Believe me... My majority of cuttings rooted and this has been for the first time in my life that successfully the Desi rose cuttings root ... Thanku so much I'm very happy ❤🤩☺️☺️☺️🙏
I think this is the best video I have seen of explaining how to propagate roses from water to growth. It is very detailed and informative! The progress clips are especially helpful, Thank you very much:)
I am here because my daughter brought me and my husband two red roses, one for each. Well when I was about to put them in a base with no water because they were "dead" I found out they are sprouting!. So thank you very much for this video.
Thank you for providing this video. I realize that it is from quite a while ago but it has been MOST informative and I likely will refer back to it often. I have my cabbage rose cuttings and a couple of mason jars with water in them to clean them and am going to head outside my camper to prepare them as well tend some of my other repotting projects. :)
@@Passionatesoul_Family4life I am trying this now and i think its possible! I simply placed my roses in water not thinking it would grow, I left for 2 weeks and came back and there was some bloom. Its not as green as in the video and its been in a dark house (with -20) outside but it definitely blooms. I just have to learn how to take care of it.
Wow thank you, i have different roses but I don't know the techniques how to propagate it, but because of this video I learn and lot, thank you so much❤️
Adding an aquarium air pump and an opaque container will increase your success rate to damn near perfect. Clear containers have a higher rate of algae growth and mold. Also if it's left in the bright sun that acts like a magnifying glass heating your water up and can cause a decreased success rate potentially leading to rot.
I did this earlier today got 6 cuttings trim all leaves and rose cut in 45 degrees both ends, got a large spaghetti jar I added 1/2 spoon of 10-10-10 fertilizer to help and speed process. Great video thanks.
I'm so excited, thanks to your video, I realise that I have 2 rose cuttings that are in fact growing roots in water! I was hopeful, but unsure whether the little noddule things at the end of the stems were roots or not. Now I know they are!!! Thank you!!!
Trying this already. Although my cuttings are off long stem roses. I hope this works for me, my mom has always been the one with the Green Thumb in our family. Thx 4 sharing. 👍☺👍
I'm not a good gardener and really don't know much. I put my cuttings in water but once new leaves started growing I planted it in soil. It didn't have roots so now I know what I did wrong. Awesome video
I did it 2 weeks ago and today all my stem from rose is flowers that was given to my daughter birthday 7/28 I took them a week later and cut them and put them in water and sat them on my bench outside next to my other plants 🌱 and it actually working I saw roots and new buds growing out
It's not a lot of oxygen in the water. You changed water one time in a week. Change the water two times a week. You need oxygen in the water to support rooting. When you change the water you will get more oxygen in the fresh water and less rot. Actually its better to do rooting in river sand because sand will get water but also more oxygen to support rooting than in the pure water rooting case. But when rooting in the sand, you need to add more water to the jar with holes in the bottom time after time make sure that sand stays wet.
Hi Tigran would u consider making a video on rose propagation with river sand ...this is the very first of heard of it and Iv watched quite a few tutorials. Many thanks for a great suggestion.
That's interesting as, I've always been taught of how plants breath IN co2 and out oxygen. So you're saying theres too much "oxygen" in sitting water..well that would change the whole structure of water itself. Thousands of plants grow in ponds, but I don't see anyone changing out the pond water
@@ku6479 hes not saying theres too much oxygen, hes saying theres not enough, there would be far more oxygen in a pond then a sitting jar of water, some people will even add an air stone from an aquarium to their cutting water to help the roots from sitting in stale water. stale water is much more likely to cause rotting of the cuttings
Most of the roses in my garden were only from "rose cuttings". There are bed roses, shrub roses and climbing roses. At first I put them in a glass with water for a few days and then planted them in a small pot. When they already have roots I transferred them to my garden, direct to the soil with sunlight and there they grew up and bloomed. Have also planted rose cuttings directly in soil during autumn, covered them with pine branches till springtime. In month of may, many leaves appear and has several buds already. At that time I removed all pine branches coverings because they need direct sunlight. In summer, the rose cuttings start to root before 1 month because of the warm weather.
Thank you! Great video. Only one small complaint - I wish you had shown the picture of the first rose that bloomed on one of the cuttings and the time it took for that to happen.
I am currently trying this, the bottom of the rose stem actually turned black and seems to be at a stand still. The rose cutting is still growing leaves though. Do I need to change anything about what I am doing?
I can never grow them once I cut and give honey/hormone then plant in soil. NEVER works for me 😭😭😭 so. Gonna try this. Thank you so much! Keep making these helpful videos!
@@GrowGreenGarden Salam. Still some clarification is needed... Better if it could be guided monthwise as I intent in September or October and in Abbottabad.

Hello! how uh doing? I want to ask u that I kept my single cutting in water 10 days ago and m not able to see a thing coming up...how long will it take to root...plz do tell me more dying to see something coming up
In the video she says that different clippings take different times to root, however, that 1 specific clipping that she had took a little bit over than a month to root completely before she potted in soil.
