Been playing since '07 came out, never tried for cape, couldn't convince myself to try. Just saw your vid and decided to say screw it. Blowpipe, blessed d hide, archer ring, 1st tried it. used 4 brews and 9 restores and 1 angler. Your short and simple points were actually the perfect thing to make the attempt as stress free as possible. Thanks!
I've played this game on and off since release around 2003, have had membership since osrs launched again playing on and off but hundreds of hours and many many years before I even attempted to go for a fire cape. Ended up getting it second run, first try on Jad. Biggest lesson is to just jump in and learn it.
Exactly same as me! I played as a kid but never really got into it, recently got into the game and just got fire cape on 2nd kc, also 1st kc to get to jad but got the famous jad hands hahaha
I did a firecape for a friend's friend back in the day for 12mill which was a shit ton back then. We were in ventrilo and I was telling him to pay me the gp on my account and he was telling me to log off his account first. He didn't wanna pay me so I dropped cape and waited for it to despawn lol
Not here to learn how to get the fire cape. I do appreciate the video on it though. I'm going to encourage others. I used to hate getting to Jad and dying. An hour or more of time down the drain. You'll get better though. The other day i noticed that despite getting my cape a month ago. I'm now doing them as simple slayer tasks. You'll get better and eventually up your game everywhere practicing this. Best of luck!
The thing about the Fire Cape is that it is quite difficult, until it isn't. And once you get past that point and get to the "this isn't hard" territory, you have it.
My first cape took me 8 tries. Since then i got several more first try. Its just about you not panicking and knowing your prioraties (prayer, before healing)
Never understood softmen who are afraid to try fight caves, just buy one of the best weapons and armor in the game for next to nothing and try it. How do people have a softcore account and not have a fire cape
Big tip. Bring black chimchompas for when jad spawns the healers. This will make it so you aren't clicking all over the place. Just keep hitting jad with the chimchompas and the healers won't be an issue.
I couldn't imagine how easy it is nowadays with all the new armour, rings, amulets and ranged options. Had to do it with karils when i wanted it. Was a doddle then. On a laptop with a mouse on my bed. Least accurate clicks imaginable and still easy. I think people just need to write down what waves things come in, learn the sounds and animations for jad, and just try it.
what are the brown potions your using called? i've seen a lot of guide but im always unaware of the potions people use, guess ill check out using just rangin pots lol.
