Hi Mitsy, I have just discovered your channel! Thank you for sharing your passion and wisdom. I'm in Alberta really considering a career change into aviation. I have an introductory flight which I am going to do in February and make a decision at that point. I've been networking and will be visiting a couple of flying schools too. Thanks for your encouragement through these videos, keep up the great work!
Thank you so much Peter. I am glad this video was able to help you. That is amazing! I would love to hear more about your pilot journey and what you think of your discovery flight. Let me know if you have any questions, I would love to answer! 😊 happy skies!
@@pilotmitsy thanks Mitsy! Yes I will let you know for sure - my flight is today! Very exciting! I have a feeling It'll take me a very long time to come back down to earth...! Watch this space:)
@@pilotmitsy awesome, yes I watched it!! Thank you, was definitely helpful :) flight was awesome, even a bit windy with gusts so I got the real deal!! Ha! I've now got the bug 100%!!! Quick question - I have heard Transport Canada are taking their sweet time assessing category 1 medicals. Do you know how long it is taking right now on average for new medicals assuming no medical issues? I've heard 6 months....
@@sohalvr that’s great! You will have fun flying, I love every bit of it! I’m sure u could call transport canada and ask them the wait times, should be able to give u a timeline. I did many several years ago, so I can’t say for what’s for now
Hey! I love how you went through everything required for the PPL in Canada. I just have one question, is there a minimum height requirement because I’m 4’10 😂
Hey Mitsy. Thank you for information provided. So can I take online Ground course first and then go to a practice lessons? or I have to do that simultaneously? Thank you.
I learned to fly decades ago! Had my first "Official" lesson (with an actual CFI, not just a Pilot friend) in 1969. Soloed very early 70's. It was much easier and affordable back then! Today it seems the whole government has combined just to keep the non-Millionaire "Private Pilot" out of the Sky! Too bad too, because the US aviation industry used to be THE BEST on Earth.
Here is my advice. Understand exactly what is required in terms of studying for the knowledge exam. It is a ton of work. And it is not a 70% pass as she stated. It is 60% pass. A ton of boring useless information but you have to know it or no PPL.
