Hi, Charlow and Linet. Spinach/swiss chard does well in fertile soils with high organic content. It also does well if watered regularly with good drainage. The secret is in the soil, it must be fertile. Next time plant them in soil to which animal waste has already been incorporated.
I don't think chicken has fleas but more so mites or lice. And yes they will get into your clothes and bite you. Leek onion make the food very tasty. Glad you have those.
Hi Linet and Charlie! As usual, it was a pleasure watching your videos. Happy for you harvesting the “fruits “ of labor . Just one small suggestion:Remember to place your fruits and vegetables in a container after you wash them as opposed to putting them on the ground, as you did with the carrots. In this way you guard against possible contamination. Keep up the good work guys. You are doing very well as a team 👍🏾
Watering is good for the garden but to much can also cause problems such as root rot. So be careful with the amount and time you are watering the plants.😊 I just love how you all work together as a couple sharing all of the garden chores. You all will definitely have a long lasting marriage.
You both are the best. I'm just viewing and subscribed to you channel two day ago. I love you content. Very informative, inspirational, and motivating. I love you parenting style. You both demonstrate what live is all about, working together. Much love to you from Trinidad and Tobago. ❤
Guys, thanks for the lessons on planting carrots. I certainly would have dug deep holes and cover with lots of soil.😂😂 I am still waiting to see my green peppers and tomatoes! It's been more than a month, and nothing! The plants have sprung, but, no fruit. Hmmm!🤔 You have a beautiful food garden and I wish you happy gathering!😃😄 Blessings.🙂
😅Hello Lynette and Charlow ,my husband and I were watching both of you and we saw the stone wall you guys were standing in front of and my husband said that you guys should plant grape vines and or any other Vining plants that loves the sun , against that stone wall on a 9 inch by 9 inch square grid pattern structure 4 inches in front of that wall Build the squares out of 2 inches by 2 inches of wood and then support the 2 by 2 square by 2 by 4 inch beams to make it stronge to brace against the wind . You could also plant poll green beans and vining cucumbers on that
I love that both of you cooperate and are hardworking. In my country Uganda, and from the Northern region where I come from, garden work is left for women only.
You should call kitty murimi (meaning mkulima? Since he's always following you to the garden. It's probably a boy cos most gingers are male. Also, you should plan to get him spayed (surgically removing their balls) to avoid roaming when they become mature.
