Yes! Love the way you break down the decor styles , and how you refer to alternative options for economy and practicality! 🌷💕🌷 cheers from Idaho USA ! I’m currently working on my own eclectic English cottage style , estate sale items, thrift, and a few modern new pieces.. Nesting season!
I've been searching for RU-vid videos who are focused on romantic decorating. I'm starting a new side hobby/business in my area and I always knew this is what I wanted to focus on. Thank you for explaining the name of the style I love best: Romantic Academia....perfect. :)
Very nice presentation, although not an aesthetic I'm comfortable with (too feminine, I think). That being said, the English Regency really is the best of all periods. Regency and George IV pieces are not just stand-alone gorgeous, but they can work with just about any interior style. Just a single piece will class-up even the boring of rooms. I have two black Regency side chairs from Baker (reproductions from the early 90s) that I bought from Habitat's ReStore for 150 a piece. I probably cherish them more than anything I own, and they weren't really that expensive (considering the brand). So yes... when in doubt, go for Regency!
I know its not interior design related but can you do a curly girl hair care and style routine? I've straightened my hair my whole life and and am just now at 31 trying to understand and love my curly hair. Love yours vids 💓 thank you! 🙂
Thank you for saying that!🥺 I only went back to my curly natural hair during lockdown lol (we always go back to our curls don't we?😆) I can do a reel on my Instagram🤗 Also look up the YT channel: Manes By Mell- I follow Amanda's curly hair routine. I hope that helps and thanks again🥰
I have a lot of these elements mixed with other things. I have one of those desks I use as bedside table, tons of teacups, original paintings bought from the thrift stores that beginning artists have discarded, all the doilies made by mine and my husbands grandmothers and more. A lot of things are put away because we have kids and grandkids living with us.
Nooooo, get them back out! 😆 Very beautiful design style and I'm sure you have a pretty home Melanee🤗 I'm a sucker for collecting blue teacups & mugs (Laszlo despairs) 🤣
@@dantierandbalogh oh, don't worry. I have plenty out. I'm definitely a romantic maximalist. I do need to rotate things that have been packed for too long. Now that little grands who live with me are 6 and 9 and my 16 yr old can drive himself so I'm not chauffering every day I'll have a bit more time. P.S. thanks for the comment. We've had a bumpy last few years and I'm looking forward to new horizons.
@@dantierandbalogh you would love the blue China set given to me by a friend. I keep it in my small front living room with floor to ceiling pictures, piano and bookcases.
Hi Eric! I will be doing a question and answer video soon- as a loyal commenter, would you like to ask us any interior design OR personal questions too? I am trying to make the Q&A have more of a chatty feel :) Let me know!
@@dantierandbalogh I'm very interested in Historical Interior Design Ideas... Dark Ages, Renaissance, Industrial, Asian, Arabic, Tuscan, Greek etc. My main focus is on Fantasy Medieval Decor (English Tudor) similar to Witcher, Daggerfall, and ESO and would like a Video on that. I would also like if you could do an Estimate Pricing Guide for Each Room per House. As like most Fans I'm on Tight Budget?
Another great video, Jacqueline!! I'm watching a second time over. I have just purchased a 'Californian Bungalow' style home, originally built in 1920, and am dreaming of decorating in this style 💐
Omg that sounds amazing! Architecture in Californian bungalows are beautiful! So different from UK architecture😅 Also, I will be doing a Q&A soon- as a loyal commenter, would you like to ask us any interior design OR personal questions too? I am trying to make the Q&A have more of a chatty feel :) Let me know! 💖
@@dantierandbalogh You read my mind! I'm brainstorming my first episode in the new house - bedroom makeover - and I keep thinking of questions for you! I will narrow it down to 3 questions and get back to you! I have so many 🥰🥰🥰
This was very enjoyable and inspiring! I’m currently redoing my bedroom in the Dark Academia style. Will you be making a video about Dark Academia? I’d really love to hear your input and spin on that decor style.
Thank you Susan🤗🙏 You know what, it's crazy because I just binned that idea (dark academia) yesterday! But since you mentioned it, it does seem like there is an interest, so YES I will be doing it☺️Spooky timing right?😅 I thought it could be part of my autumn video collection as the aesthetic fits quite nicely 🍁🍂☕📚
@@dantierandbalogh Awesome! It’s growing more popular here in the states from what I’m seeing and hearing. Your spin on design is always well informed, historically framed and referenced for culture and art. Very helpful and creative. Keep it up--I’ve been sharing your channel because I think it’s excellent! I’m in Coastal San Diego county and we don’t really get seasons but I LOVE Autum and being cozy. Thank you!
