"If seasonal growth is set to paused, nothing will grow" OMG, thanks for mentioning this! I've been waiting for ages, nothing grew, had that set to paused. 🤣🤣
I personally love growing cotton, easy. Profitable. I have 300 sheep producing wool while cotton is growing/ 2 spinnerys and 1 clothing facilities. Aswell as 3 large chicken coops ( full box semi trailer = 133000L of eggs, $350k-$450k depending on month to sell. This works for me if anyone out there is wondering on an early farm set up, havent sold my clothing yet im waiting to have a box trailers worth of it. Or if anyone has any tips or ideas let me know im open to it. Farmer cop, keep up the good work i love the vids. Been with ya since fs19 or fs17 can’t remember.
@@jimjasutis5046 as long as you have 1000l of wool in ur spinnery youll produce 1000l of fabric, i let each sheep farm get about 3 pallets of wool produced then ill take it to my spinnery and mine never runs out I’ve actually had wool just sitting in front of the spinnery until there was room.
@@blakeclubbs4969 I just ran a test on a separate map. I bought the spinnery and checked out the formula. It now says it takes 2 wools to make one fabric, and this is repeated 1440 times per month, which means to keep the output going, I need 2880 L of wool per month. From your explanation, it looks like 300 sheep produce more than enough wool. I was trying to figure out how many sheep it takes to make 2880 liters of wool per month.
@@jimjasutis5046 yes, sir, Also, your sheep will go up in value over time, i personally buy the black mountain sheep for $200 (youngest, second from bottom) they give the most profit after a couple years, usually every 36 months ill sell all my sheep and purchase new ones, i always buy 10 sheep less than max because they do reproduce, but in the start of them game i invest in chickens first, they are a money maker. Then take those profits and build the sheep farm. I think the clothing production route is slept on, if you are growing cotton and producing wool, im trying to buy a second tailor shop to go with my second spinnery bc im producing so much product. By far in my opinion the best route to go… what platform do you play on?
@@blakeclubbs4969 I'm on a PC. I was wondering about animal reproduction. Say you have the large sheep barn. If you put in 60 sheep that leaves 5 spots, but the way animals reproduce they all do it at the same time. So, when it comes time to drop babies, those 60 sheep are going to want to produce 60 young, but you only have space for 5. Does the game give you the five new sheep, or does the fact that you don't have room for all 60 does it not give any?
I hate how there’s such a limited selection of direct seeding tools. It’s the most useful thing ever. Eliminates the need of 2 tractors running only one field
Thanks for the tutorial. I bought a field and only noticed that it was growing cotton halfway through. Trying to decide if I should just cultivate it rathern than spending the money to harvest :)
Go with case ih to start. Much cheaper and no real differences with machines other than you have to go off the field to drop your square bales vs the round bales where you can keep going and drop them in the fields (and I don’t think that’s worth the extra $362,000). And with the module c semi trailer all u have to do is back up to the square bails and it loads automatically via conveyer belt. I’d say later you can ball out if you want JD (because it does look a lot nicer in appearance than the case Ih imo)
You can either buy a trailer for a truck. That one will load 2 big 20k bales. Or you can get a loader for behind a tractor. Also you could buy a flat deck/drop deck trailer for tractor or truck and load the bales on it manually with for example a wheelloader.
Cotton Is my favorite crop to grow but this new seasons crap makes it virtually impossible I plant massive fields so by the time I'm done harvesting and plant again I have to wait sooooo long for it to grow granted during that wait time I can go do forestry stuff but still is frustrating. Btw love your channel you're the only fs22 guy I watch
I can’t get the harvester to unload partial bales! Any help is appreciated, I currently have 7720 liters of cotton that I can’t get out of my harvester
Doesn't matter which tractor i use I can't get that Wheelie grab to work. Any suggestion. Just how does it work ? Cause I can't get to grab ahold of anything
does any field work performed out of order undo previous feild work like a game glitch sort of thing? or can all fieldwork be performed litteraly in any order (ignoring tge fact that its obvious when certain things should be done due to common sense just asking in general if can be done any orflder and if it undoes it if not) for example if i decide to furtalize after 1 month pass seeding then fertalize again a month later will it undo lime done a month prior? if i use the rock tool not roller does it undo cultivation? if i decide to plow then cultivate then fertlize would any prior field states be lost? you get the idea.
Preping of a new field for cotton or basically any crop, one should alway's first plow, remove stone's, if stones are small, utilize roller instead, then if needed, lime; After lime if needed, the first application of fertilzer, either solid or liquid. Because a good planter will generally allow one to add liquid fertilzer. I'd suggest the first being that of liquid. Plant the cotton, if and when it's first noticed, while the cotton is in it earily growth stage, use a weeder, don't wait until growth is to far along where as weeding will and would have an effect on total yield, when the device needed, will ruin a percentage when driving over the crop. Hence the usage of having duel tires on front and back of tractor appling what ever. Prior to seeding after the first ferilization, I prefer to roll the field. It assit the crop regardless of what it is getting the seed down into the soil, in real life, make's the seed less aceptable to bird's also. Depending on your farm being above or below the frost line. Being below doesn't require plowing any new field more than once ever. One can utilze either a shallow or deep cultivator, if stone's are medium, remove, if not, roll the field. After field is properly prepped, plant with planter that has the ability to add a second process of fertilization. Wait until harvest, do some tree harvesting and processing and even a bit of chip's until field is ready to harvest. After harvest and before the next prepping, do some more tree harvesting and processing. Doing tree harvesting and processing during the growth cycle and the prep cycle. Keep's one busy and one can actually make a pretty good amount of money while waiting for the harvest time, and the prep time. The bottom line to the success or failure of any bussiness is referred to as "P Cubed", in laymen term's that's "PISS, POOR, PLANNING!!!
Yes! I bought a new field that came with cotton ready to harvest. I leased a cotton harvester and it left a ginormous bale of cotton in the field and I don't know what to do with that... But I wish I could have just bought or leased a cotton header for my existing combine rather than a separate harvester just for cotton...
Just lease a trailer to pick it up, its all explained in this video how to pick up the bales. You cant harvest cotton with a regular harvester hence why there is a separate one designed for it :)
Anybody looking in the comments to see if his video works? It does, but I also wanted to shout out. How to get so much money. All you have to do is sign out of your game go to mods and downloads and go to miscellaneous and find government standby signs then if you place as many as you want all around your map, then every hour you get a certain amount of money and the white signs give you the most
Hello Bro, Big fan your videos i have a little bit doubt I took a contacts in FS22. COTTON harvesting the problem was i harvested full but at last there is balance cotto in John Deere CP690 I CAN'T able to unloaded give me a solution please 🥺
"cultivator field creator mod" makes some seeders for example amazon unavaible to change seed type cause to chnage that you need to pres Y and for seeders it is button to change seeds so this is a colision two functions under one and same butto...
With Lime, look at it this way, if you apply lime you get a 15% bonus but if you do not apply it nothing changes. That is how lime and fertilizer work, but for plowing, if you do not plow when required for example it will be a 15% hit but if you do plow nothing will be different as the yield will be normal as opposed to having a negative
I’ve looked at the map and don’t see anything. Is there a particular place I need to look? I’m new to this game and I love it! I’ve watched a lot of your videos trying to learn the tricks and tips.
You need to mulch the field also to get 100% yield. I believe it's mulch, cultivate, seed, fertilize, roll (If needed) weed (if needed) then fertilize again.
I have a question. I just purchased FS22 last night, i harvested all the cotton in the field for a contract. The field supplied 3 bales which i took to market, but the left over / extra in the harvester needs to go to market as well and there isn't enough to make a full bale. What do i do?
I was looking for this comment. I have this same problem as well. The John Deere cotton harvester doesn’t seem to be able to unload partial bales! I’m on PS5.
@@VRietz it’s been a few months, but what I found out was that only the red Case IH harvester let’s you unload partial bales. The John Deere does not. I recommend only accepting contracts that let you rent the Case IH, or you can end up losing a lot of $$ from the contract. It’s one of the really bad bugs that eventually led me to stop playing.
I believe its Y but open the help menu to see what it is, they have to have a certain amount before they can be unloaded though so sometimes you cant do it
I just saw another video on weeds. According to his test, if weeds ever show up you are going to take a yield hit, even if you take care of them. According to his test, the only way to avoid this is to use herbicide immediately after planting, or at least some time BEFORE any weeds show up.
