Those spots were just dead petals from the flowers that were stuck to the leaves. If you watch closely, they’re sitting on the leaf rather than part of them. Explains why they’re not there in the last clip.😊
@lemontea128 it's not fake....maybe the potato slice garbage is but this is a real method they're propagating the plant from leaf cuttings most people use rooting hormone to aid and encourage root development faster though... I find it funny though all that talk about the internet at our finger tips but yet you couldn't even do the "one Google search" to know this is not fake I only know because I've done this before. They're doing it with hydrangeas because they're one of the easiest plants to propagate from cuttings.
I had just bought one and thought I would need to buy one for mom....now I don't need to. You saved me money she and I will have these all over the place TFS
I've seen this method many times on those videos of foreign people gardening in the middle of nowhere. I've tried this myself with several leaves from various plants. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. This typically works with the roots growing directly from the leaves and not the stems. You will need a piece of Styrofoam to stick the leaf in to keep it floating above the water with only a small tip of the leaf submerge to get roots. Some leaves get waterlogged and rot but others actually make oops. I just planted some hydrangea seeds last night that's why I'm googling this subject. I still have my pink hydrangea plant from last year. I thought it had died but I just kept watering it and kept it in a mostly shady area and it grew back so definitely a perennial. These need to be in a partial shade with semi Sun and they grow well. I have mines perched under a huge oak tree with only a sprinkle of sunlight throughout the day. I planted one seed per pot last night and if these grow seedlings I will put them in my partial shade garden bed.
Hydrangeas are like weeds, they can grow in any soil, they just need a lot of water...no need for a potato or anything else, put a branch in the ground and it will bloom next spring.
Hey my hydrengea cutting (which i placed in soil)has been started rotting, and another one which i placed in water that cutting is still alive but no root came out from past 20 days what should i do now?pkease help😭
Did you know if you hollow a Pumpkin out and fill it with chopped up strawberries, bananas and peaches, several Fruit Cocktail Trees will sprout out of it?
