I use these with my G27. That used to be the gun I most regretted buying. After I found the x grips, now I actually love it. On my G42 and G43, I use the Strike Industries +2 base plates.
I've been using X-grips on a G26 with G19 mags for 12 years, today when I went to the range, one of the first X-grips that I ever purchased actually split down one side.. I would say that 12 years is an awesome life cycle for this product!!! I ordered 2 more when I got home.
I carry both. The 43 is more of my summer gun. The 26 is my winter gun. The beauty of both guns is how easy they conceal. I carry bigger mags as backup.
I think that is the way most of us do it. I reserve the larger mah with the X-grip as a back up. Thank God I have never needed to use the first mag. I want it to stay that way.
Have these for my G30 using G21 mags. And they make a huge difference. Have some G30 mags without as true emergent back-ups. The XGrips make a huge difference in accuracy and comfort even in just handling the gun!
I almost exclusively carry a 43x as my daily driver now, but I still carry the 26 sometimes. I have always had Xgrip'ped G19 or G17 mags as my backup mags with it. I usually don't "carry" the 26 with them, though - it's harder to conceal (for me), and when I feel the need to carry that combination, I usually just switch to my G19. The 26's greatest strength is the short grip, IMO, with the ability (eg spare mag) to shoot the higher cap mags.
I put Pearce Grip PG-26 Magazine Grip Extentions on my Gen 4 Glock 26 mags. Then I saw these. I see em' as an option, but I like practicing fast reloads. Nice option, though. Semper Fi.
This is a great item but makes the grip for G26 the same length as a G19. I found that your product, the Heavy Extended Aluminum Magazine Base Plate, gives room for the pinky while keeping the grip short enough to easily conceal. These base plates are really nice, though a little pricey. I enjoy your videos.
I carry my Glock 43 sparingly now because I upgraded to the 43X MOS with 15 shield arms magazines and a Holosun 507k green. I must admit, though the 43 still has its place, just not terribly often if conceal ability is the number one concern, then sure. It’s just really hard only getting 6+1 capacity. Shame on Glock for not increasing the capacity.
@@Gieszkanne Finally, someone else who gets it. Bigger, more capacity adds more size and weight. In the summer I carry my 43 in a pocket holster, when wearing shorts. For years, back in my law enforcement days, a 5 round snub nose revolver was standard off duty carry. Then again........back then guys actually knew how to shoot lol. Nowadays in their shooter scenario fantasy, it's spray and pray, while trying not to spill the soy latte.
@@randallflores-qr8cs Its also the LEOs. They dont do pray and spray (sometimes even them) but I observed a lot of mag dumps when I see bodycam videos. As long you dont live in a high crime area or ghetto its unnecessary. NutnFancy once reported a story in one of his videos where a female off duty cop where at a hairdresser when 3 robbers came in. She only had a 5 shot snubby and killed two and wounded one. So its possible. With the +2 Magguts, which is almost flush fit you have 9 shots!
Which x grip did u get for the g17 15 rd ? I just ordered a g17 15 rd gen 4 mag. And I want to buy an x grip. But there is 2 sizes. Idk which one I need ?
@@MatteBlk300C5.7 I don't think you can get a x grip for a Glock 17. Since it's a full size. My Glock 26 has a 17 round mag plus three so that's the only reason why I was able to use the x grip. Now if you did a 30 round mag lol you might be able to get something on there
I may have to check those out. How are they when you release the mag? Sometimes the xgrip doesnt drop and i have to use my support hand to take it out, drop it, and reload. When time is of the essence it can be problematic. Does the brand you mention have the same issue when dropping and empty mag? Like it sticks to your hand?
I would love to add a Glock 26 to my collection but the flush fit magazine always pinches my pinkie and ring finger due to recoil. Do you think a Glock 19 magazine with the X-grip would remedy that? Thank you!
Too much reliance on the pinkie doesn't work for Hickok45 - nor for me. Try Gee-Plates on the G26 10 round mags and let the pinkie drift under the floor plate - rock solid!
I carry a G48 and that accomplishes what you're trying to do with the G43 with the X grip and ets mag. Or even the G43X. If you bought the G43 for the purpose of being a micro carry, then you carry it the way it is intended. Trying to change it's design purpose by making it larger, then get a larger gun
I had bought an XD9 subcompact over the Glock 26 because the XD9 came with factory mags set up like the Xgrip (trade off being you can't take the thing off) however now that I know about these, I may have to buy a couple for my Glock 23 Gen 5 to run some Glock 22 mags
Magguts has a +2 system. A +1 follower and a +1 baseplate that is just slightly thicker than the regular. Than you have 8+1 with almost the same height as the normal 6+1 mag.
These also help the feeding. If you put a 19/17 mag in a 26 and really grip tight you can cause nose dives during cycling without the xgrip(there's other sleeves... But they suck)
I sometimes carry a G19 and my spare mag is a G17 mag with the +2 extension. I don't use the X-grip for the sole reason of pinching my hand. Even though a G19 pretty much gives me a full grip in my hand, I have on occasion felt a bit of an overflow on the bottom a bit and since the X grip is meant to fill in the space, it can pinch me if I am not thinking about it. For a G26, you can practice with sticking a longer mag and work with the less than optimal grip because you already are most likely carrying the G26 with a pinky extension on it. I don't understand people who carry their G26 with the grip extension mag. It defeats the purpose of the design, a small compact gun that is concealable. Adding extra length on the grip takes away the purpose and at the point, you should get a larger gun if you plan on carrying it like that
@@scottcalvert2537 Absolutely! Something about the "hump" on the g26 frame along with the xgrips on a g19 mag make the g26 just feel right in the hand and also helps make the g26 shoot even smoother and more accurate to me than my g19.
@@rappernikmak the handle is about roughly the same size as the g19, the slide is slightly shorter which is what i really liked. I carry appendix so the slide length of the 26 feels better than the G19 when i would be driving and the handle/grip would still conceal pretty well. Since i wrote this comment, i've pretty much only carried a G19 or G45 and the G26 is more of a nightstand pistol at this point.
If you focus on gripping the xgrip hard than you will move the mag while firing and cause malfuntions..I have a xgrip 17 on my glock 26 but the best thing to do is focus as if you only had the flush mag in.than you will have no problems
Thank you for the awesome video I like the glock 26 and the glock 43 I own an all black glock 43x with rubber texture talon grips and ameriglo Spartan night sights I love it
On the Glock 26, the grip situation is easily and best solved by swapping out the mag baseplate with a Pearce PG-26 that perfectly accommodates your pinky and allows for a perfect grip.
Get some #39 o-rings from ace hardware put it on the mag under the xgrip to keep the xgrip from sliding down and having a gap it works and feels great.
@@lagoonlane take your mag to the hardware store and see if you can double check the O-ring on your mag. I just got more #39 o-rings sent to me today and now these are too big for the mag so i dont know if they sent me the wrong ones or not but wanted you to be aware of that.
They should have made it attach to the bottom of the grip somehow rather than having it attach to the magazine. The way this is designed, you need a separate x-grip for each magazine. That's an additional cost of 16 dollars per magazine. How much is a glock mag? Like 22-30 bucks? That's between a 53% and 73% increase in cost per magazine if you get an x-grip for each one. That is pretty substantial. And that's while there's a holiday sale going? Jeez.
That’s essentially what a G19 is, the Glock 26 was essentially designed as a cut down 19… the only thing that I would say is the 26 is more of a “shrunk down” version than a “cut down” version as the slide on the 19 is about an inch longer
Cheap defective parts sold with 30 day only return policy. Glockstore would not replace or return my defective spring for my Glock 43. Said it took me too long to test it. Good luck with their low quality accessories and parts. I expected more quality and support from them; especially on an $80 defective part.
I have the 43, also have sn XGrip with an ets mag. Just wish you guys offered oem extended magazines for the 43. I understand they are meant for maximum concealment but even an 8 rounder would be sufficient
A better idea would have been to make a grip extension for the pistol so you didn't have to buy one for every magazine or worry about pinching your hand slamming the magazine home with urgency, thereby ending up with a bloodblister and an unseated magazine. Some of us having been waiting three decades for Glock to introduce compact large frame pistols, a Glock 19 in 10mm/.45. They'd rather introduce superfluous, frivolous, redundant 9mms than address the one glaring hole in their lineup, so we are stuck with subcompact 29/30, and two finger tea cup grip shooting Norma spec 10mm. If there was a grip extension that fit on the pistol, that would be a pragmatic solution. Putting something on every one of your magazines and still dealing with the short grip? Not so much. Swing and a miss.
The X-grip allows you to make your G26 the G19 that you should have purchased in the first place. Lol It is insane how people buy nano-micro guns just to add all kinds of aftermarket stuff that make sometimes that gun bigger than compact size guns.
Actually i prefer the g26's shorter slide over the g19 slide. I just wanted a g19 frame and capacity with a g26 slide. I don't know what it is but for me pistols like the g45/19x and the g26 with xgrips just seem more comfortable for me to shoot.
That's true, but He also gave us the option to keep the 26 in our rotation with the ability to use our 19 and 17 mags, for those bigger battles we might be called to participate in, where we need to stealth of the short grip and slide, but to be able to transition upwards. 😊
I did this with my 42 and the mag doesn't fit right I have to push harder to get it to seat. I'm looking for a better options, I'm going to try and sand the sleeve down a bit.
I've had problems with the xgrip interfering with the mag seating properly. After a few days at the range there were enough issues for me to not feel confident with this on my carry pistol.
Even though I'm not too fond of Glock these days, don't be gentle with the gun, she like it rough. Always give the mags a firm smack in the bottom, it's just automatic with any mag on any gun now. Never had an issue with Glock mags sitting properly with or without Xgrips
@@ldope3904 I'm definitely not gentle. I found almost all QOL features to hinder a glocks performance. The Xgrip has a tendency to Ride up the grip causing a multitude of problems. Though they are rare, they still pose an additional challenge. I put about 300-500 rounds down range a week. I I would be willing to try them again if I still carried a compact, but that's not the case anymore.
Do you have any partners/retailers in Europe who sell products from Glockstore? I'm very interested in Tungsten Guide Rod for G19. Shipping from US is quite a big hassle due to the laws... If they'd be available in EU, that'd be half the hassle. Thanks
I wonder why they don't make ones that fit earlier generations? There are far more of them out there. Is it because they want you to buy Gen 5 magazines from them also?
@@glocksNgrippers I know the slide is shorter, but does adding the grip extension make the grip the same length as the 19? or is it still smaller? Im on the fence about getting a 26, wondering if I should just carry my 19 or get a 26.
@@SG-cb6xg i just compared the 2 the grip on the 26 is the same as the 19 only difference is the slide length. For me i carry iwb appendix and like the 26 just a little bit better than the 19 and i am a fan of bigger grips with shorter slides like the g19x/g45. It all comes down to personal preference and you won't go wrong with either gun. I think if you already have a 19 i wouldnt go out and get a 26 unless you like shorter slides. I just feel a little more comfortable shooting the g26 with the xgrip but that is just me.
Great video. What is the fit of the X-Grip like when you use it on a 26 Gen 4 with an 18-round mag by ProMag. Will the Grip fit properly or will there be a slight gap between the top of the grip and the body of the gun?
