The Best way in 🇹🇭 to trravel is still the Bus from Akamai 999. At the Busstation you get good Thai food an cold drinks. Fresh fruits, and Snacks to a decent price...

take the bus from Airport is the best method .esp. the bus has the priority to get on the ferry boat , or you have to wait on the long line at pier area

If you're spending the night in Trat then going to the port the next day, there really isn't a difference between the two. If coming from BKK, Krom Luang is the better port.

For times I've found www.busonlineticket.co.th/booking/bangkok-to-koh-chang-bus-tickets to be a reliable resource while still purchasing tickets at the kiosk. According to Google the Eastern Bus Terminal address is 53,55,57 ซอยเอกมัย 23 ถนนสุขุมวิท Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110

No, the VIP buses are operated by various companies that have their own pickup and drop-off points.
