Is there any way of asking Martin back Allen to talk about how to expand a business with recruiting engineers etc? I find it hard to get the right engineer in and how can you trust them when it’s your own company name on the line? Thanks Allen.
It's very interesting, but all the boilers I install (Baxi) have 7 or 10 year warranties. So how can I sell a maintenance contract to my customers when they already have a manufacturers warranty?
There are a few companies saying set up service plans but what happens if you set up a service plan and over a year you say collect £350 tops that person needs a PCB on one visit plus a gas valve on another and then maybe some other work would that not leave you out of pocket I would be interested to see how many one man bands are doing service plans and if they are making money ??
What would be a good price to offer for plans plus if the customer pays per month lets say £20 a month and if they need any parts how would that work you would loose money then make money
A good bit of advice and something to think about. My only concern would be how many employees you’d need to cover everything. It’s hard finding decent engineers who are not already busy
I’m in the motor trade Allen, we have been selling service plans for about 10 years, they build in great value to the customer. Once you have their details, you have opportunities to upsell during the year, special offers, maybe a discounted boiler in the quiet months. It is definitely the way to go. We do 2 or 3 year plans, the way to sell them is it’s fixed at todays prices and won’t go up in price over the term of the plan 👍
Hey Allen . Just been looking at the new entrants course at viva training. Would doing the new entrants course be enough to get employed as a gas safe engineer. Thanks 🙏
@@AllenHart999 thanks a lot Allen. Really appreciate it. Just enrolled into the new entrants course at viva training. Hoping to complete the course and find employment after.
Here's my tips for growth: 1) Take out as many large loans of possible and invest the money in Facebook adverts 2) advertise £39 boiler service then once onsite rinse the tenant for every penny they have in 'faults' that you find if you catch my drift.
Hopefully the video will also help people with mindset, They do not need to use this app if they don,t want to. How to build and retain customers, How to balance the money out etc. Thanks.
