it's important to separate the sprouts from the beans. the sprouts are to be planted to grow more trees, while the unsprouted beans are then dried to be made into everyone's favorite candy, chocolate.

@@leannlayton4221 That’s what I see online. However I planted a lot of seeds that were not at the ripe outer seed “ sweet” level ( more dry) and they all sprouted. In nature no one peels the outer seed coating right? Maybe doing that gives the seeds a better chance at germination?

Make sure to plant in a non-windy area. Cacao does not tolerate wind.

What type of cacao did you use and does have to be a specific type to grow it the way you did in the video? And does the cacao have to be green ? do you have to germinate seeds from cacao before planting?

Hey i am 12 and i am from sri lanka are you from sri lanka My ones have just rooted and they are about to sprout I found this out because i planted one test seed and checked it today I found you were sri lankan from that biscuit tin you were using which was either munchee or maliban isnt it. Anyway thanks for the info.

The little white root end goes in bottom. You should carefully plant the cleaned brown seeds.

@Win Chun you are supposed to peel pulp from seeds, careful not to break them, plant white tip down just below soil in pH 6. High humidity or mist watering only in heat AND shade.

To tell when it’s ripe you shake it and you should hear a riddle inside and that means it’s ripe if it was still ripening on the tree you scrape the skin and there’s no green at all that’s when it’s ripe if there is green it’s not going to be ripe
