Thank you! Gave me the confidence to dose my dog. She's post op and not eating so my usual of hiding them in some tuna wasn't an option. Smeared my finger with peanut butter so her instinct was to swallow.
Thanks for this. My dog is currently on a heart medication pill recently that she can't take with food and Ive have been struggling getting her to take it as I've always been able to use food trickery. Will do this with her morning medication!
I give Bonnie a small piece of hot dog and the next piece will have half the pill and so on. I like the idea of crushing it with a hammer first. I may even get my nerve up and use the direct approach as you did. Thanks for the video!
Tried this on my dog, and as the doctor says, Calm is the key. She swallowed it widout any trouble. I followed it wid some treat so the pill definitely went down her throat
Not my dog. She spits up her Tramdol no matter how I hide it. I've tried pill pockets, peanut butter, ground up into powder, hidden in food. I just bought a pill gun and she spit it up too.
