17 and I haven’t gotten my period in a year now. It not the first time. The longest I’ve gone without it is about 2 years. My doctor said to lose weight and we didn’t speak of it again. I miss my period, I want a future family and I pray to God it is his will to give me a child in the future

I'm so young and i wish i can get my period back. I want to have children when I get older I don't want this to be a reason why I can't.

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time, Peyton. I'm not sure how old you are but it is very normal to have an irregular cycle in your teens. Also, just because you have PCOS does not mean you won't be able to have kids. I have 2 children - both of whom were conceived naturally. There is hope!

PCOS Diet Support hahahahaha so true. Now the big question is will I ovulate and will I get my period again next month.. I just stated my PCOS journey 5 weeks ago when I was diagnosed that’s when I started with supplements and Metformin.

I had mine in January and on February I went to the doctors and told me I had pcos because I had symptoms like extra hair and hormonal acne I'm just scared because I haven't had my period come since January last year it was pretty normal cycles but I don't even know how it just changed and its now skipping months and all.

Hello, I have one question. I gave birth almost 6 months ago and I still have not had a period. I have had PCOS my whole life. I used to have a cycle every month and a half. Or a month and a week. Is that something to be worrried about?
@4theloveoflouu539
@4theloveoflouu539 3 года назад
its something you shouldn't worry about , especially if you are diagnosed with PCOS. i currently haven't had my period for about 3/4 months, sometimes it just takes time. if you're still worried you can always ask your doctor for more information !!!

Thanks for your informational post for all things PCOS. I have experienced missing periods but I also have issues with prolonged periods as well. It seems that when my cycle finally does arrive, it last forever...any thoughts/advice?

This was a classic symptom for me. I learned I had low progesterone & low estrogen as these are the symptoms. Look up supplements & foods to support progesterone. ❤️ good thing is we don’t have to worry about how much we eat to increases progesterone bc it should be the higher hormone as it regulates the other reproductive hormones Ultimately good eating is key & moving my body at least 20-45 min workout 3-4x a week or just walking at a brisk speed.

@@chelseachristenn Thanks for the insight! I shall follow your guidance. I initially was taking DIM which was great for clearing up my skin and balancing my hormones but I noticed it alone had caused me to bleed heavily if I used it during my period. I will definitely start working out more. I actually have "Walk It Out" game for my Nintendo Wii; so excited!

Please don't be scared, Hiba! It is very normal for a girl's period to be very irregular when she first starts having them. Just give them time to settle and if you present with any of the other symptoms of PCOS, you could ask your parents to take you to see your doctor.
