As a casual player getting started with grinding this was really useful information, I always saw other videos with people with lots of buffs but never knew what was really going on. Now it's time to see the viability of doing all those potions and elixirs... really appreciate the content!
The potions and elixirs are definitely not as necessary as those people make it seem. For grinding I pop my tent buff, a simple cron meal, and an immortal beast drought. Which is just the hour long version of the beast drought. And then I run loot scrolls like everyone else. Without monster damage buffs in my skill rotation, all the other draogjts people use, and no black star weapons, I pull 400 mil an hour casually solo in places like elvia bloody monastery.
I've been playing this game on and off for about 4 years and I watched this entire video just because of how well made it is. Really great job! Good Luck on BDO Partner!

This was a very well executed video! I learned quite a bit from this even though I felt like I knew quite a bit to begin with. If you haven't made a video on it, I saw someone comment on how it was hard to level up at the beginning and I have noticed grinding characters up that certain places are better at lower levels for a BIG boost in xp. For example, hitting the swamp nagas while lvl 20 to really jump your xp to 30-35. This would be an informative video for beginners to have.
I usually go Cron Castle to 30 then Owls to 40 and Trolls to 48 then Catfish to 50+. After that I do Manes and Helms and then just do main QL. 0 to 56 takes about a day.

Good video! A few quick additions from the top of my head that might be good to know for new players: 1. you have a drop rate, a drop amount and an exp buff cap so dont overcap your buffs. (tho the exp cap is rly hard to track so yeah dont worry too much about it) 2. yellow + aegis isnt always best in slot. Some spots run better with only yellow or blue + aegis. So make sure to always check out spots before going there. 3. Maybe you wanna look into what rotations there are in general so you dont have to make up one by yourself and with that cutting 2 rotations at ones. 4. Crystals matters alot for pve ... alot of people run around with full human dmg crystals cuz they are rly decent for pvp ( same goes for kutum i feel like this is kinda obvious) 5. Your horse gear can buff you too if you have a horse gear set buff 6. Like Felipe said already knowing your class is important, but I wanna point out how important it is to constantly buff up during your grind! Dont forget about your 100% skill+ buff this will make a huge difference in trash per hour. 7. Do back attacks and cc mobs as much as you can it helps with clearing speed. I bet there are still like a billion different things to mention and to consider so you will never learn out. Maybe a last tipp: PvE is the perfect spot to get to know your pvp. So if you need to practice a combo but dont wanna stay in ba the whole day, why not try it on some mobs. :)
Thanks for the Item drop amount and drop rate explanations. I didn’t know what my friend was talking about and we’re like really stupid so when we explain things we both get confused. I also didn’t know that all church buffs can be popped together, never tried before but I always just grabbed xp during xp events. I shall also be popping Spirit perfume, never really use them but maybe I should since I’m about to hit 289K AP. I haven’t ventured away from Centaurs because my dp is low and I don’t feel like losing my crystals.

Yo what a great video! But a big thing you left out that people need to know is the item drop rate and amount caps.. That way they're not wasting buff thinking they can go infinitely high.. I didn't hear you talk about them so I thought I would give you heads up.
This was great! Just a quick comment I think you forgot to tell people what to do once they are done grinding and their horse has 15K+ mob loot on it. I usually put all the items on myself, then auto path or run back to town to sell. But you didn't provide any solution. Great video!

How do you see all those mob grind spot and ap requirements on the map itself? @2:10.. Ohh and for the record you can also exchange energy with black spirit, for 20% combat xp 30 min.. And when you show profit do not forget to substract the 60 mil cost of your camp buffs and also 30 mil church buff and all other buff costs.. That being said I think 50 mil for the villa buffs, is a bit to much to pay upfront considering the total revenue - 10 mil per camp buff seems more reasonable in my balanced point of view.. Also the villa scroll body 60 min is cheaper than 300 min when only grinding one hour but also if you buy 60 min x 5 its still 50% cheaper than 300 min.. =D I also wonder if grinding with party has benefits since elixirs do have party coverage - the follow up question would be, if the whole party can enter Marni realm to grind one hour together in the private instance? On the map you can click on the mob icon over each grind spot to pull up that menu. You are right there are times where the 50 mil silver tent buff isn't worth it but if that 50 mil makes you 100 mil silver in return I would pop it. I believe marni zones can have parties in them if you wanted to group grind undisturbed
This game is hella grinding so we players take a long break because we get burn out on grinding for silver. The market is so broken and expensive that most players can't afford it unless they spend real money to buy stuff in Pearl shop items n sell it in the market. I'm on the piont where my items in the market that I want is like 45-120 billion silvers to buy gears, that's where I quit black desert online.
11:19 Just a small correction, while you can have multiple tier 5 pets, you can only set one as the "Alpha pet" (which gives 15% increase loot speed to all other summoned pets), so you only really need one T5!
@@kasgr9034 theres a quest that allows you to do that , requirements are : lvl 60+ character , make sure life quests are enabled , tier 4 pet that is level 10, magical shard x40 , 600m silver for growth reagent and Fine Lightweight Plume x800. Quest name is " Quest → Suggested → “[Pet] Domesticated Squabbles”.

o my gosh, so helpful. Im a new player and have been having a hard time grinding and trying to gain levels. Its also nice to see a video thats not an hour long. The sections are quick and concise, and entertaining to watch. Plus the music was nice. Subscribed!
Step 1. Start season character. Step 2. Complete Season and Season Pass Step 3. Get full PEN Tuvala Step 4. Timepiece to a Musa or Berserker Step 5. Grind Centaurs until your brain is smooth as granite.

VERY VERY GOOD!!! Learned a lot. Now for my dumb question... which class is best for grind for Money and AOE? I like Mystic Suc, Guardian, Maehwa, Musa and thinking about Striker, but do not like his pre-awaken play style)
It still depends on what spots you are grinding, Succ Mystic is similar to Striker and both are good in places where the monsters are tanky. If you are grinding in places where you one shot (Centuars or Pot Piece); I would recommend Musa or Mae or any class that moves extremely fast
Great guide, will help many new players :) since u already provided in-deapth information like elexir rotations, u could have mentioned house buffs too. They are a great addition to the buffs u named for grinding, especially the 15 AP or Accuracy. And dont forget to pick up Caroline buff for 10% crit damage!
Yeah I agree they can be huge, I personally struggle getting real use out of the Caroline Buff since it lasts 30 mins but house buffs are such good value for how much they cost to set up
@@SPKZ_1 well if u are starting to buff for your grind in heidel anyways, it wont harm to just pick up the buff even if u arrive at the spot with just 25 mins left. 10% crit dmg is still quite neat to start your grind with. u'll notice the damage increase. Im not saying get caroline for each single hour ure grinding no matter where u grind, but if ure close by I'd just take it.

Hi, very nice video I wish I had that at my start :P Short addition to what you explained in the buff section: Whenever you can maintain high back attack uptime you actually gain more dmg through exquisite cron meal and giants drought as the multiplicative dmg buff will be better than the higher flat ap from frenzy and simple cron meal.
Clean English good voice and clear instructions, just what the BDO yt scene lacked imo. Keep grinding it and make sure you know what you are talking about before making a video and you'll kill it
good video - however you kinda forgot about the part that FPS = DPS, running 60 fps would mean u do way less damage than 144 fps and that affects grinding a lot, as well as Death and perforation elixir for grinding, other than that seem quite correct
bruh i had no idea about the item droprate lightstone combinations, at first i was like "theres nothing i wont know but ill watch anyways". Item droprate is my THANG!!
if you make a guide on how to grind without wasting your time, it's simply false to say that every class is good at grinding. some are so beyond others, they straight up pull 50% more trash loot per hour than an average or bad class (e.g. maegu or succ war at primal giants). the joke is that some of these extremely broken classes are very easy to learn and if you truly wanna min/max your grind, you gotta tag one of those and go to work with it.
This is the reason why I wont continue playing bdo. I will never understand why bdo/pearl abyss insists on making such a ludicrious amount of temporary buffs. It feels awfull because u always feel there's something missing etc. Just no-

I don’t understand the grind because fighting the same ppl over and over again in PvP and PVE is just an occupational therapy. I played for so long and still didn’t finde a reason to get more and more stronger except for PVP. It’s a good game no doubt bit it’s a sandbox. Just my own opinion and no Hate or anything else.
You know what I will give you props for admitting the game has p2w, unlike many bdo creators. Its as if they will go back on their spendings and stab them in the back if they admit the game is p2w. If you love being a whale in games, thats on you, some folks choose to spend their money else where. Just kinda sad when you cant admit it, so even though I hate BDO and its always been a game I play on and off cause of how the game is, you got my like for just admitting to the p2w mechanics of the game.

Great video. My wife and I both have 10k hours on bdo( lots of afk fishing/horse training). Unfortunately BDO has this ....shhhhh don't tell people how to be successful approach. Play what class you have fun with the meta sweaty chasers will always do well but remember to have fun thats most important. Keep making videos! These are a great way to get new people interested.

I played world of Warcraft for about 14-15 years. I am now 25. I’ve been looking for a nice console mmo to play with my gf and though this seems intricate and complicated at times, I’m excited to start playing my wizard. I’ve tried bdo before but never tried anything other than warrior and I didn’t get very high level, then, at all. Maybe lvl 14? 20? But I think the game is more intuitive and beginner friendly than it’s ever been. Nice video. Very well done.

I mean this popped up in my suggested videos and I'm going to be honest. Very outstanding job on the content but shitty choice of content choice for an actual game lol. I honestly don't see why people still play this RUBBISH it's junk. Literally lets spend 10000 hours grinding to make 0 significant progress. Yeah makes 100% sense, not to mention the drops aren't guaranteed..... I've watched people grind blood wolves for the pot peice for years and still not walk away with it LOL. That alone just tells me the system overall is broken. There's too many flawed mechanics in this game. That's exactly why I'm waiting for a new MMORPG experience and giving up completely on this junk. Let's also whale the pearls and see what we can get..... Never heard of artifacts yet and agris fever. I keep collecting it but dont know what to do with it. I probably dont have the quest yet (even though i have a lvl 57 main and lvl 58 season character) dang there is so much in this game.... all for 2 playstyles. Life and combat. But most of that combat is just mindless tapping. I like this game. But dang they like to make it tedious
My problem is I know im grinding 100% wrong and proboly is not the most efficient but I honestly don´t care if I make 1mill silver a minute for 60k silver a minute. If I need something that drops I grind for it and it takes how ever long it takes. The moment I start to minmax to grind correctly the game stops being fun and becomes a second job and a second job is the least I want when playing games. It´s a well made video for sure so me commenting is pointless becuse im not that type of player that care about perfect rotation. Still felt I had to add my taught on it that maybe being 100% efficient is not really that important as long as your having fun right ?

I'm a returning player on Xbox uhm I just wanted to say I do believe there is an xp buff that your black spirit can provide but you gotta use I think energy per day to get the buff? I could be wrong don't qoet me. But it might be useful. Im Just not sure if that buff will stack with others you mentioned. Keep up the good work man.
I feel like 5k hours is nothing. I have like 14k hours and have only been playing for like 1.5 years, most of it consisted of semi afk life skilling. That is the biggest selling point of BDO - there are so many ways to play the game and to enjoy it how you want to enjoy it. So saying that 90 % of the game is based around grinding is just plain wrong. 11:18 as far as I know you can only have one T5 alpha pet and getting other pets to T5 actually does not increase any of their stats
We will be grinding hundreds of thousands of hours? My guy, how many hours do you think are in a year? There are 419k hours in a lifetime. You think we're going to spend half of our lives grinding on black desert?
I hate this game so much, because to progress you require a lot of RNGesus and failing means you regress which has killed my motivation to play this shitty game further. Then you can't even do content until yo8u get lucky with RNG did I mention Computers can not do random? Such a shitty system and why I honeslty hate asian games.
Got black desert for free on psn, usually consoles have to pay and after watching some guides I'm like nope, that's some serious time investment needed, got a family now, maybe when I was 20 lol

Drop rate is over rated on console, with over 2500% drop rate, super high luck and a max node, you can grind at stars end for 8 hrs without getting a single black distortion is normal, i just did it, with a much higher drop rate than that
BDO has so much content and dead end content that its just too overwhelming to read up on it all. I'm not sure about other players, but the single reason I started playing this game is its amazing combat you can't seem to find in other mmo's.
Theres just way too many buffs... just becomes tedious and annoying to manage every damn thing everytime you want to grind, and feel like your missing out massively if your missing one or a few of them.. they really need to rebloat this shit and combine some buffs, or make them easier to acquire/buy.
What players need isn't how to grind, but what to grind for. The game is all about grinding for the sake of grinding. There's no actual content. It seens the game is still active that PVP is still a thing in other countries, but the korean server is pretty much dead when it comes to the amount of new players each months that a fair PVP isn't really an option unless you've been playing the game since at least few years ago.
Such a great guide. Im a brand new player and all everyone talks about is how important grinding is and where to go but when you get there and youre not making the progress or the amount people said you would its really difficult to understand why!
Do never compare yourself to others when it comes to how much trash/money/drops you make off a grindspot. That will only frustrate you since most videos doesnt show the truth. If you wanna grind full focused without blinking you might expect better results, cause you will miss less skill rotations and optimize your movimentation, but most of the time you just wanna chill grind with a cool background music and that's what make this game fun and tolerable. Grinding like your life depends on it works only on youtube videos to make good impression to others. :) I hope you find you way of fun on BDO!

You can start by uninstalling the game and being responsible with you money. Why grind for fake money while you could be on the grind for that real bread. Seriously this game is ass.
