I believe you can but I like the pencil diameter sized branches. I have a full grown tree from such cutting. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!
@@eugenereed4078 I would leave it in for a week or two and put it under the shade so it does get too much sun/heat but that depends on where you live. Good luck.
Yes, I graft year round and I like grafting in the late summer and early fall as well. I find grafting during the Spring is easier but I have had success during late summer and early fall as well. Thank you for watching!
How many years will it take to start producing 1. blossoms & 2. firt edible fruits ? Do you prune your pomegranate trees to keep them low & shrub like & promote larger fruit ?
Hi Martin, I read somewhere it takes about 2.5 to 3 years to fruit. I have pruned my pomegranate trees but I can be better about doing that. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!
@@johnnysworld-backyardorchard Thanks. I've seen some 20 footers; I'd rather keep mine compact & keep the fruit reachable from the ground - as long as that does not harm the tree & ideally promotes larger fruit.
Hi Marx: you are correct, good eyes. I like using this specific shear when I deal with hard wood branch cuttings but I use my garden shears as well sometimes. It is funny, I use this specific shears to cut my chicken wires too. I use my gardening shears to cut my avocado tree branches for grafting though. Thanks for your comment and thank you for watching!
I don’t clean my pruners. I don’t use potting mix. I don’t worry about size. I don’t worry about rooting hormone. I don’t cut on a 45 degree angle. I don’t put a plastic bag on. And yes they grew well. All nonsense. RU-vidrs just following what other RU-vidrs say.
