last week and just can not get my 9 month old miniature schnauzer into it, she is completely freaked out by it. I was so excited about being able to take her on a bike ride but I don’t think it’s going to be possible. Any advice would be gratefully received.
Hi Sally! Just now seeing this. Our customer service is great at answering any questions you have! Getting a dog into our carriers can be a bit tricky at times but with yummy treats and some practice, it can be done!
Are they able to stretch their back legs at all? I feel like their back end might be cramped and uncomfortable and/or too much pressure on their hips and tail?
I want one for my basset hound. He's long and heavy, about 75lbs, but isn't tall (lol). So, is there a recommendation for this breed? Since I think the bag recommended for his weight would be far too big due to his density lol
You'll definitely want the Kolossus! As for sizing, You'll want a Large or XL. Make sure you visit our sizing guide if you haven't already: www.k9sportsack.com/pages/sizing
Please could you let me know what size bag harvey was in? I have bought a large for my springer spaniel but it seems too small. Maybe im pulling it up too high on his neck? He measured 22in and he weighs 40lbs
any advice for when your dog is in the bag but when you start to pick the bag up they stand up inside the bag? Is it okay to go through the motions of putting the bag on your shoulders if they're attempting to stand the hindlegs in the bag?
That's pretty common! Usually, once you get going on your adventure, your pup will get comfortable and eventually settle down into the carrier and sit.
For some reason it feels like my dog is never sitting right in it and I’m worried she’s uncomfortable. When I look in a mirror her back is all curved which doesn’t seem right
A lot of people carry their dogs in our carriers on the back of motorcycles and they will keep their integrity when it comes to bumps in the road, however, we only recommend it for experienced riders and if you feel confident about it.
@@k9sportsack981 Update. She doesn't like putting it on at first. But whenever she rides and has her goggles on she points her face in the wind and loves it.
Can I use this on a motorcycle you think with a small 10-12lb dog? Currently she rides in a reinforced soft sided pet carrier. With double leash's & a piece of plexiglass about 16" high by the width of the Bag. I fasten it to the sissy bar & luggage rack. She loves riding on it with me. Seen these and thought maybe one would be better for just short rides across town. Anyone have experience with it in that situation?? Thanks.
We would only recommend you do this if you have lots of experience riding and feel completely comfortable with the added weight on your back and can maintain your balance!
We have discounts every so often you could look out for! Follow us on IG to be kept up to date with our promotions. We also have clearance carriers that have been returned from other customers that are in near-perfect condition!
I cant tell whether xs or small fits my maltese, hes 12 inch for the back but hes never looking over my shoulder in the xs even though he seems to fit better
You could try pulling your shoulder straps tighter to get the carrier higher up on your back, or if your pup is sinking in the carrier you can try rolling up a towel or purchasing one of our booster blocks and placing it in the bottom of the carrier.
Right, 180$ got a piece of fabric made in China. Plus so many straps and 90% of people cNt even get the dogs inside. Ofc besides the perfect instagram pics and influencers who maybe drugged their dogs to get them in this for a video.
Hi Belle! With your pup having pre-existing health conditions, we recommend consulting your vet before purchasing. Your dog will be sitting in the bag similar to the begging position with their front paws exposed and resting on your shoulders.
Each carrier is equipped with mesh side panels for air flow. With that said, it's still very important to be mindful of the weather and using it accordingly.
I'd really pay money to see someone try and put my 30 lb red heeler into that. He's faster than a jack rabbit, snappier than a rat terrier, and as ballsey as a pit bull. Had him 4 years and to this day if I pick him up he will bite me. Although he will let a girl pick him up. He heards my zx14 to the gate and snaps at the tires if I go too slow. He's interested in the bike and wants to go but don't think he has interest in riding on it. Guess to him it would be like riding on a cow or something
We have a 40 lb red heeler that we take on dirt bike rides all the time with this bag! Maybe she’s just a bit more tame than other heelers but she loves it and lets us load her up easy.
@@k9sportsack981 It looks to me like the first dog was in a XtraSmall bag, not a small bag. Wondering if I should go for S or M size bag for my West highland white terrier weighing 22lbs
@@k9sportsack981 Sorry - didn't mean to sound rude! I may have been a bit frustrated when I posted that... I bought my K9 Knavigate a couple weeks ago and still haven't managed to get my puppers in there... I can get his front legs in but he refuses to sit so I can zip it up... regardless of the treats and patience I show... anyway, we're still working on it. Maybe one day.
Hi Alex! Sorry for the delayed response. We actually have a simplified version coming out soon so stay tuned. In the meantime, are there any tricks or hints we can offer?
If only there was some device to let the dog walk alongside us, but not run off. Like some kind of rope or tether that could possibly be connected to some kind of harness on the dog. Ah that sounds like science fiction though...
