Thank you for sharing this video. I would like to try to grow my own cumbers. I live in an apartment. I have a balcony. What would be the best months to start planting them?
If you grow them indoors, you can start them anytime! If you want to put them out on a balcony, they only do well when it is warm outside. They will germinate and be ready to plant out within 3 weeks.
Regular potting soil works well. I like miracle grow moisture control. I do make my own with coco coir, compost, and perlite. I add a little worm castings and organic, all purpose fertilizer to that mix.
I am in Utah zone 6/7. I grew those cucumbers on wire racks under Walmart Honeywell stoplights.
