A pro is someone who is making a living on a professional level, however many who dint make it.....wish they were a Pro.....Pro sounds cocky....just call your self a trainer, not pro. Much blessings
It doesn't matter if you are a top pro or not... your videos are very informative and there will always be haters.... We need more people out there to let people know what to expect and help them go through the process.... don't pay attention to the haters they are just so insecure about their own riding performance they need to trash on others to make themselves feel better about their performance. Have a great day and keep up the videos... to the haters... I hope your next riding session/race will be better for you, so you can feel better about yourselves.
People don’t understand that if u qualify for an ama national you are one the top 40 best riders in country! The guy getting lapped in 30th could pull up to any regular track and smoke everyone! So have some respect for these guys! Keep up the great work Johnny!
You paid the dues and you were and are a pro. I broke tib and fib along with the acl and they had to trim some cartilage too. Still clicks and pops now and again. You made it to races few ever do. Proud to watch these vids. Take care of yourself.
Good video buddy piss on the internet trolls I’ve ridden with you multiple times and I know you can and have turned laps with the best of them keep your chin up chest out and be proud of what you’ve accomplished!!!
Johnny, half thses guys have never even been to a race other than a arm chair racer. I am not a racer. Love motorcycles of all types, dirt and street. I've been lucky enough to go to several of the Monster Energy MX finals in Vegas. These guys (you included) are nuts. The things these guys do every race. Putting their bodies on the line day after day. Look at Forkner. Hasn't lost all year then gets hurt in a race day warm up. Don't let these guys bug you. Thanks for doing the vid.s.
Thank you for all the work you put in to this channel, and for giving back to the community. Glad to see you come back to the sport after such extensive injuries. Don't worry about the 1% of people who hate. Unfortunately they are usually the loud ones. The other 99% of us we quietly watch and like your videos without taking the time to drop a comment. We appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience. Keep up the great work!
Thats honestly awesome you got into some main events and shit. A lot of guys put in decades of racing and life changing injuries and never even win an A class moto.
Hey Johnny, Been watching your channel from the start. Love your vids, they have really helped both me and my son. Ignore the haters, even better just block them. You might not be destined to hold an AMA title but that doesn't mean that your not destined for great things. By the way I'm from New Zealand so you can say you have a global audience.
I appreciate your channel man. Some people can't see others giving good content. I'm not the best rider but I love getting better and your channel either helps or entertains so I'm stoked I came across it. It's hard seeing hate on you but just know it ain't real hate lol
You're giving back to the sport when you could easily be spending time elsewhere or on other things, and you're getting back on the bike to ride competitively. Anyone who fails to appreciate that passion & contribution deserves to get their comments deleted or ignored. Keep at it and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. This is good stuff.
Dude you are awesome! Doesn't matter if you were the best in the world, you will get haters just the same (the internet can suck at times), just know you are Massively appreciated by so many, including us! Hey, imagine all your subscribers in 1 arena, that's a hell of a lot of people who think you rock. Peace and love from us both ✌️
They're not hair scrambles. Hare. Other than that, screw the keyboard warriors 😁 Seriously, you're a badass. Wouldn't let the other people get you down. Definitely helpful for my slow ass. Thanks man, keep it up!
If people only knew the commitment and pain it takes to even get to lorettas let alone obtain your pro license. Johnny you are awesome. From kb500s moto dad!
Hi @Johnny Hopper, have you thought about running the Stark VARG? Since a clutch isn't needed you can select an option for rear brake lever on the bars instead of foot pedal. Great content, thanks for the video!
Johnny ...Tripped on your channel as I am a old dog still trying to learn the same tricks "RIDE WITHOUT GETTING HURT". YOU are a very good teacher, disregard the haters, and focus on teaching. Maybe even consider applying some of the basic techniques to enduro riding on your vid's, as many non racers do not train on a track, but in the woods. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
@@Johnny_Hopper MORE OF US THEN MX ...@CrossTrainingEnduro VIDs are the bulk of quality teaching vids in reference to enduro's, seriousily should consider taking your content and apply it.
I had similar injuries to my femur and knee. Did you get your rods removed? I still have mine in, doc doesn’t think the surgery to remove it is worth it. I’m Curious about your situation. Old video, I know, but figured I’d ask anyways
Great Channel and content! Thanks Johnny! I'll look for you at Lakewood. I'm up in the Vail Valley and never miss a Thunder Valley Race! I raced there before it was a national track. What a lot of these trolls don't realize is some of the best coaches and instructors in any sport have a good eye and good communication skills to help others. It's not all about being the best racer in the world. Keep up the good work Buddy!
Hey man keep up the good work. Dont let the haters get you down. You have a ton of good information on your RU-vid channels. You are a pro in every form of the meaning.
you do all great videos that people can learn something from. with all the riding experience you have and even qualifying for any outdoor national or sx you can consider your self one of the best in the world in my opion.
Dude, I just stumbled upon your channel. I love the videos, I love the content, I love you as a rider, because you keep it real. I race amateur motocross, and have been since I was a kid, but I just want to say keep up the good work, and you definitely have another subscriber, and another fan cheering you on 👌
Please dont listen to the haters. You keep on doing you. Thanks for the information thanks for sharing how hard it was for you. Its important people know that it's not all glory huh.
Hey Johnny, I just stumbled on your channel and subscribed after watching for a few minutes! Thanks for putting out all this useful information. Don't let the Keyboard Warriors get to you! I'll bet those people are watching moto on TV while sucking down suds! I would like to make a video request on mental prep. I have ridden on and off for three decades and have been racing post-vintage moto on and off for a few years now and I know that I can ride better than I have been, but something seems to be holding me back! Thanks!
Damn dude I just discovered your videos and I definitely can hear the frustration in your voice. Sucks that people try to take your hard work and sacrifice from you. Thanks for everything you are doing!
After 10 years I was left with l2 and t11 vertebrae damage broken tib and fib in right foot blood on the brain and many more concussions surgery on my right hand twice broken right shoulder and more. In other words I completely understand where you’re coming from ha it was a blast though.
I hear you brother. I raced to the intermediate class and came up short on a table top and destroyed my wrist on the right arm. So I had to quit racing until my wrist felt strong enough which took a couple years to fully recover after being plated and 13 screws. And I get those comments all the time like “you crashed because you suck” and blah blah blah it just irritates the hell outta me. I didn’t see them on the track.
Hey man, great video. In terms of your foot injury, have you looked into clake products? I think the owner had a similar foot injury which kept him from being able to use the foot brake properly. So he developed a few products to put your clutch and rear brake on the same lever.
fuckutube230 a lot of ppl have been telling me about the rear brake in the handlebar. I will have to check it out. So far I’ve raised my lever all the way up I can push down just not lift up. Thx bro I appreciate the help. 😀😀😀😀
To even make it to a supercross main is nuts. Everyone in there is a pro in what he is doing. It is not about payment. Everyone in there is top of the class in the sport. There are so many racing. This guy would whoop most of them
Is it normal to ride a scooter on the road but have a pro motocross licence? You can try to ride an automatic motocross bike that will take pressure of your leg injury. Thats what I would do anyway. But shirt M but jacket your a L? how does that work?
People will always talk smack and try to bring you down.Love the videos and keep them coming.I ride a yz250f and it is very expensive to maintain but way more fun than a 450...
Love your channel your real that is what is important thanks in a time like like this being an advocate for the sport is huge if and when I make alot of money I will send you alot
Screw these people, I have been racing on and off since 95 and I don't have a quarter of the talent you have from what I have seen in your vids. I'm 42 and would love to do the amateur supercross but after looking into it its hell of expensive and also from injuries I don't want to get on a supercross track I'm just fine racing Grand prix races. Screw these keyboard warriors because over 95 percent have probably never even raced. Go have fun and be safe and screw these clowns. Johnny you kick ass bro!
People just try to hate like your content and I'm 48. Keyboard punks get a life dont trash the content it's good. Keep it up! Dont worry about posers comments as they just dont get it.
I guess the haters dont realize that the pro riders they are familiar with is like the top 0.8% of the pros in the entire world. That means more than 99% of them they have absolutely no clue of....And anybody who has raced at any level knows your qualifications simply by the way you break down the technical aspect of racing. Its pretty obvious actually. Which further shows how uneducated and clueless the haters are. You got atleast close to 10k fans, theres always going to be a few morons. Unfortunately, as humans, we tend to get hung up on the hate more then the love. Dont ever stop doing what your doing, bro.
I’m 3 minutes into your video and I’ve seen more than enough evidence already to know you are/were a pro, so you know what F@&k all the keyboard warriors.
It bothers me to only people that could never get a Pro License in their life that make comments like that. You should learn how to use your heel! I have a similar injury I cant bend my left knee past 90 degrees. I agree I am very proud to be lapped by the best in the world also!
Don't listen to the haters. You have accomplished more than most. On that note I can say I straight up beat Ryan Villopoto. Granted I was in the Pro-Class here in Wa. St. racing an RM-250 in 2000 and he entered the same class on his KX80. Out of 12 riders he finished in 8th I finished third. So I can say I beat him. LOL He was 12 or 13 I was 29.
A pro athlete in motocross knows it’s boundaries, injuries don’t mean your a pro, brother does racing.. some of us.....decide not to race for the sake of the love for the sports! Everyone wants to be a blogger/influencer.....perhaps is best to leave it the actual pros. Be safe and healthy...braaaap😎🏆
I appreciate your videos and anyone who hasn’t completed at your level yet are not gonna take advice from someone that has is a moron. Enjoying your channel mate from 🇦🇺
Your videos are great and any time you have the balls to speak the truth there will be haters. Please don't let these pussy ass trolls bother you. Racing at the professional level is an amazing accomplishment that deserves respect. Keep up the good work!
Im not good in motocross but i want to be pro i dont have a trainer i training alone my from cyprus dont good for motocross where i can go to be proff3sional motocross racer with trainer?
kyproc check out www.dhma.com he was my trainer and is josh Hansen’s father. Donnie was a sx mx and world champ. He trains people all over the world. Let him know your a friend of mine and he will give you a discount.
Back in the mid 80's when I was still racing as a expert or A class rider there was a 2 day pro am race that had alot of bigtime sponsors and alot of pros racing in the 2 day motocross race event and unfortunately for me 3/4 of the riders in my class were pro's and being I was a expert class rider the AMA required me to have a pro license to race with them which the AMA allowed me to obtain only because I was a A CLASS RIDER ! held my own against the pros and managed a 2 overall out of 27 riders in my class .Things were so much different racing then compared to nowdays .with alot of money and bigtime sponsors now in motocross racing the privateers are struggling to just even stay afloat let alone even race which is causing alot of quality racers to have to stay home !! HAVE A 100% BONE STOCK CLASS IN THE SUPERCROSS AND OUTDOOR MOTOCROSS SERIES TO ALLOW ALL RIDERS TO BE ABLE TO FINANCIALLY AFFORD TO RACE !!! More racers means more money and competition for everyone !
Hey what’s up man you seem like a pretty good dude. To hell with what those mother fuckers say. They’re just fucking jealous make no mistake about it. Keep up making these great videos
Thank you Jonny for everything you do! I appreciate your insight and thank you for your expert "pro!!" Advice! Dont play into the pansies leaving comments. They would literally pass out at the stress of a pro gate drop. Haha
Don’t let them bother you. You will always have haters that just means your doing it right. Having said that i would love to come out and race you. Even though you would smoke me lol
I give you shit about how you mess up peoples names or something stupid but I raced for 21yrs and had a pro license for one year myself. Since then i just ride for fun, ended up being a mechanic for a top 15 250 class rider who's riden for Rockstar Husky and I just want to say Johnny is the real deal, Ive seen him race multiple pro races so for people that are trying to dog him out just take his advice and keep that shit to yourself. People BUST ASS and make giant sacrifices to even obtain pro licenses. John is a great example of that. The only people that would dog that are straight assholes who prolly don't even understand what it takes to get one. I'm still going to give homeboy some shit when he say people name wrong but, Keep em coming HOPPERS 😂
Eli_Tomac_Fan 668 I started at three buddy but I know many pros that didn’t begin till 16 17 18 anything is possible. Let me know how I can help you go pro BRAAP
@@Johnny_Hopper yea, it'll be better when I'm 16/17 though because I'll have a job, but local may be my only option at the moment because small country means small competitions (I live in Ireland). I'd have to be in mainland UK or even Europe for the big stuff
I was hoping this video explained how a new rider could work to get a pro license....but instead it is crying about internet comments and fragile egos. What a waste of time.
I dont care about filling out the forms i came here to see what it takes as a amature to be considered for a pro licence what amature races do you need to enter what do your results need to be etc
@@Johnny_Hopper i just looked at the link heaps of info but dosent actually tell you how to get a pro licence like amature races to attend results needed to be considered for a pro licence its more about registration and money ect i havent watched all your vids but id be keen to see a vid of your journey say from 85cc and onward what races did you do on what bike what class your results of your last amature year why you decided to go pro and a look at your career from your point of veiw i love privateer stories
Still don’t get y any RU-vidr or anyone takes offense to the comment section? And anyone talking shit not worth responding to , I learned that after winning the real life first mortal combat tournament , I still see all my opponents faces at night when I close my eyes ,
Nobody wants to hear from dumb people who like to write comments calling people fake and how would you feel if you spent most of your life working for something and people say it’s fake
