@@SamoyedLife I have had 2 rescue samoyeds in the past. Beautiful dogs and wonderful personalities. Both were around 5 when I got them, so have never had a puppy. My gosh he's gorgeous! Might look for a new puppy. Where did you get him? Obviously from a registered and ethical groomer.⚘💖🎈
I don't think I'll ever be able to own a different breed. I feel like once you're a Sammy person, that's it, it's a life sentence. My Teddy is the best thing that's ever happened to me 💕
I thought I would never appreciate or love a dog as much as I do my samoyed, but then I adopted my american pitbull terrier 😁 I just wish my samoyed was younger so he could keep up with my pitbull's energy 🥲 crazy, right? I never knew there was a breed that could be more energetic than a samoyed lol
I have a doberman She is afraid of a lot of things.... Here is the list: - rain - thunder - my dad (don't worry she is just scared because he gives her baths) - water - wind - open windows - etc. What she isn't afraid of: - my mom - ice - me And no she isn't a puppy... Edit: my doberman passed away last March. Sorry I didn't update it-
*has dog that is scared of taking baths*. *takes to the groomer who probably doesn't care as much about your dog and would probably tramatize your dog from baths even further*. I dont understand the logic...
@@108wee I assure you, it's in the groomers best interest to destress the dogs as much as possible lol. It's MUCH easier to work with a dog to make them calm than to try and bathe a dog while stressed. A stressed dog scratches, bites, and yells. So yeah, the logic is, bring the dog to someone who knows how to work with animals and does it for a living. Pretty sound logic.
I think it's funny how everyone is criticizing how he grooms his dog when im pretty sure he's done research on the best way to get it done and takes in concideration what's good for his dog. Is everyone here a vet or professional groomer?
Kaiya 。。I think he does perfect with the grooming, with Samoyed you also need to be very careful with their fur too and he did a beautiful job at this.
Just quit my job to become a full time Photographer. My goal is to be able to support my family working from home and to get the dog I've wanted for 20 years! Watching this is keeping me motivated! What a gorgeous pup!
I have 1 samoyed but I have 6 new different cuties so I'm satisfied for meow we'll be giving the pups away soon I hope they'll be happy in their new homes
Look at that precious face @ 7:39. OMG!!!.....Simba is such a fitting name for this Samoyed puppie. He is just way to cute. Words can't describe him enough. Watching Simba and his antics especially when digging in the garden and showing his muddy face is the cutest. Love you Simba.
Omg...I absolutely love you....you are so kind, empathic, and loving with your dog. I wish more people were as kind to their dogs as you are. Lovely video and such an adorable puppy!
I'm waiting for a little boy Samoyed and I'm so excited. I'm already watching RU-vid videos on how best to groom and train him and all that fun stuff. Thanks so much for this video. 💗
Great job! As a groomer, I can say that ordinary ppl don't know that pet parents need to use the correct tearless shampoo or the correct brush to use (use metal comb to double check for matts in the 2nd layer of coating ). Thank you for doing your research on how to properly groom your pet and making your future groomer/bather happy if you ever book an appt for such a well behave pup!!
Advice from a groomer: brush BEFORE the bath, start with a slicker brush and then move to a comb. Then wash. When you wash a dog like a Samoyed that has impacted or matted fur, it is important to get that excess hair our first. This way the dog will get much cleaner, and avoid skin problems like hot spots which occur from not rinsing properly. (shampoo will get stuck in those locks of fur)
"impacted OR matted" I see lots of impacted hair, its quite obvious by the separation and "chunking" if the fur that you see in the first clip of the puppy in the tub.
also brushing out mats and tangles before baths makes it easier to get them out because the water will tighten them which isn't great, especially if they are close to the skin.
hey old comment i know, but in case you see this would you recommend this same strategy for golden retriever fur? my dog doesn’t have nearly as much hair but very thick in certain areas. thank you :)
My girlfriend and I want to get a Samoyed so I'm trying to get as much information about taking good care of them as I can to make sure we're prepared and this is actually helping a lot! Simba is such a good boy, I know plenty of dogs who wouldn't be nearly as relaxed. You're absolutely amazing with him!
I agree with everyone else... MORE! I can't wait to see what you upload next. Im pretty sure I am obsessed and in love with Samoyed's. And I like your video. Perfect combo.
Such an exceptionally well behaved puppy, especially for his first bath! I wish RU-vid had existed way back when I got my Siberian husky. Videos like this would have been extremely helpful. Such a cute, fuzzy floof-ball! ❤
Samoyed Life - oh, thanks so much for this. What a dear little fella. Such a gorgeous floofy cuddle bear. I love this breed, so gentle, patient and even tempered. And he has a very loving, sensible dad. They both do. Thank you for giving these sweet, beautiful darlings such a wonderfully caring, loving home. Lovely to see.
Now this is a good dog owner, you clearly know what you’re doing when it comes to your dog and his behaviour. Good job! I don’t know the last time I saw someone this engaged and educated since Caesar Milan.❤️
Everyone forgetts to put a towel in the bathtub first, dogs, cats and so on don't like the bath, because its slippery. If you have trouble with them standing still, use a towel. It helpes a lot. c:
oh I never thought of that! my whole house is tiled and it bothers my little 8month red heeler puppy Cx do you think a nonslip mat will do the same thing?
Thank you so much for this video! It gave me such great happiness. I don’t have a dog and I don’t think I’ll be getting one anytime soon. Watching videos of people like you who love and care for their puppies gives me joy! I love simba! Lots of love from India! ♥️ P.S- this is the first ever video of yours that I’ve watched and I freaked out in the end when I saw one more Samoyed!!!
Yes please post more videos this was soo useful!! Researching Samoyeds like hell and been going to Samoyed shows for years....we are finally getting our puppy March 2018 🇬🇧 a boy. 😍😍great tips...what a beautiful boy ❤️❤️🇬🇧✨
I have volunteered at a dog rescue centre for years and as much as I love those dogs I want my own puppy. Which I am getting from an approved Kennel Club breeder and I want the full experience as a first time dog owner. If you want to adopt be my guest just don't force YOU'RE opinions on someone else!!
