I wish you had gone 2 more weeks up to the harvesting stage. Those who are new to this would wonder if the growing medium in the colander is reusable and whether new shoots and leaves can grow from from the old roots and the leftover stems. This is what I do: I use paper napkins at the bottom of the colander, which eventually decompose. After harvesting coriander, I put the roots, the residual paper napkins, and about 1/2 inch of bottom stems in the compost. I use the rest of the stems and, of course, leaves in cooking. Delicate stems, and young leaves at the nodes are not only flavorful but they are also enriched with medicinal properties. It is tempting to try to get more coriander but the slow growth from the "leftover" is not very rewarding.

Omg! We are in such country, where I literally long always to get corriander leaves, esply while making 'rasam'. Actually, I just thought of growing corriander leaves in soil. But unfortunately, we don't have any soil space in or around our house also to get this grow. So we used to long for this aroma. But feel so missing that we never knew this trick before.. thks.. U mean seriously it will grow as the way you had shown- na sister?? I'll try & thanks a lot!!
