Happy Friday beautiful people! I'm super excited to share my long awaited dog grooming tutorial on Banks! I gave you all a quick run through on my IG stories last month, but I'd been wanting to sit down and really share why I do what I do when it comes to making Banks look his best. I wish I groomed my dog at home when he was a puppy. He use to let us touch his feet no problem and then one day. We couldn’t even just lay our hand on them. Peanut butter is his absolute favorite and that doesn’t even keep him distracted.

Oh no!! I’m so sorry about that love 😔 Unfortunately as dogs get older a lot of times they don’t like their paws touched for many reasons - whether it be previous trauma, a current issue they’re dealing with, or simply just being super uncomfortable with the feeling. A few years ago a foster dog I was helping care for attacked my hand when I touched his paws and I learned it was just his protective instinct (which was def scary but I understood why he did it). I’d recommend going to a highly rated groomer (go through their customer reviews and look at people’s nail experiences specifically) if he’s not letting you do so at home. Aww your fur baby is adorable!! I started grooming my dog who is a yorkipoo during the pandemic. The groomers were closed and I’m like my baby is starting to look like a bear and to my surprise he loves it! He was never a fan of the groomers anyway he definitely prefers me because he trust me, but I wasn’t really sure I could do it but I just took my time and it turned out really cute. I loved all your tips and I feel you on those nail clippers lol so I will be trying some of the products you suggest! Great video 👍

This is one the reasons I’ve held off on getting a dog, especially a Yorkie (I want one so bad) . I’ve heard too many bad stories about groomers & pups being traumatized

Aww I hope I didn’t scare you too much more with my comment about not trusting groomers - there are some really great ones out there, you just have to do your research/read their customer reviews/SEE PHOTOS!!! Yorkies are super sweet and affectionate dogs, so I hope you’re able to have a fur baby like Banks one day!! He was 10000% worth the wait! 🐾💕

Awww YAY!! So glad you loved it 🐾♥️ After several trial runs, the IAMS Small Breed dry food is the only one that hasn’t upset his stomach/eyes. I want to try something like The Farmer’s Dog in the future because I’ve heard such great things about them - hopefully Banks likes it but WE GON SEE 😂😂 Also thank you so much for letting me know about the blow dryer! That’s exactly why I’m a pet groomer now I love animals and I didn’t trust anyone with my babies and I was never happy with the groom it was always choppy! @groomsbylolita
