Magnolias are a must have in the garden as they are super versatile and offer something new every season. Whether you’re planting one or have an existing tree, looking after them is Easy As.
That is such an interesting accent! He kind of eats his vowels 😅 had to listen carefully. Also for anyone that doesn’t want to use animal products ( I’ve never even heard of sheep pellets), you don’t need to use anything animal in gardening. My magnolias are huge And just use good potting soil maybe some slow release fertiliser, alfalfa meal, seaweed, compost any of those will work :)
That burgundy color is stunning! I’ve never seen it. I planted a Jane mag about three weeks ago. It seems okay. I live in Michigan. My aunt bought it for me, so I hope it’s the fuschia color. I’ll find out next spring!
Awesome tips!! Thanks!! One question though, I'm in California and was wondering about those "sheep pellets"... Does it have to be those or can you recommend something I can easily get around here?? Thanks in advance!!!
I have a Stellata magnolia in a pot,but it's not doing very well.If I plant it in the centre of my garden, does it send lots of roots outwards? I had to get a flowering cherry cut down because it grew unmanageable and the roots were killing all the plants underneath.I sure don't want to make that mistake again! Hope you can help please?
You should have left the roots alone. Your Magnolia tree may not flower again the next 3 -5yrs if you mess with the roots. Just drop it in the ground with the root bound , no problemo.
