Another response that works is “why do you ask?” They’ll immediately get defensive and give a bs reason, then say “I appreciate your curiousity, how’s your day going?”
I can imagine! I loathe instrusive questions… that is why I operate on the principle; “if you don’t share why, I won’t ask” (not in all situations of course)
Very true. Unfortunately people who ask nosey questions are usually fishing for material to gossip about, or trying to find some angle to insert their unwanted opinions into your life! Or if it’s in a corporate office aka hell, they’re trying to find ways to throw you under the bus when it comes time for a promotion. Learning how to gracefully dodge these questions is such an important skill . Love the video.
